Looking out at the town after a hard day’s work running errands and working in the smithery is quite...something I suppose. How long has it been since that night? 4 years…I suppose I should be about 15 years old now, then.
Darn orphanage didn’t even have the decency to tell me what season I was born in. But, I have a feeling it was…Winter. I vaguely remember snowflakes falling down whenever I got the once-in-a-year loaf of sweetened bread. Sigh, well at least everyone’s out, free….I hope.
“Zain! There you are. I was looking all over for you! Come I have a new creation, I want you to try!” calls out a older lady behind me.
I turn back and see Miss Adler. She was the lady that brought me to this town. She sometimes takes care of me and feeds me her creations. Right, Miss Adler is the town’s baker and likes to make new pastries. I turn to her and nod my head. I'm not much of what you would call a talker. She smiles and then pulls me to her bakery.

The bakery is simple and also gives a comfortable feeling. I walk in after her and take a seat in the corner near a window, where I can see others but they can't see me. After a couple of minutes, Miss Adler comes out with a…pastry of some sort. She sets it down and I go to take a bit-

BANG
I turned my head a bit and see,....a fight breaks out again. Miss Adler goes out to mediate the fight. I stay where I am. There’s no point in messin’ with others. It isn’t any of my business, anyway. Better to lay low, especially during these times.
“Please, let’s settle down an-” Miss Adler
