Before Sezarath, before the horde, and before the Stone Guard, there was the Legion, a force of mercenaries hired from every nation, and race to guard Orkeylium. Sworn to the three oaths by powerful magic, they were the first and last line of defense against the constant goblin raids, and other nations of the world.

Created as a last resort to avoid violence, the orcs used the knowledge given to them by Lord Sezarath to train, and make them a force to be reckoned with despite being a bunch of mercenaries.

For many years, they acted as peacekeepers, guarding villages and towns, until eventually they became the King's own personal army, and were renamed the King's Legion.

The Basic Structure of the army is as follows:

Squadron: consisted of 8 warriors.

Company: was made up of 10 squadrons with a total of 80 warriors commanded by a Commander.

Brigades: included 6 companies and were made up for a total of 480 fighters, not including officers. In addition, the first brigade was always at double strength with an additional 480 warriors, making it 960.

Lord Captain:

Battlemaster:

The Battlemaster was the commanding officer of the first brigades, and had charge of all other commanders in the entire Legion. They were the keepers of discipline.

Each Legion had 59 to 60 commanders, one to command each company of the 10 brigades. They were the backbone of the professional army and were the career soldiers who ran the day to day life as well as issuing orders in the field.

Last in the chain of command, they led the squadrons in the field.

Outside of the military structure were other organized bodies that acted as auxiliaries of specialized warriors. Such as the: Battlemages, The Bulwark, Stone Wolves, Widow Walkers, Silver Shields, and Truthseekers.

Battlemages - College trained mages that had a penchant for destruction magic.

Bulwark - a primarily defensive force, recruited mostly from dwarves.

Stone Wolves - elite scouts and hunters.

Widow Walkers - comprised of battle-hardened females selected from the Legions.

Silver Shields - a well trained offensive force that could also secure locations.

Truthseekers - torturers and gatherers of information.
