“This is my granddaughter”. That was a twist that i didn't expect. “You see, a few month’s back an incident happened. My granddaughter keept pestering me about wanting to help me in my research”. Then the dwarf said,

“And i caved in, i let her come with me to this facility. It at first all went well but then the incident happened...something went wrong and this part of the facility began getting corrupted fast!. Then the dwarf followed.

“And we couldn’t stop it...if not for my granddaughter isabella. You see she had been learning holy magic and holy magic is the only way to permanently destroy corruption...so we had to make a choice”. Then with bearing breath the dwarf concluded.

“She decided that she would be in that tube and stop the corruption...and we can’t take her out because it would corrupt the entire facility”. And i could see that he was angry.

“Is this facility so important that it costs a person's life!”. I said exasperated.

“Well you see a powerful family wants their son to have the lightning dragon and to confirm that the lightning dragon became their son’s so they have sealed it here. So we must wait for the dragon to get hatched and for the family to get here and we simply don't have that time!”. Then the dwarf followed up with.

"Because she at most has 2 weeks before the effects of the corruption get’s to her. But thankfully the dragon hatches in about two week’s. But that isn’t the problem the noble family is. They plan to go very slowly and take their time which would take at least 1 month”. The dwarf said.

“Which would definitely kill isabella and we already have said that to the noble family but they don’t care. But there is still hope!. Let’s say someone just happened to be taking care of the dragon egg when the dragon egg hatched and now the dragon is very attached to it’s new master”. Oh i’m starting to get it.

“And that someone didn’t have a contract that would harm them if the dragon got attached to them and everyone said that it was pure luck then we would be able to take out isabella and save her”. And i’m that someone.

“But there is a risk. You see after we take out isabella the facility would get corrupted at a very high speed. So there would be a MASSIVE fight against the corrupted monsters now we could lay LOW but in the end we would have to fight very hard and only someone with a huge resolve could do that. “Well either way we gotta go home”. I began following him but stopped after hearing...shark noises?. I looked around and saw that the noises came from a bucket. I walked closer to it and looked inside.

There was a literal small baby shark in there. Well what should i do? i mean i could leave it but my animal loving side couldn’t do it. “Hey dwarf guy, can i take this baby shark?”.

“Sure, consider it training for the lightning dragon”. I then took up the bucket with the shark and followed the dwarf. When we arrived at my room, so was Ren there.

“Hi Ren”. I greeted.

“What is that ugly ass bucket”. Ren insulted and Not even a greeting,and how dare! you insult! Jeff yes that is the baby shark’s name. I was about to say something but the dwarf guy beat me to it.

“How dare you! insult Jeffy!”. I didn’t even say his name to the dwarf guy. Me and dwarf guy looked eyes and realised that we had chosen the same name and right there that instance we did a dap up.

“Okay sorry that i insulted your bucket but what is that noise?. Ren concluded.

“Oh this is my new pet!”. I don’t think that she will accept it. After the dwarf guy and Ren looked at each other she said.

“Oh okay. So have you thought about what i said”. Yes.

“Yes i have i realised that fighting to the end can be the difference between living and dying”. I concluded.
