You're Welcome To Fly With Me

On to my first mission as outlined by the Intergalactic Home Front or IHF for short. The planet Godorion 3 is one to many planets that have been found to have life. It took three hundred years to locate even small traces of life of frozen planets. However, after the initial discovery, we started finding teaming life on hundreds of planets. Some had advanced technology (pics similar to Earth). Some had more primitive living conditions. Alien species living in caves. Some had power that was destructive. Others could also help save all life as we know it. All special power seemed to boarder around what kind of sun you had in your solar system or more accurately, what colour the star shined on your world. This first planet deemed slightly less primitive by my less supportive colleagues, seemed to me, to be quiet intriguing when I looked at the general advancement coupled with the machines that made transportation, war fair and ease of living more manageable. Sure, they could not get off their planet…but if you asked one of them, what planet would be better than what was right in front of them. In ancient times the Gwandinocks squabbled in endless fighting that almost caused the end to there race. Some factions broke off to form three continents that still exist to this day. Generally referred to as Gwandonian’s, the three factions engaged in what primitive earth would now look at as sport driving all manner of vehicles. The Parnocks, thought of as the leaders of the free world, are a humanoid life form but much larger in size. Using technology, will power and amazing physical capabilities to win tournaments. These tournaments were known to have large stakes which challenged the other two groups that lived primarily on two neighboring continents.  to gain a foot hold on a secure area in ancient times.  In more recent times, victory reworded the winner with artefacts, which could be used for further gains great effect. The second, Dragnocks, like Dwarves, were the technology builders which formed the foundation of the work. Originally used for farming, water supply and harnessing energy, the machines created a balance for work and play. The third people located in the north were often known as the Hooded Ones. Elvnocks who some called the dark elves where very private and rarely let anyone out side their race enter their lands. The peoples up North were even more private. They are also the least known about. At first, they were called scholars and clerics but later referred to as light benders. Able to reconstitute the light of energy from crystals to power large or small machines. The best among them contributed to sweeps of victories among competitors who trusted their power to the crystals…However they also believed they were just scratching the surface…And that boys and girls, is where our story begins.

Day Before The Race

In the middle of Gwandinock, situated under a mountain and 30-cubit miles from Selular, the capital city of Gwandocks largest continent, sat three friends arguing over whose idea it was to implement techmagic in the upcoming race. By earth standards, these men were very old at 75, but look like 20-year-old males as most adults were almost 150. Jurvan of the Light Benders was shaking his head. Jurvan was originally from the dark elf lands but came here with his father for a new start after his mother wanted to travel the world and promised to come back. Xinshar of one of the highest houses, as humanoids chose deeds and consistency as a means of higher social standing as opposed to name alone.  Xin was saying, listen, I have no doubt we will blow the doors off the red team. Peerdrid, of royal decent which is a funny story because his father didn’t believe in titles to create your wealth, he believed in hard work and sacrifice, which most young men would deject. He also moved from the high mountain valleys called the Granit Open because the valley opened between two massive granite mountain ranges. His people were short and stocky with some beards and made a fortune on developing drilled tech that could be used remotely. Peer was pointing out, “My machines are made to activate kid’s imaginations, not gain artifacts for quenching your greedy appetite. Jurvan spoke for the first time. Look Peer, I have no problem combining my magic and crystals with your clunker, just as long as I get my piece of the artifact. “That’s just it,” Peer was sharing. “My mechwaller was not designed for mods or reconstitution, it was designed for transport and souring. Can it endure the Kwantire?” Kwantire was the name of crystal Peer’s people, the Granite People found on mass two years ago on expedition. “Well really, I have no idea,” Peer added,” I have never tried”. Xinshar broke in, “Brothers, our dads were the first ones to meld machine and Kwantire together to orchestrate fantastic weapons and flying trains. Now I know they all blew up after the war but we saw the blue prints and with our new encapsulating nest”. The nest, as the boys called it was lost relic from a long-forgotten war, but still possessed the ground work to meld crystal to tech. “I would stake my life on it working”, said Xin. “You might have to” …Peer grumbled. Jurvan ignored him. “Xin, you got this! We’ll set up the Mechwaller, and you trounce the RED TEAM. OK…goo blue, yes that means you Peer, blue Team! Getting ready for the race!” Peer looked pissed but did not utter a word.
