This planet is 55 times the mass of Earth and two times bigger than Earth, with a radius of 12,742.14 km and a total surface area of 2,040,302,721.68 square kilometers. For comparison, Earth has a radius of 6,371 km and a surface area of 510.1 million km², while this one is 2.04 billion km².
With the Great Divider mountain range running down its axis, it has divided the planet into two sides, now known as the old-Day and old-Night sides. The old-Day side has a total surface area of 1,020,455,316.87 km², or 1.02 billion km², while the old-Night side has a total surface area of 1,019,847,404.81 km² or 1.019 billion km².
The old-night side is more substantial than the old-day side. Though this difference might seem small, it is massive. For scaling, just one side of the planet is significantly larger than the surface area of Earth.
Isn't this a magnificent planet?
Comparatively to Earth, 71% of the total surface of the planet is water, and the remaining 29% is land. The surface area of water areas is 1,448,614,932.39 km², or 1.448 billion km², with the remaining 591,687,789.287 km², or 591 million km² being land.
The total water area is bigger than Earth's surface area. Even land that takes up only 29% of the planet's surface area is still larger than Earth.
The total water area on the old-Day side of the planet is 719 million km², with the total land area being 301 million km². The total water area on the old-night side of the planet is 729 million km², with the total land area being 290 million km². The old-Night side has more water area, but the old-day side has more land. Yet, the total water area on the old-night side is more than the surface area of Earth.
This planet has a lot of water and an abundance of magnificent ocean life. But we aren't going to look at ocean life today, but at life on land. There are five continents on this planet. 2 on the old-Day side and the other 3 on the old-Night side.
The continent sizes, from smallest to biggest, are the three continents on the old-Night side, 90 million km², 97 million km², 103 million km², and the two continents on the old-Day side, 140 million km² and 161 million km².
On the largest continent on the old-Night side, which is also the third largest continent in the world, is where the second biggest forest in the world is located. It is home to the world's greatest population of herbivore animals, with few carnivores and omnivores. It is also facing an overpopulation crisis.
This temperate coniferous forest is a large, low plant diversity forest. It is heavily dominated by only four types of coniferous trees, with the average tree height of the trees being over 40m high. It has a distinct canopy of tall trees and an understory of trees. The conifers that mainly make up these forests are evergreen trees, redwoods, pines, and cycadophytes.
This forest is known as the 'forest of death' to all carnivore animals. When a carnivore is discovered in this forest, all the herbivores will attack it relentlessly and even lay down their lives to kill it. Because of this, carnivores are quickly going extinct.
Here, meat-eaters animals need to be smart. They evolve to know when to attack other animals to eat. Even though they are a top predator, they are not safe from the herd of herbivores that will attack them.
In this forest, herbivores live openly and freely. They don't have to fear getting eaten by carnivores and have all the food in the world to pick from, just like this Chinshakiangosaurus. In the past, walking around the forest would have been dangerous because of the Allosaurus, but now those dinosaurs are almost extinct.
Let's follow this Chinshakiangosaurus for a while.
This large, quadrupedal herbivore with a long neck and tail glanced at the plants around it and let out a grunt. These plants around it were plants it didn't like eating. 'I need to leave this area filled with terrible food.' It probably thought. Like a naughty child, it ignored all the food around it and kept walking, venturing further from the group it had left long ago.
What does it have to fear? Predators? It needed to find tasty food. I mean, there is a large variety of food, so why not eat the finest?
It continued moving through the forest, keeping its head close to the ground and paying attention to the undergrowth. Once in a while, it will notice grass or flowers it likes. When this happens, it will open its wide mouth, ripping them from its roots and swallowing them whole. Sometimes it also saw conifers on the ground, which it immediately ate with no complaint.

Bang! A loud sound suddenly rang out, like a gunshot. This caused the Chinshakiangosaurus to raise its head in shock just to see a massive shadow rushing towards it like an arrow. Its primal instinct kicked, and it took off running in the opposite direction of this shadow.
It didn't even see the entire appearance of this thing, but it was filled with crippling fear. It didn't even feel fear when it was eating grass with its friend while watching a Giganotosaurus being mutilated by multiple Stegosaurus.
Adrenalin rushed through its body as it pushed itself to run the fastest it could. Despite its size, it ran very fast, around 40 km/h. It was getting tired, so it looked behind it to see if the creature it had encountered was following it.
The creature was!
The large undergrowth of shrubs and other plants that grew to be more than 2.5 meters tall parted, giving way to whatever was moving through them. And the thing was moving fast. It wasn't as fast as the Chinshakiangosaurus, but it wasn't letting down or seeming to be slowing down from exhaustion.
But, the Chinshakiangosaurus was exhausted and slowing down.
A shiver ran through the Chinshakiangosaurus' spine as it opened its mouth and let out a loud cry. 'A carnivore!' It screamed in its mind. These animals were rare but not extinct. Once in a while, a few unlucky herbivores are found dead, eaten by a carnivore. 'Why am I so unlucky?'
