Chapter 4. The man gripped his blade hard and backed away slowly, apparently to gather his breath. This, on the other hand, it was an excellent opportunity for me to advance. I dashed towards him, swinging my sword in my left hand. He protected himself with his own sword and kicked me in the stomach. I was shoved back and down to one knee. I felt like I was about to puke. I rose up and headed back towards him, this time hurling my sword at him. He easily deflected it, but by the time his eyesight cleared, I was already in front of him. When I kicked him in the ribs, I heard an audible snap. I hammered his stomach after my kick. He stumbled backwards, as if asleep, and smacked his head on the ground, cracking it open. Crimson blood poured out of the back of his skull, and I could hear him gurgle before he stopped. Chapter 4 concludes.

“Incredible!” Apep's palms shook with thunderous claps as he smiled viciously. "You are extremely powerful and capable of receiving my power!" What am I doing here? I asked coldly, my face expressionless. I've heard of Apep, the Egyptian god of chaos, but seeing a god is scarier than one might think. It was a miracle that I could even speak up to him, let alone keep a straight face. As I asked this query, his smile widened. "I held a tournament among my three probable candidates, and you won. You will be reincarnated in a new planet of my choosing as I observe your existence from above while giving you moral support” He replied deftly. He snapped his fingers, and a tattoo of a serpent coiling a planet appeared on the top of my left hand. "This is proof that you are under my protection, thus no deity can harm you." I examined my hand and attempted unsuccessfully to remove the tattoo. I approached the old man once more and asked, "Why are you doing this?"All of the other gods are doing it, so why shouldn't I?" he simply stood there with his hand behind his back. I was stunned; He had dragged me from my eternal repose for this Bull$&%*??
