Ok so I did my sneaking around and found out that a paladin has been captured by… are you ready for it. The church!. His crimes you ask? Attacking and noble family calling then the slaves of the false belief. I’ve got little clue what that actually means but in the novel a lot of the cults say it had something to do with me... funny how that works.
It sounds like it has a lot to do with Red but it is used in moments of retribution by cult members. So after a while the church started calling the followers of that belief, slaves of the false belief. It actually an odd thing because now murdering any idea that is separated from the traditional moral values is ‘liberating’ in them and invasion to others.
It's hard to find in the empire but the tribes to the northeast are where it comes from and it still has a strong presence. It will also become bigger during one Arc of the novel. When that person becomes more of a thing.
The tribes have taken to calling the church the enforcers of truth. From what I can tell they believe that there's glory in death and battle and the church who attempts to enforce their will through battle are in fact just giving the tribes a glory they seek.
Well the church will attempt to purge this saying in the next crusade when they realise that the tribes people are using the war between the two beliefs as a means of teaching their principles and invigorating their followers.
The tribes see war as a means to purge weakness from themselves and are strangle big on self growth through physical growth of the body.
I don’t know how they got their or understand it in the slightest to be honest.
Well I say all this but it easy to think warrior barbarians equals glory seekers to the extreme. Honestly the more I think about them the more I realise that they seem to be stronger than anybody else in the world and yet they don’t do shit in the novel.
I mean each tribe has a king class and there's probably thousands. That's just fucking stupid and everybody knows it. Although I have doubts about the actual strength of the tribes because the church hasn’t been absolutely destroyed yet.
And at the same time I realise that the hero in the novel never touched them accept once. Even when the crusade was occuring the hero was searching for ancient artifacts of power call soul stones. It’s something novel me didn’t even think of the hero using. Why? Because I made them to be fancy phones not weapons of mass destruction.
Fucking weirdos the hero and his entire party.
Most most of the villains in the are somehow related to someone from somewhere that connects to the hero’s party and yet not a single person is related to the tribes in any way. Actually know that I think of it the hero’s party was oddly selective of its members.
Still the tribes believed that they return to being one with the universe when they die. Actually they think that happens when they do nothing. It's an odd belief that if they can do nothing they will rise to higher state of being where we become one with all things and all we have to do is do nothing. Well it's not that simply. The tribe people have two words for nothing. The act of trying to do nothing is an act of trying to do something which is doing something. See despite how it sounds on the surface it's still kind of deep but mainly it’s not logical how are they supposed to do nothing while doing something? Well I guess higher beings can do thinks like that.
I can’t.
Well that's where the glory death comes in. You can’t seek that death you can only find it and one of the places where it is found is on the battlefield.
Oh and i’m probably the god they worship… Unless there was another evil dragon that came around when I was out.
Anyway back to our paladin friend and his buddys.
The believe resentment is a curse of sorts that god place on the people when they attempted to rebell… So mistur paladin over here saw the nobility class of people as soldiers of me because they lead people to being resentful of well themselves. I think mister paladin is actually just completely mad and insane in every sense of the word.
Our new paladin friend going to be executed in a month. Isn’t this great a nobody paladin with a history of attacking nobles. So what if he’s trapped in some dungeon owned by the church. He's in the perfect position of not being missed.
Ok the fact that his body is about to disappear from the dungeon might be a warning sign but they will forgot about it in time. Best of all he's a well known drunk and a veteran of a event which has been dubbed the 7 holy crusades.
You might be reading a pirated copy. Look for the official release to support the author.
The eighth and ninth will occur during the novel later so it's not like that name will stick. The ninth was against me. The church will give another crack at attempting to assault the land of the tribes. It goes bad as all their crusades have done so in the past. Ok not all the crusades have gone bad but most have. After they have failure at attacking the human and elf clans forty years ago and so they will add giant clans to the mix.
The church is strong but it's not every where or as united as people think. In the novel the hero will help the church gain a more unified direction but in doing so the church's strength will be small enough that the empire will attempt to remove it.
My sister uses this as justification at attempts to overthrow the empire’s emperor. We fall into the empire civil war arc. Surprising enough the hero and my sister work together at the start.
