v6c10 Meeting the Expectations

-Evening. 3rd POV-

By the end of the first evening quarter, the clear skies display the bright starlight in all its splendor and illuminate the wild lands where crickets and others creatures of the night initiate their nocturnal habits. A group of foxes treck across wolf territory towards the north while the darkness users exchange Radio signals with the canines at the border to allow passage for the intruders and report the Elders well-being to boost morale. The wolves on the hill rest with their bellies full and wounds healing while the Elders are gathered north of a beast pile around a 2.6-meter tall dragon that started discharging electricity.

*Brrzzzt~!* The number of lightning bolts and their intensity on the scaly beast increased adding to the illumination from the light user as a silence pervades after a revelation.

"Ugh! How far over the Sea are we talking?" The dragon broke the silence after a few seconds.

"HM... Far longer than you have flown without breaks." Dante thought for a moment and replied.

"The hell? Do I look like a fucking airplane?" The dragon retorted in Stilus and English.

"Pfft!" Shaila understood and snickered as she walked around the orange fox. "But I'm worried of their intentions..." She said walking closer to the glassy cluster.

"Maybe it's a test of some kind? They didn't set a deadline, and they know you are young, but that Middle-quality Manastone does lose Mana over time, so prepare for the journey as best as you can in the shortest time?" The green wolf asserted.

"Hmm... Yes... I'll have faith in the benefactors of this Tribe." Nefiru pondered and decided.

"That's the spirit!" The large black wolf cheered.

"Uh-uh... I'm coming with you." The white-haired girl declared.

"A romantic getaway? Nice!" The dragon conceded recalling the result of leaving her behind.

"Hihi~ I enjoyed the view last time..." The girl giggled and praised while walking back to the scaly beast. "But I didn't enjoy you..." She muttered recalling Nefiru's gloomy mood and stroke his snout before placing the manastones in the collar.

"Don't decide to go so easily!" The golden wolf voiced her opposition from the South and got up.

"Earth 9, questioning a summon from the aquatic Divines means offending them." Wesley lectured feeling another type of headache.

"It's fine. The Divines have stopped probing." Dark 9 assured the worried wolfen.

"Call me Elina or Earth 10." The she-wolf demanded walking imposingly around the corpse pile.

"...!? You reached Rank 10 density already?" Dante sent his probe and his expression changed noticing the higher rank.

"Just now... It was an enlightening fight for me." The golden beast revealed and stopped behind them on the East.

"I-I see... You've surpassed me..." The upper-rank 9 darkness user said lowering his head and ears.

"And I could become a Divine with a few years in the Mana too," Erina spoke confidently and turned serious. "But the Matriarch will feel threatened, and we won't be able to stop her the next time she tries to kill me." She said in a bad mood.

"W-what are you saying?" Dante stammered asking.

"...I want to kill her or leave the Tribe." Erina declared with a vicious glare and ozing bloodlust.

""WHAT?! You can't! Don't be rash! Eldeeeer...!!!"" The wolves opposed barking all around.

"WAIT!" Nefiru called out loudly and waited for the commotion to die down. "Don't lose your heads just yet." He admonished and turned to the earthen she-wolf. "Erina, your concern is warranted, but it's too early to cross that line. Give me some time with the Matriarch...I'll judge her behavior..." The scaly beast compromised.

"HUMM... Humm..." The golden beast brooded over and decided. "A little longer..." She approved unhappily before nodding and the wolves relaxed. "Though my urges to mate just increased..." The she-wolf announced anxiously.

"O-okay... But I'll prioritize learning to Heal in the case they call suddenly..." Nefiru accepted recalling the same thing happening to Dark 9.

"GRWRR... Alright, everyone, get to work!" Erina grunted and commanded gazing at all the wolves lying around.

The Earth users carried all the metal confiscated to the East where they kept working on building more air cannons and making harnesses to make them mobile. The Fire wolves moved south where Metal Cans were being piled and next to them, on the West, the air users produced toxic substances. Finally, the darkness users agglomerated on the East where it was dry while breaking up the beast circle.

*Swooohhh!* A cold breeze blew from the ocean carrying the smells of gore and bodily excretions across the landscape.

"I need some help to finish patching the fox..." Lightwater 6 requested after inspecting the orange-coated beast.

The two High-ranking healers looked at the golden wolf who nodded giving permission. The black she-wolf moved to the north and dragon moved further East giving way for the two healers to pass.

"Hey, dragon, can I borrow your human to teach us about Light?" The black wolf with the crystal daggers on his head asked.

"Oh? Good idea, Dekaron..." The dragon approved and turned to the light magician to the south.

"I got it. I got it." Shaila accepted in Stilus lifting her hands. "Smells really bad here anyway..." She mumbled and walked up to the beast.

The white-haired girl climbed the wolf's head before moving East where the others expected them.

"I got us a Teaaaacher~" The black wolf presented the girl lifting his head while trotting with the tail up high.

""OUUN!"" The darkness beasts rejoiced and opened the way for the two.

