The Guild Association didn’t look anything special. It was a large hall that was split into two sections. The walls to the left were filled with Mission Boards. The missions were organized neatly into Solo Mission, Group Missions, and Guild Missions. Zayn found a bunch of low-ranked Guild Missions that attracted his attention, but he hoped he wouldn’t have to waste his time completing many Guild Missions. It would be much easier if he and Golden Age had accumulated enough reputation to level up the Guild without trouble.
‘That’s for later,’ He reminded himself shortly before turning to the right, where he found several counters. There weren’t many Adventurers and Guild Members at this time of the day, but the staff had more than enough work to complete, nonetheless.
Zayn was about to approach one of the clerks when Pablo bid him farewell.
“Come to me when you have issues. I’ll do my utmost to help you out, Sir!” The Guard Captain declared respectfully. He bowed toward Zayn and thanked him for discovering the Lesser Demons before leaving him in the Guild Association.
The Guard Captain was still on duty and had to report the Lesser Demons’ sighing. It was still unknown how the Demons managed to enter the sentient volcano. If the sentient volcano had been corrupted or bribed by the demonfolk, the Guard Captain had to find out.
Zayn wished Pablo good luck. He would need it. A moment later, Zayn turned back to the clerk, who’d noticed the Guard Captain earlier. The clerk’s eyes widened in surprise when he saw that the Guard Captain acted overly respectful to Zayn. He didn’t hear much, but that was not needed to know that the Guard Captain respected Zayn.
He straightened his back and bowed deeply toward Zayn as he walked closer.
“Hello, esteemed guest. My name is Ulvrig, and I’ll be responsible for you today. How may I be of your service?”
Zayn had to suppress a vibrant, victorious smile. He nodded toward the clerk in acknowledgment and retrieved the Golden Age’s Guildmaster token.
“Hello. I’m the Guildmaster of Golden Age and would like to relocate the headquarters to Spyro. I do not have a noble vouching for me, b–...”
“You don’t have to worry about that, Sir. There is no need for any vouching. We’re honored to relocate Golden Age’s headquarters to Spyro. I’ll register the relocation immediately!” Ulvrig declared, his eyes drawn to the Guard Captain’s pin that Zayn had attached to his clothes a few minutes ago.
Ulvrig made a few notes on a small screen. Then he grasped the Guildmaster Token, scanned it, and adjusted the information written on it.
“Level 0 Guild Golden Age’s headquarters has been registered in Spyro. Under normal circumstances, you would be given a Guild Mission Board and a Guild Sphere to check Golden Age’s status at all times, but that right will be revoked until you have claimed enough real estate to establish your Guildhall,” Ulvrig said robotically he’d said the same sentences for thousands of time already.
However, his heart was beating wildly. He would have broken a few rules to grant Zayn some benefits if he could. Maybe that would have turned his life around—for the better. Now that he couldn’t even provide the Guard Captain’s friend with a Guild Mission Board and a Guild Sphere, Ulvrig felt like he might not live to see tomorrow.

“That’s fine. It won’t be long before I establish the Guildhall,” Zayn responded lightly. He noticed how tensed Ulvrig was and smiled apologetically. Maybe he crossed the line by bringing The Guard Captain inside the Guild Association to show off how close they were.
“If you need any help with real estate, just come to me. I have connections to some really good real estate agents. Just say that I sent it to you, and they will give you a good discount as well!” Ulvrig offered the moment he sensed his opportunity, but Zayn shook his head.
“I will come back later for the Mission Board and the Guild Sphere. Just remember me.”
That said, Zayn fetched his Guildmaster Token and walked out of the Guild Association. He sighed in relief when his feet touched the ground outside the building.
‘That was easy. Very nice!’
Most cities were known for having incredible difficult staff to work with. Everything related to paperwork would be processed real slow, especially for Immortals. Registering his Guild at the Guild Association in Spyro took only a few minutes now, but it would have taken days if not for his connection to the Guard Captain. If he’d been exposed as an immortal, Xavier would have to wait a week or two to finish his business with the Guild Association.
Only then would he be able to approach some real estate agents and purchase a building. The paperwork to transfer the estate rights would also take a few days in that case. Fortunately, Zayn had a few more aces up to his sleeve. Purchasing a proper building wouldn’t be a problem for him – if nothing major changed all of a sudden.
The Merchant Guild was not far from the Guild Association. It was his second target and far more important than the Guild Association for his plans. It was a little bit problematic that he didn’t know too much about the Merchant Guild in Spyro, but he had been fortunate enough to be close to Igor Brecht.
Zayn interrogated Igor about Spyro’s Merchant Guild a while ago. He found out enough to understand the relationship between the manager of Spyro’s Merchant Guild and Igor Brecht and the attitude of the Merchant Guild. Zayn couldn’t be certain that this would be enough to execute his plan flawlessly, but it was worth a try.
The merchant guild’s massive building towered above most buildings. It shone brightly with beauty and grandness.
Besides most structures that were sculpted out of a single stone, the Merchant Guild’s building was covered with smooth, shiny stones. Fancy designs had been carved into them, depicting the image of mythical creatures and the wealth they brought to the first leader of the Merchant Guild.
The first leader of the Merchant Guild was a powerful Adventurer and an even better businessman. He killed a mythical creature and used its carcass to start a trading business. Over the years, a simple trading cycle transformed into the Merchant Guild. The first leader of the Merchant Guild took an arrow to his knee and transformed into a full-fledged businessman. After that, he used his power to aid other Adventurers, hoping his support could change the world.
Tall marble columns towered before the Merchant Guild’s entrance. Zayn praised the aesthetics of the craftsman responsible for the beautiful handwork for a few seconds before he barged into the Merchant Guild. There was no need for a silent entrance. He was hoping for some attention. Everyone should see the pin attached to his clothes.
In the Merchant Guild’s entrance hall, one could see a vast room with fancy lights dancing in the air like wisps and colorful rugs sprawled all over the floor. The room was filled with nice furniture and expensive paintings, just like one expected from a place filled with wealth.
It was a big miniature castle, demonstrating the merchant’s influence in Spyro.
Zayn took a deep breath to calm his wildly beating heart and smiled lightly as his eyes fell upon the receptionist.
“I would like to talk with the Manager. Levi Zenot is waiting for me!”
