Finally, there was only one corpse on the lawn left. It was the corpse with the skull necklace. Peter's conclusion was proven half right as the big Greed Devil silently picked up the corpse instead of eating it.

The Greed Devil decided to bring back the corpse to the Church as he sensed the necklace bearing the power of his master. His mission was to search for the guys who went missing. Since he found one and also had a nice meal, he wanted to go back. He didn't sense the sanctuary of Ixchel. His strength and life level was too low even if sanctuary was established with a low level artifact and by using the power of moon inside the artifact.

However, just as he stood up after picking the corpse, three bullets blew up his entire head. He didn't even know how he was killed. Although regeneration ability of Greed Devil was good, his life level was too low after all. He died as he lost his head.

The headless big corpse of the giant Greed Devil fell on the lawn with a bang which showed the amazing weight of his big body. Soon, dark green blood started to flow out from the neck. At the same time when the Greed Devil was killed, the devil sleeping in the blood pool in the church shook and twitched several times which produced ripples on the surface of the blood pool. But soon, things returned to normal as two Greed Devil in front of the church received some orders and left the church. The direction they were going was actually the Jasmine Street where the previous Greed Devil was killed.

"It didn't seem that hard to kill them even though what we did was a sneak attack."

Brian rubbed his sore shoulder and told his thoughts. The other two old men were also feeling the muscle pains. They had to use heat plasters because they did crazy things yesterday. It hurt their body. They were no longer young after all even if they would exercise usually. Their vitality and strength were slowly passing away from their already aged bodies.

Although the threat was eliminated, officers were still intently holding the guns and observing the outside. Most of them were gathering at the front side of the second floor while only several people were left to watch out for other directions.

Kevin took out the necklaces from the satchel bag which was placed under the table at will. He became very interested about the real effect of these necklaces.

He raised his head and stared Peter for several seconds before he asked provokingly, "Mr. Detective, do you still want to test the effect of necklace? We can do that now. Kevin and Peter were holding the guns tightly while slowly opening the heavy front door. Two minutes later, the two finally opened the door and made it to the front porch. Magically, the wolves only continued to gnaw at the big corpse of Greed Devil. The wolves felt the familiar power contained in the necklaces so they chose to ignore the two. But, they didn't seem to find out the living humans inside the door. Only the pale light film in situ of the opened door was showing the magical power of artifact silently.

The two men immediately felt relaxed after seeing the wolves didn't care about them. However, they still walked to the lawn cautiously and they are ready to shoot at the wolves as long as they showed some abnormalities. Fortunately, even when they walked to the place which was only two meters away from a wolf, the wolf only glanced at them and continued devouring the meat of the big fat.

Kevin and Peter slowly approached the big corpse vigilantly. To their surprise, the wolves near them changed to new positions. And after testing a few times, they found that these wolves were still trying to retain a distance of at least two meters from them. But the meat of Greed Devil was probably attracting them too much and the chances were also possibly very rare to be able to eat it too.

The reality was also the same as their conclusions. So, although these wolves could feel the smell and power of their master Devil in the two humans, they only dodged to new places not far away and continued gnawing the corpse of Greed Devil. They were longing to evolve into higher life level and these meats were of great tonic to them, probably even better than the humans they had eaten before. They were reluctant to leave the corpse of Greed Devil.

Kevin was confused by their actions but Peter felt that they already tested the effect of necklace. Peter kicked hard on the arm of the Greed Devil which was bigger than him. They didn't feel the big size of the Greed Devil when they were in the second floor of Julia's big house.

But when they got closer, they found the fact that the big fat was actually much bigger than they thought. Peter greeted Kevin as he walked back to the house after taking off the necklace from the corpse in the hand of Greed Devil, "Let's go. We have already confirmed the effect. It is not safe outside even if we are now wearing the magical necklaces. Who can tell whether they would suddenly fail."
