With the arrival of the Yearning (The period of time in which Orcs began to crave meat) any resistance to the rule of the shamans evaporated like the wind, never to be seen from again. For while many harbored resentment against the Shamans and their laws. Theirs was the only source of reliable meat that seemingly never ran out. And although many desired to question where the meat had come from? More feared the terrible hunger that would overcome them should they stop feeding. A hunger that had many do questionable deeds in the dark of night.

It was this thought alone that drew every single Orc from all across Orkeylium where they were forced to make a pilgrimage to the great tent city that had risen up out of the ground to beg for food. With so many mouths to feed High Shaman Grozak finally decided it was time to push further west past Kahloon and into the Goblin lands of Caldasher (Caldasher means Cold plains in the goblin tongue). Dividing the many hosts that followed them into Warhordes,Grozak assigned each WarHorde a City to capture (A Goblin City is a flimsy thing, made of mud walls and dirt that could be easily torn down) and a Shaman to provide advise.

Grozak also desired that every Orc warrior should bring their captured goblins or goblin corpses immediately back to the WarHorde's Shaman. And although it was an odd command to give, many Orcs still believed it was because the Shamans wanted to make sacrifices to Lord Sezrath, which to most Orcs that had fought in Kahloon campaigns was a fairly normal practice. It would be many years later till they found out the truth.

Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

In any case the WarHordes broke apart to go their separate ways entering the mountainous lands of Caldasher. The goblins a fractured warring people that revolved their lives around tribal traditions were swept away before the might of the Warhordes with one City after the other toppled to the ground. Caldasher a vast cold land however was home to millions of Goblins,  who seeing their brethrens demise migrated northward to join the many other tribes that were gathering beneath the Mountains of Kalswan a holy and sacred sight to the Goblins. There thousands upon thousands of Goblins came together united by their hatred of the Orc invader.

Warlord Black Hand having pushed further north than the rest of WarHordes was the first to learn about the great goblin army massing beneath the Mountains. Believing this to be a perfect opportunity to shower himself in glory. He prepared to meet the massive goblin army alone. Using his Berserkers (roughly three thousand warriors in total) as the Vanguard of his Warhost he rapidly advanced towards the enemy. His main force totaling at around fifteen thousand Orc Warriors followed at a slower pace. Soon a huge gap separated the main force from the vanguard. It was then that the Goblins chose to strike pouring out from all sides to surround and attack the main force. Without the added advantage of the Berserkers, the Orcs were slowly being cut to ribbons as thousands of spears ripped apart their ranks. And while the Orcs fought with a ferocity and skill that should have won them a great victory, there were simply far too many Goblins to kill.

The battle was nearing it's death throes, when Warlord Black Hand attempted to break free, but was killed by a flying spear to the throat. In the end the Vanguard finding no goblins ahead of them returned back to Warhorde, where they joined the battle that had erupted behind them. But it was too late, too many of the Orcs were either dead or badly wounded. The Berserkers filled with a hunger for vengeance slaughtered thousands of Goblins, before they too succumbed to their wounds. Thereby ending the first great battle of Caldasher, also known as Black hands pride. This is noted down in the Orc chronicles as being their first major defeat. To be Continued.
