Chapter 1 Start: “Why?..” I said whilst gasping for air. “Because you are now useless” Ela said with a grin on her face. I am Ronin and 27 years ago I created a smithing company that eventually grew into the biggest Weapon maker and manufacturer company in the world named ``The Blazing Scabbard``. I put my blood sweat and tears into making that company along with my childhood friend Ela. During this time I had confidence that I would live a great life and become happy. This thought was short lived, I was stabbed in the back by somebody I trusted. The red flags were all there but I was too naive to see them. Now I am paying the price for my ignorance. As my sight was fading into gray void I could see one color, Red. “Welcome to my domain!” A loud voice rang out in my ears as I began to sit up in a completely red room. Myself along with 2 others were looking at this being with confusion and anger. This being was a fragile looking old man with a 2 foot beard that was white, However his most shocking feature was his crimson skin that was covered in scales. “I am Apep the god of chaos and I am looking for a vessel to assist me with my plans,” he said with a slight grin. I have picked all of you because of your pasts and your thirst for revenge. Rage spread throughout my entire body as I remembered what happened in my past. “I am going to give one of you the chance of reincarnation into a world of my choosing!” His voice caused the room to violently shake and my body started to freeze. “What do we have to do?” said a man in his mid forties with blonde hair. “Fight.” retorted the old man while a chilling smile creeped up his face. In my world ‘Earth’ we had gates that every 10 days would leak thousands of monsters that would slaughter anyone in their path. Then we gained an edge, people started getting supernatural powers that would help in the ongoing battle with the monsters. Even though people started to get powers I was left in the dust, I had gained nothing, not even the slightest ability. I did receive 1 thing though and it was a transparent screen that was invisible to all others that only said “Awaiting orders”. But now it changed and said “Skill unlocked, Mineral Blade”.
