Winding his way back to his cliff side home, Xin could not help but take note of the glass that formed the living room like an upside-down mouth. But of course, the main spot was the from door, which was below the main living room. Waiting on the main level kitchen was his mom cooking some incredible meal that made him hungry the moment he walked through the door. He never knew what she was cooking, but he was always looking forward to anything that came out of her kitchen. Tonight, it was BBQ Ox Ribs, one of Xin’s favorites, served with corn bread and long greens. He wanted to run right in the kitchen and eat a bit, but knew it was more polite to wait and get cleaned up before the meal. Once cleaned up he found his father working on a new song with Jackedup instrument, playing the coolest song Xin had ever heard. “Moms got some ribs on,” he said humbly. “What song is that,” Xin asked. “It sounds sweet.” “Oh, I'm working on it for the festival.” Mother called from the dinning room. “Super I'd ready.” Once seated they could smell the food and Xin dug right in. His Mom was asking if they were still moving forward with there hair brained plan, of trying to win the race. “Mom,” Xin complained, “we've been working on this approach for years and none of us sees us losing. Well, if you end up alive, please call me before you end up at one of those after parties. How his mom found out about the after parties, Xin will never know. The parties in question, were late night affairs that evolved into many people and girls. His main squeeze would most assuredly be there.