While it ran, it let out another cry to call for help to kill the creature chasing it. Suddenly, there was another large bang, and from the side of its eyes, the dinosaur noticed a wide open snake mouth, around eight wide, shooting out from a huge group of shrubs like an arrow, heading for its neck.
The inside of the mouth was filled with rows of sharp teeth, four long and sharp canine teeth among them. There was also a large forked tongue resting at the bottom of its mouth.
Dread washed over the Chinshakiangosaurus's body as its mouth clenched down on its long neck, the sharp teeth easily piercing through its flesh and drawing blood. The weight of this beast pushed the running dinosaur to the ground, causing a loud boom to ring out and the earth to shake.
The beast held on to the neck of the Chinshakiangosaurus with its sharp teeth and strong jaw, pulling its long body onto the dinosaur's body. The massive snake then wrapped its body around the dinosaur's body, forming a constriction coil.
The Chinshakiangosaurus let out multiple loud cries while struggling to escape the hold of the massive snake. It tried to stand, but the weight and the way the snake wrapped itself around it stopped it from doing so.
'How did it get so close to me?' It thought, feeling the snake's coil tighten the more it struggled. Even with this, the dinosaur was confident of escaping. The snake's teeth are sharp but aren't long enough to damage anything in its neck. The snake isn't even strong enough to crush it in a coil. All it is doing is preventing it from moving.
'I will survive.' It was confident. No, it knew it would survive after the other animal came to kill this stupid carnivore snake, so it let out another loud cry.
Just then, it heard rustling coming from the undergrowth beside it. Joy washed through its body as it relaxed, but what came from the grass caused it more dread than it felt when it was bitten.
Slithering from the grass was a massive snake more than 4 feet wide, with large, emerald-like green scales arranged neatly in rows along the length of its entire body. Its green scales have dark oval spots along its spines and similar spots with yellow centers along its sides.
This massive anaconda started lifting its head, raising its head to tower more than 15 meters above the dinosaur on the ground. It exposed its yellow and black underside, casting a long shadow over the dinosaurs, and staring down with its cold, silted eyes.
'There were two...' The Chinshakiangosaurus thought, noticing the giant snake coiled around it looked similar to the one in front of it.
While it was being chased by the giant anaconda in front of it, the one currently coiled around it was waiting in a bush and struck an ambush attack when the dinosaur got close to it.
The giant snake flickered its forked tongue and suddenly dropped, its long body falling towards the dinosaur's head. Noticing this massive body falling towards its head, the Chinshakiangosaurus tried to move its head out of the way, but the snake coiled around it kept it from moving.
Everything turned dark as the snake's heavy body crashed into Chinshakiangosaurus' head, crushing it. The giant snake coiled around the dinosaur and waited, tracking the herbivore's heartbeat before finally loosening its coil after it was certain the dinosaur was dead.
The snake that had fallen onto the dinosaur's head moved out of the way, reviling the dinosaur's head, which was crumpled like watermelons on the ground. Without waiting, they both coiled their tails around the dinosaur and started moving forward, side by side, dragging the massive beast, which weighs more than 1000 pounds, with them.
They moved through the forest, traveling down the path they normally take, a path devoid of life, soon reaching a massive cave entrance. They both entered the cave, dragging the dinosaur with them. Bones of animals littered the ground, which got more as they crawled deeper into the cave until the floor couldn't be seen anymore.
They soon reached their destination, adding the Chinshakiangosaurus to a pile of other dead animals. These piles contained more than 15 animals, most of which were large animals. An example of animals in this pile was an Auroch and Gargoyleosaurus. There is even a Paraceratherium and a four-legged Snaib'hemahl.
They both slithered around the pile of food, inspecting it. After a while, they stopped beside each other, looking down at the mass of food. They both knew this pile was enough for them, so they started eating.
Yep. These two were the Giga-Snakes I created to be the population controller of the old-night side. It has been 28 years since their creation, and they are doing their job well. The forest population is still growing toward overpopulation, but as they grow, they gain more appetite and eat more.
You might have noticed their high intelligence. That is something I made unique for the first two Giga snakes. This is because if they were too dumb, they wouldn't survive to reach adulthood, so I gave them enough intelligence to have corporations and form societies.
They know how to do simple planning for hunting and when to hunt so as not to be jumped. Like the Chinshakiangosaurus they just killed. They followed the herbivore for more than ten minutes, waiting for the most advantageous chance to ambush.
And yes, I made them extremely proficient at camouflaging and moving without making much noise despite having big bodies. Their children would be a bit dumber than them but not stupid enough to get themselves killed.
The Giga centipedes of the old day side possessed similar intelligence to Giga snakes, but not the camouflage. But they are adept diggers. Faster than any other animal on the planet. I also made it so that they cover up the hole they dig. I don't want holes all over the surface of my planet.
They are both doing a good job as janitors of this planet, but what about the custodians? The ones who have responsibility for looking after the planet. How are the dragons doing?
Let's head over and meet one of our lovely dragons.