Although it's not so much that she cares about the church but that her rebellion will be revealed by brother before hand so she will have no choice but to use it as justification . My brother well he will go to confront her about it. bla bla bla brother will attack sister and in her desperation she will attempt to quickly improve military ability. At this time the young master of the Rupin family will have began to make his move choosing gain the support of the rest of the noble families promising a republic. The crown prince will attempt to keep the crowns power and I will make our south eastern mountains independent after sister dies cutting the empire into three different counties.
This will continue until a pack between three nations will be formed and bla bla bla i’m not really mentioned until the hero confronts me at the ‘gathering of sovereignty’ an event that happens later. Hero then spends the rest of the novel preparing to invade my country but getting the support of the church, The new republic, and the empire remains. The hero will also get the elves of the other continent. Honestly the hero didn’t do shit on the other continent.
But at the same time he will leave to acquire the holy sword. Their are a few pieces he needs to get and before confronting me he got a lot of them. Well that puts him in between the elf dragon war that will start on the second continent. The reason for that war the dragon king wanted one final bang before old age gets him. Well it pretty much the dragon king obliterating the elven nation before destroying himself. Well due to that a dragon class elf will join the hero’s party and we will enter the second last arc.
Then there's the arc where he get the final piece of the holy sword. Its at the location of the final piece that stage two lives and is a good build up of my character and where my true identity is revealed to the reader.
Well during the empire civil war arc my older brother joins the hero’s party. Well sister dies soon after and the war goes on for a long time with me holding whatever was left of her fraction playing defensive.
As you would expect I abandon the church as soon as possible. Well later thanks to the priestess in the hero party the church will come back. Fucking screaming bitch of a god her church is like a cockroach farm. It also one of my novel me faults. I never expected the world to take note of me until Red was resurrected and underestimated it when it did. Well i’m not one to make the same mistake twice and there's a problem with me relying to much on the novel.
Actually theirs two.
First now that i’ve interfered with the story by killing please it not going to be the same.
Second the hero never see even ⅔ of the world before we confront each other in fact the majority of the second continent isn’t described and is completely unknown to me other than the dragon king and his harem lives their
And fuck if that helps me in any way. It's the same as finding a map that says ‘their be dragons when I wanted to know the country's name. Fuck is it a hot place. Is it a cold place.
It still baffles me how hero is able to get the so many world power it assault my secret mountain base. Most of the negotiations happen off screen so to speak.
But I had good reason to dismiss the church. In fact according to the novel it was only the second most worshiped religion until a hundred years ago.
Even then it’s probably more accurate to say that the church of god is only ⅓ of the continent and has even less of a grip on the other continent. It's simple. Only two thirds of this continent are currently controlled by humans. Also ¼ of this continent is the land of the empire.
But in truth the empire is stuck between a rock and a hard place. To continue conquering human nations they will need to go through a place call Dragons keep. It's a country ruled by a dragon. Thats to the south. To the west is the sea between the two continents.
My Ravan territory how most of the northern point of the empire and I will be honest even if there were no dragons south the empire would be unable to make it across the mountain range back their because in between their is a valley where it would be difficult for someone at the level of king to make it across.
And to the east elves. Lots and lots of fucking elves. And unlike most fantasy novel elves are pretty evil. Then to the north east giants and nomadic tribes. Some of these tribes are human other elves and some giants. It's also the only place in the world where dark elves exist. On an off hand note dark elves worship the dark dragon I will leave the small details to your imagination but mainly because I don’t want to explain.
But to be honest these tribes are mostly the strongest world power while not being a world power. It's also has a lack of anything. It's known as the holy land of strength. And well it's a nightmare of a place. It also home to the land I need to go to for stage two.
In the novel the hero does not spend much time their. But it's also the place where I will find stage two. And on the way back I could collect the second person I want. But now it’s paladin stealing time.
Hmm now that I think about it the hero doesn’t really leave the ridge much except during the empire civil war and when he is sent to the other continent by accident when he was playing around with teleportation devices…
Hmm I got really sidetracked it’s like I felt the need to add expositional knowledge for events that are about to happen soon and felt now was the time to do it. <—— NOT A HINT.
