"Where do you think you're going?"
He said this while looking at how I was thinking of moving towards the cave, where I was just thinking of moving forward, ignoring his suggestion. He soon floated towards me and grabbed me, showing me his ugly face:
"You. Order him to move into the forest" looks at me as I look back at him.
[Why do you think it would be better to find food in the forest?]
After a few moments, he led me to the invisible barrier and began to wave his bare wings towards it:
"Do you notice there's nothing in that nest that this thing, the dodo we're in, hatched into? I don't think there'll be food and water there, and I don't see any caring mother here or even anyone we can happen to 'brother' to. I don't think I want to meet her, ok? We are here alone. If we want there might be a way to understand what exactly is happening here and why we are here" he brought his face closer to my beak:
"But if we're both feeling hungry, I think we're bound to him and I don't want to find out what will happen if this body we're trapped in reveals its end. I don't want to find out about a second death again and I guess you don't either, so I'm sure the forest is the most promising place for food and water than in this cave, there might be someone who wants to eat this body, so do us both a favor and direct him to the forest, okay?!"
He said this in a high tone in front of me, trying to digest the speech he just explained why we had to go to the forest, feeling uncomfortable when he held me.
"And if you don't do this, I will continue to hold you," he said in front of my eyes, trying to stress me out.
It works for him.
[You won]
I snarl at him disdainfully before ordering my fake self to advance out of the cave to the cliff overlooking the forest. Each step of the body brings us closer and with it, the feeling of pressure from him loosens until we are completely out of the cave and then he releases me. I look at him happily.
[Are you happy now?]
He looked over to where the barrier showed the wild view of the cliff overlooking the forest before turning to the side where the markings and shapes that resembled me were etched, before turning back to me:
"Do you know how to climb?"
It's clear, everyone since he hatched more how to climb among the hard rocks, why does he ask this? He doesn't know how to climb?
"I guess if the words 'Climb' are already engraved, I guess you know how to do this. Can you do this?"
I don't even know what he looks like in particular to this reflection-like engraving on the side of what he looks like, which is like me, expecting me to be able to climb down. I don't remember what a dodo looks like that just hatched and can do this. I ordered the body to look to the sides to see if there was a way to go down, but every corner I ordered it to look, at only showed steep walls, crumbling rocks, and a smooth surface that only meant death. He at the same time is only getting closer and his bare wings are getting closer to hold me again.
[I can't believe I have to listen to a low tree like him]
I looked at a cliff and started commanding the body to grab the sides of the cliff and start going down.
Suddenly from the side, the engraving 'Climb' began to shine from the engravings. The low tree that calls itself 'Human' is also surprised and begins to speak:
Support creative writers by reading their stories on Royal Road, not stolen versions.
"It's unbelievable" he came closer and touched the glowing engraving while I felt how the leg grabbed the wall and his wings maintained balance and continued to descend, realizing on my own where the safest place to grab to go down, as if this body has been doing it for many seasons and not as if it just hatched, without accompaniment of my thoughts.
"I think I'm trying to understand what the scripture is trying to explain to us: the abilities that this body has, every time a body performs what is written in the 'Abilitis' list, it can perform them and the cone shines on it, saying that this is what it performs. I guess"
He looked back at the invisible barrier showing the body continuing to descend to the base of the cliff. Once that happened, we were both just amazed at what had just happened as the glowing engravings faded and returned to the way it was before. It was only a short time before the low tree looked at me, and I understood what he wanted. I reluctantly ordered to advance into the forest that stood not far away.
As we entered it, the shadow of the tall trees cast a shadow over the damp earth and dry leaves as the fake self's feet walked through them, rustling with each step and echoing through the black walls of our prison. These voices were joined by the chirping sounds of birds among the leaves of the trees. A chirping I hadn't heard before.
"I think I saw something fall from the tree" he pointed in a certain direction: "Let's investigate this"
[Are you sure?]
Not like there was anything else to do, so I commanded the body to move to where that low tree indicated. Among the strange bushes, we moved until the invisible barrier presented something resembling a partially eaten white fruit lying on the ground. Also a fruit I don't know and it seems he doesn't know either. Strange voices emanated from the low tree:
"We have no choice. I think you should try to command the body to eat it"
Hunger quickly took over my body as he pointed this out. I commanded the body to eat it. It was shown to us how it takes its big beak and bites the fruit. A sweet taste suddenly licks my tongue, an incomparable foreign sweet taste while the body continues to eat the fruit before swallowing it all in one bite, and with it, the taste is gone.
"That taste, how could I feel them?" He looked at me again before looking to the sides and approaching in a different direction this time. This time they engraved something else on the wall that I, without any reasonable explanation, understood what engraved there:
----------------------------------------
Joyfrost Fruit: A wild white fruit common throughout the Western Cliff Forest. Its taste is savory and not toxic to many.
----------------------------------------
He looked at the new signs for a while while I continued to look around the place, hoping for more such fruits to satisfy the feeling of hunger.
"So" he began to speak: "According to what is written there, this fruit, which I have never heard of, is common in this forest, known as the 'Western Cliff Forest'. Western to what?"
He kept muttering to himself while the body went into the bushes and kept trying to sniff for something else to eat, plus maybe more such fallen fruit. As soon as we left the other side of the bushes, a large tree appeared, and on it grew more of this Joyfrost.
[Jackpot!]
My tweets attracted the ears of the low tree and it moved towards me to see this tree through the invisible barrier as well.
"They look great! Come on try to get him to eat them and maybe we'll make this feeling of hunger go away"
[You don't have to state this as if I'm your servant, a rotten tree like you]
I ordered the body to advance to the big tree and made it look around to see if there were any fallen fruit, but we found nothing.
"Try to get him to climb the tree, like what was on the cliff," he said while he moved on to the engravings that had information on the body, and this time, I agreed with him. I commanded the body to climb the tree and without any delay the body started with its legs and wings to start climbing the tree, causing the writing to glow as before.
I felt a strong pain in my left wing, from something scratching me hard. At that moment, the mirror outside shows how the body fell from the tree to the side and landed on the ground. The height he climbed to was not high, but the pain of the wing remained. I squealed in pain and when I turned to the low tree, he looked at me holding one of his bare wings in his other wing, the same wing I felt the pain in as the writing on the wall faded quickly. I immediately realized that we were hit by something.
Instinctively, I commanded the body to quickly stand up and look to the left and the low tree hovered right next to me to see what just happened. As soon as the body's eyes turned in the direction I was pointing at, there stood in front of us a grayish creature with big teeth, long limbs, and a stiffened body looking at us with high eyes.
"Rat! A giant rat!" He yelled as he floated back to the wall etched with everything written about the body we're imprisoned to, but the pain on my left wing felt more real than ever. I went into shock. All this time, the low tree was right on a certain point. He quickly hovered over to me and looked at me and the invisible barrier, where the so-called 'rat' was standing in front of us, with a look I couldn't identify.
"We have to do something" he pointed out
[what exactly do you propose to do]
There weren't many moments to discuss before the giant rat started moving in his direction, I immediately commanded the body to try to avoid the rat. The movement that the fake me made moved to the side and the rat immediately reacted and jumped back, looking at us in a battle of looks. The low tree quickly advanced to the information wall and began to scream:
"The writing is where HP or I don't know what the hell it is.. the number written on it has dropped from 100 percent to 82 percent! We need to think quickly what to do" he said this before he calmed down and approached the invisible barrier, watching the rat standing in front of us, near the fruit tree.
[What an obvious genius I'm stuck with. Just great. It's going to be hell with him]
