Chapter 67: Special mission.
Following night Safo and Luna went to the cave with bouncy rocks again. Achraf refused to go and went to increase his fighting skills and gain some EXP in the process. The whole night they struggled against the rubbery black rocks.
The next day they had nothing important to do so Safo continued his hard work of getting his as* whooped by small rocks in the dark cave. Safo kept training the following night too.
By the end, he was able to perform a perfect dodge from every rock in that cave. And finally went further to find Alpha Jumpy Rock and managed to slay it with small difficulty. After it, Safo reached level 8 and needed only a Mental orb to gather the set.
Happy by himself he sent a text message to Miloud that he finished the task and asked for more. Safo’s legs were healed and his bones were even stronger than before, thanks to the disgusting but effective liquid. He was about to complete his first course of Immortality Path. Which made his body almost hundred percent tougher than one of a regular human.
Every morning he admired himself in the mirror, his muscular body was close to an experienced athlete's body. His strength indicators showed great improvement. He was happy with Halazar’s gift. Now his body had the same potential as Kutch, O’rmon, Yon, Kardon, and many other strong people that could easily win him in any competition before.
Safo just needed to keep on his training and gym sessions. Kutch and Yon told him that it will be almost impossible to find a second course of the Immortality Path.
It was a tattoo on the skin. A complicated process of finding a matching tattoo that would be in tune with a body and could boost it to improve to the next level. Few Exceptional masters knew the secrets of the second-course tattoo.
No one, even Halazar didn’t have any information about the third and final, fourth course.
O’rmon brightened a bit, she was happy that she was a part of the team again. It was obvious, despite her attempts to hide her true emotions.
Dost came back from an old rat’s breeding farm. He did all the hard work there. Safo called him before sailing off, he was an irreplaceable part of the team too. Kutch snorted at him but didn’t say anything bad as he usually did.
Achraf joined the crew team working along with engineers. He was also happy to contribute to the team. Captain Seaghoul didn’t yell at him too much, Achraf knew his job and was good at it.
Twenty-one people took off from the surface of the Psiora planet and flew away towards the Green planet.
With a warping device being on the ship, it took seconds to reach the Green planet. It was a popular place so the Empire built a teleportation Track next to the planet.
“Warping completed successfully!” Captain Seaghoul congratulated his team for teleporting a huge ship so accurately from the first try. He felt proud that he yelled at them all the time.
Safo came to a deck and almost lost his jaw. A panoramic window the size of a 6-7 story building showed an image of the greenest planet that Safo saw in his short life. The whole planet was one big emerald gemstone. It was a jungle planet, full of animals and insects. Most of the flora and fauna had a green camouflage to blend with their surroundings.
Safo saw many ships, about thirty or so psiora ships, and fifty others. The planet was vast and it had prey for every taste.
After about an hour of slow traveling on the orbit of the planet, they found the targeted place. Below them were the great canyons where the green apes dominated. Very few animals could roam in their territory. So it was rare to see ships above the canyons.
Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
The ship started entering the atmosphere. Before, on the other ship that Kutch and O’rmon owned, they crashed because all of the defense procedures were broken. This time the ship didn’t even feel the resistance. They descended "smooth like butter".
Everybody gathered on the deck for further instructions. Safo called his team closer, he wanted to give O’rmon her task. She was a bit nervous looking forward to the special mission.
“O’rmon, I need you to open a text document and write down every moment in your life. Every single detail that you can recall, should be written down. And please use your speed to finish the task faster.” Safo examined each person in his team, everyone was confused. Even Dost was looking around to see if others got the point in Safo’s assignment.
“When you finish, start again but try to remember and add something new. Do that 10 times then create another document. Fill it out with your vision of your future. Do the same thing when you finish it, repeat with more details.” By that time everyone was completely lost. Safo could see how hard they tried to understand the meaning of the mission.
“I will explain. You are the fastest and never have spare time to yourself. I want you to remember who you are. And unfortunately, you are not allowed to join the hunt before you finish your task.”
O’rmon understood, it was Safo’s retaliation. He could command anyone anything. And they had to obey his orders. It was his ship and his mission. Kutch and she were just bodyguards. Resentment, disappointment, and helplessness. She never felt so helpless against other people before. Her eyes got wet, but she stood strong.
“I can prove myself--” She was stopped by Safo’s hand motion.
“Please go to your room and start working on a special mission that I appointed to you. Thank you for your service.” Safo Nur’s face didn’t change; he was cold, indifferent. He just kicked out O’rmon from the team meeting in front of everybody.
O’rmon turned and left, nothing that she might say could change her predicament. She was doomed to be in that ship with a commander that hated her for the betrayal.
Kutch was about to go after her but stopped to confront Safo. “Man, what was that about? You said that you're fine with her. Did you drag her to your ship just to humiliate her by locking her in her room? Not cool, man.” Kutch was tense, his sister was everything and everyone for him.
“Did you know that Kardon dumped her?” Safo looked into Kutch's eyes.
“What is that supposed to mean? No, I don't. It is not relevant anyway.” Kutch’s voice was rising with each sentence. He wanted to restore her sister’s honor.
“It does! You don’t know because you didn’t ask. Tell me I’m wrong.” Kutch was quiet so Safo continued.
“You didn’t ask because you don’t want to know. You don’t want to face it. Kardon used your sister. Did you ask yourself why? Because he has goals.” Silence in the room, Safo gave a second to Kutch.
“Yes, he has a goal while she does not. Not any. She is empty inside. She knows how to obey and doesn’t know what she wants. I don’t want empty people next to me. She will understand who she is or she won’t be here next time.
And you… If you agree with my terms, I can ask her forgiveness and beg her to join us. For that, you have to give me everything you own, all of your knives, games, and everything. Can you do it?” Kutch wanted to protest but restrained himself.
“I thought so. Stop playing around and focus, at least this time.” Then Safo turned his attention to Captain Seaghoul and nodded for him to start the operation.
“IT IS TIME! DO NOT SCREW UP! GO GO GO!” Seaghoul couldn't help but yell at his people. The crew ran to their positions ready to start the plan.
Yon and Dost also left. Kutch was motionless, he was deciding if he wanted to join Safo or refuse and sit in his room until they returned to New Tenga.
“Kutch, I did this because I want her to be stronger. She needs someone to push her. I promise if this method works, you won’t recognize her. She will be a completely new person.” Safo gestured to follow him to the hangar.
Captain Seaghoul watched them walking away while talking some nonsense, their voices gradually dimmed.
“What if not?”
“We will use another method, maybe talking?”
“Why didn’t you use that first?” Both were heading to the planes, the tension between them gone like it never was.
“I just remembered that there was talking therapy. Haha. For real.”
“Don’t lie You just wanted to play a King, ordering people silly tasks because they are obliged to obey. And why did you ask my knives, it was mean. My precious knives.” Kutch started to pet his knives.
“Haha. No, you didn’t. You just said ‘My precious’ Haha…”
Captain Seaghoul shook his head. ‘So relaxed. What are they thinking about? I hope this plan will work.’
“Good luck, Safo Nur. Don’t die on my watch.”
