I had just recently gotten my ability. It was...about a month ago. I still remember it like it was yesterday, though. I suppose it is true that everyone remembers the day that their ability manifests. I do and I know I forever will.

Hopefully my ability does me good rather than anything else. At least I know I am my family's daughter. Not that I ever doubted it, I look exactly like my parents.

A person's ability is unique, at least to their bloodline with variations of the limits. For example if the child's parents have an ability to do with music and the other had something to do sculpting than the child should have an ability relating to one of them and their limitations to their ability related to the other one. The child in this case could have the ability to sculpt anything they see(from the parent with the sculpting ability) but only within a certain distance from that object(from the other parent's limitation type/range). And can only awaken them after a certain event happens to them that will change the course of their lives. At least that's what I'm told.
