CHAPTER 1 - BEING REINCARNATED
Bradley took a deep breath as he got into his car for the semi-final race for Banzai Bangers. He had just been released from the hospital after being caught up in a serious accident. He couldn’t shake the feeling that this race was going to end with him back in the hospital or worse.
Bradley had a terrible track record with his racing career in Banzai Bangers. Every race ended up with him crashing out or not finishing. Most people in his shoes would have called it quits after the first year. Bradley was determined to prove everyone wrong by always returning after getting caught up in some horrible crash.
This year had been the most brutal for him. The wrecks he ended up in were some of the worst he had ever been in. Even with the risk of death he continued. He wanted to complete his first goal of finishing a race.
Bradley started his car as he pulled up to the starting line to wait for the countdown. He was a nervous wreck as he sat in last place. A voice suddenly popped up on his radio headset inside of his helmet as he waited.
“Don’t worry yourself Bradley.” Said his crew chief who was trying to encourage him. His crew chief had been with him from the very start of his career.
Bradley watched as the starting signal was given. With the signal to go. All the drivers floored it kicking up tire smoke as they went. Some drivers quickly rammed into each other right at the start. Bradley kept back with his pace a bit knowing he most likely would be someone’s sacrificial lamb.
He had a few mishaps and collisions as the race continued for an hour. A few cars were already crashed and wrecked out of the race. He had been patient, letting others by him even as he was multiple laps down. He just wanted to finish the race for once in his life.
Things unfortunately came to head for Bradley when a fight between the leaders ended up causing a unexpected and freak crash in front of him. He had no time to react as his car plowed into a bunch of wrecked cars. Two cars had been engulfed in flames as he slid into the crash. His car ended up getting pinned under beneath as another car slid in behind him. He was now trapped with no way to get out.
The flames were far from him, but the smoke that was pouring from the flames was choking him. He tried desperately in vain for several minutes trying to drive free. His crew chief was on the radio trying to tell him to hang in there.
Unfortunately, the rules for Banzai Bangers wouldn’t throw a yellow even if a driver was trapped. The only conditions for such an event were if a car flew up into the empty bottom stands or the end of the race.

Bradley was soon losing consciousness due to the smoke. As time ticked by his chances of survival dwindled until finally, he succumbed to the fumes…
—--------
Bradley found himself in a dark endless void. I thought the afterlife was supposed to be brighter. Everything is so dark here. Bradley thought. He felt sad and miserable in the void.
I knew I should have quit when I had the chance to. I had already made enough money from the sport that I could have retired happily, but no I wanted to prove everyone that I could finish a race.
Bradley broke down into tears thinking of how he had just wasted his life. He would never get to pursue his other interest of collecting and using figurines in a VR game.
He had a passion for the game Figurine Fighters. He had collected every figurine in the game up to tge current patch. The sad reality was he was more interested in trying to finish just one race before he would play with his collection.
He rarely got the chance to since he always was recovering from some sort of injury from Banzai Bangers. His body was scared and broken all over from the sport. He was able to continue with all the sponsor money he would get from racing. He might not have been the most successful driver, but his accidents and crashes he lived through made him a fan favorite to see get torn up.
Bradley tried to stop the tears when he heard a voice.
“Life can be very unforgiving for the unlucky.”
He stopped to look around for the source of the voice to see no one.
This must be my afterlife punishment if I'm hearing things now.
“You are not hearing things Bradley. I watched you die and wanted to give you a second chance at your life. You are a determined one I can tell. Trying to prove everyone wrong again and again. You were sadly just born with terrible luck when it came to your racing choices. Your odds of finishing a race were a billion-to-one and counting,”
Bradley still couldn't see who was talking as they continued.
“I am willing to reincarnate you into a world that would perfectly suit you. It has racing and the figurine fighters you have collected are real companions to run dungeons with you.”
Bradley stopped crying to take in the words. He asked a few other questions to the unknown voice. Like if he could have his figurines he collected be with him. The voice agreed to it. Although it warned him. It would make him more of a target if he were to use them. Having that many in a collection was risky. Only the best of players had that many. He would be able to access his figurines in his own pocket dimension inventory.
Undetermined not to let the opportunity slip by he asked to be reincarnated without any of his bodily injures had gained over the years as well. The voice agreed on this as well.
He also asked who they were and what they wanted before he completely went in on the deal. He was just told there name wasn’t important, but they pitied those with resolve only to meet a bad ending.
With no other question Bradley was ready. His vision shifted out of the void into a new world…
