Chapter 8: Back to Earth
"Impossible!" O'rmon exclaimed, the entire ship could hear her voice. "Did she give birth and left him?" She continued in a lower voice.
"We don't know the details, one thing is for sure she doesn't want to return or to be found either. That is why she kept her distance from Safo, so he'd not be able to open his soul and gain more power and attention which would make him hard to find." Kutch also tried to lower his voice, to keep Safo out of a new wave of stress because his mother abandoned him right after birth.
O'rmon joined the Hooded dude.
Back in the kitchen, Safo Nur sat with a blank mind, having many questions and no answers made his head spin around. "Does it makes me a complete stranger to my parents? Although my body is that my mother gave birth to, my identity is alien to them, I'm a parasite who lives off her real child. What happened to the soul that was in a newborn when I usurped it, did I kill him?"
At first, there was thought, he could introduce aliens to humanity. Bring aliens home to give them some human food and teach human culture. But now he didn't know if he could keep his head straight in front of his parents. He basically, stole their child's body. Even if they will not know this fact ever in their lives, Safo will feel guilty for the rest of his life. Now he wished Kutch never told him about Princess Tala and newborn Piora souls.
The light of hope in his clouded mind was that he could gain some awesome ability and may become a superhero on Earth. Safo Nur knew that he could never reverse the damage that he caused, but at least if he works his ass off he could save some lives in the future. He dreamt about being recognized by humanity and how he would be able to join or even rule over them one day. He could bring new technologies and make humanity a great race in the galaxy. If he gets powers like Superman he could find a way to earn some big money to support his parents and future family of his own.
"I cannot redo or not be born, but I will make my parents proud of me." Safo Nur felt a little better, he always was that way. It is always better to solve the issue than be down about it.
With those big plans in his mind, and newly gained motivation he went to meet Kutch to ask if two civilizations could work together to get better results in the future. To his surprise, Kutch was heading to him and they met in the hallway.
"Oh, nice, I hope you feel better, we almost located something. But before we go, let us check on something. Come with me." Kutch didn't give a chance to Safo Nur to introduce his great plan concerning humans and psiora. He just led Safo Nur to the caged room.
In the caged room, Safo had some flashbacks about a time that he spent in the cage and all the terrifying feeling that he experienced in the medical room. Now, after knowing Kutch - three meters tall mighty green lion, he could not imagine winning against him in real life or death fight. He was glad that they initially didn't plan to hurt anybody.
"I'll turn this arc on again, but this time we will determine a different thing. When You go through it, it will give us a hint on a type of your future resource." Kutch sounded enthusiastic about what he was talking about, he was secretly hoping Safo to get a strong fighting ability to bring back glory to Psiora civilization. Life has been very difficult on New Tenga lately.
He then explained to Safo how the strange arc worked. It had two functions, identification of psiora souls inside of the body and gauging what type of ability they had. There were four types of abilities: Physical Enhancement, Powers of Nature, Mind Abilities, and Ego Epitome. These were just general types of abilities, where in reality actual cases were way more complicated. Some abilities could be a mix of two types, while others were so unique that it made it very difficult to determine which type to put them.
Kutch explained each one of them to Safo for better understanding. Physical Enhancement was simplest of all it meant what it said, the ability to enhance one's body. Extraordinary speed, strength, ability to extend brain capabilities, different types of transformation, and skin variations: poisoned skin, hard as rock skin, liquidish, etc.
O'rmon had Physical Enhancement type ability, she could be fast as sound and even more under some pressure and extreme situations.
Powers of Nature included abilities to bend manifestations of nature and its laws, such as water, earth, fire, and even up to space and time. Safo Nur hoped to get one of those, he secretly dreamed to become a bender or even an Avatar with an arrow on his bald head.
Mind Abilities were rare, reading and controlling one's mind and actions, sensing abilities also counted in. Kutch Woods's telekinesis was in this category, he could control his weapons with his mind. Kutch's telekinesis didn't work on anything else and ended almost immediately after somebody else except him touched his weapon. Pierced flesh for some reason didn't count, so his throwing knives wasn't just one-time use only things, He could cut the foe and return his knife to cut a second time or even move it inside the body.
Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
As for Ego Epitome, it was the rarest of all types and Kutch never encountered psiora with this type of abilities, so he couldn't refer to anything. He only mentioned that it was up to one's personality to have strong or weak powers.
