He started with the common cards. He could use all ten at the same time, so he did. The summons he received were: two skeletons, three humans, a goblin, two kobolds, and two cows. They were all pretty nondescript, with the most variation between two cards of the same kind being gender differences. Nothing else about them stood out, other than the fact that they were all only 10DP.
The uncommon cards were a bit more exciting since they now had classes and more racial variety. He received two human swordsmen, who had different faces but identical stats and abilities, and one more human as well. This one was a spearman. He got a lizardman, a hobgoblin, and another skeleton and they were all mages. The last two were a hawk and a snake. All of these ones were 100DP.
The rare cards were where he started to get excited by the diversity. He got a merman with a trident, an elven magical archer, a human magic swordsman, a cyclops berserker, and a vampire alchemist. The other five were all dwarven blacksmiths, oddly enough. Maybe he could use them all to level up whichever dwarf he liked the most. They were all 1000DP.
The uniques ranged anywhere from 2000-4000DP. He obtained a great bear (3500), a demon noble (3000), a super hero (4000), a battle strategist (2500), and a high priestess (2000). The super hero definitely didn’t seem like it belonged in the packs he was currently pulling from, but he didn’t complain. It would surely be useful at a later date.
The two legendary cards were next.
One gave him Clyde, the Pope. He had no faith he was currently following, but that didn’t seem to stop him from using divine powers. He was spec’d with extremely high intelligence and a holy magic stat as well, meaning he was likely to be a healer. He wasn’t even as much as Seru’s right price even though he seemed amazing, only costing 7500DP to summon.
The other one gave him Kia, the Spirit Princess. She was another mage class with high intellect, but she also had high stats in a bunch of different elements and a stat called spirit. Whether she focused on single target or area of effect magic was something he couldn’t immediately discern since none of these summons had any skills listed. She was also 7500DP.
Last but not least was the mythic summon card. He had no idea what to expect but he was definitely excited. If he could get something that was tankier than he and Seru were then their party composition would really start to come together. Coming in with the most expensive price of 15000DP was Jack Frost.
He didn’t know what to think. He wasn’t the tank that he was hoping for, but he was definitely a catch. The Jack Frost was someone he could summon? He imagined powerful and piercing ice attacks alongside wide area devastation when the summon created a brutal icy hellscape out of the battlefield.
“What do you think, Seru? You and I can both more or less be called magic swordsmen, since we use a combination of quick mid to short range magical attacks as well as close ranged physical contact. Keeping that in mind, what do you think we need most?”
“We need powerful rear support that can take out multiple enemies at once. You and I mostly have single target attacks. That, or someone that can provide us with heals and buffs as support so we can remain safe.”
He nodded in agreement. She had the right idea. “And which summon do you think would be best for that?”
“Jack Frost.”
A shiver shot down his spine. She had chosen the summon he wanted the most! Sure, it would cost everything he had, but that was the fun part of it all. High risk, high reward!
“Agreed. Be prepared to welcome your first junior.”
He confirmed that he was sure about his decision and, after a brief rainbow colored flash of light, a tall and slender man with snow white skin appeared before the two of them.
Amon let the moment hang in the air. He was happy, but he didn’t know what to say quite yet. This was his summon, but what type of person was he? As he looked up at the man, he almost offered his new companion a smile, but he noticed something strange. There was a look of utter annoyance plastered across Jack’s face.
“You are in the presence of Lord Amon, show some respect,” said Seru, quickly stepping up to the rude new summon. This scene seemed familiar, but he wasn’t mad at it. Seru was the big sister, so she had to establish the pecking order!
“Mmcht,” he said, sucking his teeth and turning his head away from the both of them. He shoved his hands into the pockets of the plain white pants he was wearing and jumped off of the root they were on, soaring towards the root where the other two facilities were.
Maybe this happened because of Seru's abysmal leadership stat.
He checked Jack’s status and his jaw almost dropped. He was only level one and his stats were better than his own! He would definitely be a useful asset on the battlefield, so he would have to figure out how to get along with him.

I wasn’t really expecting to pull a tsundere this soon but it’s whatever I guess.
“Lord Amon, I could reach the other root in less than an hour if I descend the root and run on the floor.”
“No, don’t worry about it.” he wasn’t really keen on creating conflict right now. He had just spent all of his points on what might be a temporary roadblock, so he wanted to do something that was actually productive. “Let’s go shopping.”
He had two options for returning back to what was the real world for him now, even though the world his dungeon was in felt just as real. He could return to where he last was, which was his hotel room, or he could use the spawn point of the floor and go back to where he originally ended up when coming to the floor.
He didn’t have anything that he needed in his room and the spawn point was close to where he was staying, so he figured it was simpler to go there and chose to transport.
