When I woke up, I was in an area that seemed to be like an auditorium. It was huge. It had no seats which made the place seem even bigger. There was a stage in the middle.

Now enough of that. It seems like I was knocked unconscious due to the teleportation. My head is spinning like crazy. My throat is dry, not from dehydration, but it is like all fluid just evaporated from my mouth.

I got up from the spot I had laid on.

What is this? There were people in here.

Not just one or two but nearly twenty. And they all seemed to be about my age too. Should I talk to them? I don't know if I want to.

As I was contemplating, a person approached me. It was a guy. He was about my height with dark hair and light brown eyes. He wore black jeans loose at the thighs and tight at the ankle part and a baggy plain blue T-shirt.

"Hey, was it the same for you too?" The guy asked.

"Oh you mean the black hole thing?"

"Yes, I was browsing through Renfit and got a message, the link was sent by an anonymous user. I clicked on it and here I am. It was all so sudden."

"It was the same for me too! It seems like all the people present here are Renfit users."

"Haha, yeah"

The text sent by the anonymous person flashed through my mind.

'join the program'. If what that person sent was true, then it would be helpful to make friends here rather than enemies.

I extended my hand to the guy standing in front of me. "What's your name?"

"Ah yes, I should've introduced myself sooner. I am Asher. What's yours?"

"I'm Andreas. I hope we can be friends."

"Yeah, same."

I looked around and everyone had a perplexed expression on their faces. Some of them were getting to know each other. Others were exploring the place.

A person appeared out of thin air on the stage at the centre. Unusually, he had purple eyes and white hair. But other than that, everything about him seemed normal. His height was on the taller side. I could see muscles even though he wore a suit.

The man started speaking, "I greet everyone present here today. All of you have come here to escape your current way of life, correct?"

No one answered the man. I knew the reason. It was very obvious. No one could even if they tried. The man was emitting an intense aura. It even made breathing a difficult task. Everyone's lips trembled, including mine. I just couldn't stop it. My fingers were jittery. Even if the notion of aura didn't exist on Earth, everyone present in this room could feel and understand it like it had been a part of our lives since the beginning.

A girl appeared beside him. She had red hair and soft features. And she too had purple eyes. She was taller than most women but she seemed short when standing next to the man.

She handed him a few documents. The man started reviewing them. And finally he had a look of satisfaction on his face when he was finished. He looked over at each of us gathered here. His face changed expressions while looking at each person. For example, he flashed a smile-lasting a fraction of a second-at a few and ignored a few others,while looking at my new friend Asher, he seemed to be having huge expectations for him. But when looking at me his face was expressionless. He just nodded to himself.

The man after handing over the documents to the girl who seemed to be his secretary, said, "I have reviewed your profiles. I hadn't expected much from you all to be honest. But a few of you seem to be quite interesting."

"Before proceeding further, I will introduce myself. I am Osiris Latix, a demon born from a family belonging to the highest class of aristocracy. This is not my true form. You humans won't be able to withstand my true form right now as I am an otherworldly being to you. However, you will be able to witness my true form after coming to my world. The world of your dreams."

Huh..? He was a demon? I have only heard of demons in stories. To think that I would meet one of them in person is mind-blowing. I honestly can't tell if I am in a dream or reality.

Osiris then gave us an overview of things at present. The black hole was one of his powers. He had been searching for people who had a different thought process to recruit to his world. The reason he gave for all this was simple.

"Entertainment. That's the reason I have called you all here. As a member of the Latix Family, I belong to the highest nobility. And the families belonging to the highest nobility watch over the world. They resolve conflict or inflict conflict at their will. But for a few years now, the world has been a bit bland. So to add color to our world, I have decided to recruit three people to my world. All noble families have decided that a few humans would be perfect for the job."

I got it. That was the catch right there. 'Recruit three people'. That is what the anonymous messenger had meant when he spoke about a 'program'. Out of the twenty or so people here, Osiris is going to choose three people for his world.

"I'm going to start the selection program now. With the data I've collected about you, I have created the profiles of each one of you. The selection would be based on the potential skills you could learn in our world, what attribute you are likely to inherit and the level of your current knowledge possessed."

Then Osiris shortlisted people based on these categories until only three of us remained.