With all things been said, Kutch turned on the arc for Safo, and he did what he was instructed to. Results however made Kutch confused. "Guys can you come over real quick and tell me what this means, the arc went crazy," Kutch yelled asking for assistance from O'rmon and the Hooded dude.
When they finally came, Safo Nur went through the arc one more time causing the same reaction. The top of the arc was divided into four colors: Green for Physical Enhancement, Yellow - for Powers of Nature, Blue - for Mind Abilities, and Red - for Ego Epitome. And every time Safo Nur went through the arc, an arrow was jumping between yellow, blue, and red back and forth.
"Simple, It is broken. We made it from scrap metal that could be found on the ship, so of course, we might mess up something. Let's go, we managed to find Princesses shuttle. When we find her we will know what is his resource anyway, now we can't afford to spend more time here."
O'rmon looked at Safo Nur with doubt, if she assembled the device wrong it could mean defining him to be a Psiora could be an error. But it wasn't time to start over at that point. She wanted to find Princess Tala and show her Safo, if he is her son he will gain his resources right away.
So everybody went to the teleport station, the Hooded dude stood there looking at the arc's top for a while and quickly joined the others.

Down on Earth, Uzbekistan, every police station received an order to locate recently kidnapped individuals. After disappearing for more than two days people came back claiming to be captured by a monster beast which looked as if it came right out from Beauty and the Beast. The strange thing about the incident was that people were not connected in any possible way. More than 80 randomly chosen victims have already called the police for help.

Somewhere in the middle of the tropical islands, a multi-million mansion stood occupying a third of the paradise island. "King" was the name of the wide yacht moored next to green island. Inside the mansion on the enormous bed lay a tall, good-looking, muscular man. He was completely naked covering only his manly parts with a white silk blanket. The phone was ringing restlessly next to him until he finally picked it up.
"Sir, Code 16, all over Uzbekistan." The voice from the phone said hastily.
"Identify them first, initiate Protocol 2. And gather others." The man commanded and hung up. "Who is it this time, I wonder. I hope it will be someone strong so I can fight with pleasure?"
-----
Khwarezm, Uzbekistan. Yangiariq village, a quiet and peaceful place, where folk mostly own vast rice fields. Being located in the middle of the desert this oasis city was surrounded by orange-gold sand. Safo's father spent his childhood in that village, it was the place where Safo Nur was born. When he was at the age of 3 his family moved to the capital.
In front of a small but crowded house, where 9 people lived under one roof. Two families of older and younger brothers and their old parents.
The older brother inherited his father's fields and responsibilities. Every day from dawn to dusk he and his wife accompanied by his both parents worked on the flooded fields to make the harvest rich. Hard work was in their blood and bones from their ancestors. So will his children when they will grow enough to be helpful on the fields. For now, they were at home with the younger brother's wife.
Younger brother, however, was a bit lazier and sought a better and easier life. He hated his childhood memories of a full day job in dirty water and mud. He always wished to play with other kids but he had to help his parents to keep the family well-fed. To break the cycle for his children, he had a son and daughter, he left home. He blindly joined a team of like-minded people from his village. They gathered funds together and went to work in Moscow. It was common practice in Uzbekistan villages, many young men and women went seeking better payroll. Jobs in Moscow were never fancy. Janitor, food delivery on the bicycles, construction worker, etc. Still, it was a better-paid job than any available ones in their country. Due to the constant and never-ending work on the fields, kids rarely got a proper education.
He left behind his young wife and two kids in his parent's house. By the age of 21, he already had a 3 years old son and 2 years old daughter. He married at 16, it was normal practice in the villages.
Morning routine for his wife in this household included making breakfast before dawn for grown-ups, for everybody except her left the house heading towards the fields. Fortunately, four children were about to spend their day playing around or with other kids in the village while she would clean the house and make dinner.
The young girl was sweeping the front porch when out of nowhere a strong bright light flashed in front of her. A light seemed to be like the sun itself, her eyes itched even if she closed them. It happened so suddenly and fast like a bomb explosion about 10 meters from her. From the shock, she fell back and closed her face with her hands. When the light disappeared in the same way it appeared, with no sound effects and fast as it was a light from an electric bulb, she gathered her courage and finally looked at the source of the light. She saw 4 figures standing in front of her.
"Wow, so cool. My first teleportation. Please note that I didn't throw up." Safo Nur was happily proud of himself. He was the first, conscious, human who traveled from open space back to Earth using teleportation.