When he arrived in the street he had just been on the previous night, he was surprised to see that it was completely empty despite it being the middle of the day. It was a bright and sunny day out too, so he had no idea why it was an absolute ghost town. There weren’t even any sounds coming from inside the buildings, which was more than just a little off putting.
“Is this some kind of event?” he said under his breath, looking around for the direction he was supposed to be going in. Something in the back of his head screamed at him to move, so he did, and he was thankful that he did. The spot he had been standing on was now a smoldering pit and bits of debris were falling to the ground around him. He almost got vaporized!
‘New Skill Generated: Sixth Sense!’
He looked around for his enemy, but he didn’t see anyone. Was there a sniper? If that was the case, he saw no point in summoning Seru. He needed to find cover, so he started running toward the hotel.
He made it to the front doors with more shots trailing behind him, hitting spots he had previously occupied once again. The doors didn’t slide open this time. He knocked, but they didn’t respond. He actually saw some of the people inside looking at him from the videos, but they didn’t even make a sound.
He went to return to his dungeon.
‘Function cannot be used while in combat.’
Shit!
He turned to face his invisible foe. He would gamble on his new skill. If his sixth sense alerted him of the attack before it came again, he could dodge and follow the trajectory of the shot back to its source. Or maybe he could counter it and reflect it right back?
Whatever he was going to do, he had to stand tall and do it. These people had left him out to rot, so he had to overcome the odds stacked against him. Otherwise, he’d die!
He prepared a fan of mana bullets behind him and calmed his breathing. He closed his eyes, then it happened. A river of wind was formed in the air, pulling him off of his feet and into a window that closed tight behind him.
He turned to see where he was now and saw a tiny old lady with a cane looking down at him since he had landed on his ass. A soft purple aura surrounded her, which only meant one thing. This old woman had something valuable, maybe even something that could help him defeat the enemies outside. Some kind of extra enhancement to his vision so he could detect all foes? Maybe even a mana sensing technique that would eliminate his blindspots?
“Thank you for saving me,” he said humbly as he rose to his feet.
“I couldn’t bare to see another young man die. Take a seat, you’ll have to stay here until nightfall,” she said as she walked off.
“Do people die often around here?”
“No, because most people know not to go outside when the sun is out. Don’t you know it’s dangerous to be out in the day?”
He laughed softly, but she only gave him a stern look in response. “It’s actually the opposite where I’m from.”
He sat on a couch and looked around the room. She had an upstairs studio apartment that was modestly furnished. There was nothing special about it, but he did find himself looking at the picture frames that decorated the entertainment center that her tv sat on. All of them were pictures of a young couple.
She returned with two cups and handed him one before following his vision to the pictures and going to pick one up. He took the cup, which was initially empty, and it was immediately filled with lemonade. He was thankful that it could make whatever he wanted because he would’ve felt bad if something nasty was the customary drink of this city. Like tea. Yuck.
“My late husband was a Player too. He was pretty average compared to the rest, but he was still good enough to make a living out of it. We met here and I followed him on his adventures. It started off with him just paying me to accompany him and help him level his summons up, but I fell in love with the look he got on his face whenever he was exploring. You know, Players can always randomize their next quest for their dungeon, yet he never chose to do that. He was always hunting for something bigger than the last one. He wanted his dungeon to be the ultimate adventure and he knew that he had to carefully curate it for that.”
“He sounds like he was a diligent man. That makes him well above average.”
She smiled softly, more to the picture than to anyone else.
“I suppose you’re right, but he wouldn’t have been able to survive against those Tanis. Especially not as a new Player. You have a lot of potential. What’s your name?”
“Amon, ma’am.”
He was happy with himself. This old lady probably had old friends in some adventurer’s guild somewhere, so a good impression would probably end up being brought up, adding to the random good perceptions of him he needed to be mixed in with the negative ones his actions were sure to cause in the future so that he could be seen as some sort of complex enigma that would save a city just as quickly as he would destroy one.
“Well, Amon, I have a proposal for you. My husband left a map behind, it supposedly leads to a treasure. Would you like it?”
‘Hidden Adventure discovered!

“I would be honored to finish his task.”
“Great, you have good manners to be so young. I’ll give you something else as well.” she set the picture down and rummaged through one of her closets before coming to him with a rolled up map and two bracelets. “This is the map, and these bracelets are cosmetic items that override the appearance of whatever you’re wearing to fit in with the theme of the world you’re in. Good luck.”
He took the items graciously. Would he have thought anything of the bracelets if he didn’t get the tip from the System that she was evil? With that in mind, it was kind of odd that she just had adventurer gear lying around. Sure, others might have written it off as a relic from the olden days, but there was no dust on the bracelets at all. These were new.
‘Would you like to enter the adventure?’
Obviously, he chose yes.