...That just happened... Nefiru retorted observing the little girl disappear into a tight group of over 60 wolves forming a circle. Now, these two... He switched thoughts turning to the foxes.

"Wesley, could you help the two foxes communicate with the Fire users?" Nefiru requested in Stilus.

"Sure... But I need a bite first--" The green wolf accepted and looked at the stack of foxes where the vixen was leaning.

"Eeeek~!" Elmyra shrieked being stared by the large eyes glowing in the dark and ran under the dragon's forelegs dimly illuminating her body.

*Gruuul~!* The belly of the scaly beast protested and the vixen flickered her ears anxiously.

"Elmyra, my stomach is calling you back~" Nefiru teased and brought an electrified foreleg closer.

"Hauugh..." The firefox whimpered getting zapped while her tail hairs get pulled.

"Cheer up! No beast around here will hurt you. They've been warned severely. Just be wary of newcomers..." The dragon assured playing with the furry person. "Now, go get some of the fabric or leather leftover from the dismantled armors, and cover yourself. Then go to the wolves playing with fire over there..." He instructed and pointed to the south.

"Uuu-huuk... I'm...I'm sorry about my ugly figuuuureeee...!" She sniveled and blurted with indignation before sprinting away barefoot as her puffed tail waves horizontally.

...Da fuk?! So delicate... I don't require girls to be naked around me! That's just Shaila who's shameless as of late... Nefiru retorted with his jaw hanging while watching the fox disappear around the beast pile. Well, at least she cared enough to get mad... He asserted and approach the corpses.

"Finally! Let's dig in..." Dechewy announced happily and pulled a rigid fox before biting on it.

*Wruaaak! Grash! Grash! Greeeep!* The black beast started ripping apart the carcass from the belly reaching the juiciest parts before they turn cold. *Kru-krukk! Kru... kruuu...kruash!* The first corpse was dismantled and the meat given to the leaders in hierarchical order before throwing the intestines downhill for low-ranks to devour. *Chlum! Chlum! Krurum! Kachi! Krurum!* The Elder wolves and the dragon munched on the slightly bitter meat until they filled their bellies while the black wolf continued chewing on the bones.

The Four Elders proceeded with their tasks as the healers finished their treatment and the orange Fox picked the vixen dressed in rags before moving south. The dragon moved to the East of the beast pile where the armors were to keep an eye on the girls before the three white wolves surrounded him and lied down relaxingly after having eaten their portion.

"So... Where do we start?" Aidan questioned facing the dragon from the south.

"Uhh... Sense Lifeforce?" The scaly beast facing south responded.

"Hau..." Lightwater groaned looking down while shaking head.

"...At least it's not sensing Mana." Aidan sneered in the front.

"Gwruff! It's a good thing that some knowledge isn't necessary for magic." Aker snorted lying over a fox's tail on the dragon's left.

"Erm... I've met Aura users before, and I have felt the Spirit of other creatures, but not mine since the Collar was messing with my Magic perception." Nefiru announced pointing at his neck.

"Dragon... Every animal, insect, and plant have Spirit and Lifeforce. Although creatures like insects and grass are so weak Spiritually that you confuse it with ambient mana unless looking very closely." Aidan corrected.

"Huh? Something as weak as insects have Souls?" The scaly beast asserted.

"Not sure... We do know that Spirit and Lifeforce threads emerge from biological activity in the presence of Mana and their density depends on the Mana converted...but it can increase under certain conditions, so maybe the Soul forms eventually? I mean, that must be why trees take so long to Rank up. Though the forest to the south is too young to have many Magical trees. Maybe smarter organisms are given a Soul directly?" Lightwater explained their passed on knowledge and conjectured.

Hmm... The Reality should determine which molecular activity qualifies to bestow Spirit or convert it from the easiest energy source like Mana, then Life-force is molded inside the Cells and the Soul finally sprouts outside the Realm like a germinating seed... Outside...I want to find out what's outside with the Matriarch's help-- Nefiru surmised the mechanism when a wolf interjected.

"Actually, there are rumors that strands of Spirit can form in things minerals or even water, binding with Lifeforce in the substance..." Aker corrected. "But I have yet to be attacked by a rock or the river..."The blue wolf with the underside and tail tip white said sarcastically.

"The hell? Hahaha...! I can understand living creatures, but rocks and water? Spirit doesn't interact with objects just as Mana..." The scaly beast chuckled and reminded.

"That's...not entirely correct. We learned from our deceased Patriarch that the origin of the 'Domain' is High-density Spiritual threads with properties that allow it to interact with matter strongly. Of course, its primary function is binding with natural Lifeforce tightly inside the flesh and affix the Soul to the body, but at Divine Rank, you can exert the full extent of your Willpower with it to dominate objects... This innate Spirit is only a small portion compared to the conscious Spirit which we use to practice Magic arts and decreases with use, but it does recover and grows at immortal ranks." Aidan proudly elaborated. "Amazing, right?" He asked smirking.

"WoAH! Mind blown... So, it's like an unconscious Spirit... Interesting. Veeery intereeeesting~" The dragon reviewed feeling astounded and mobilized his magic. "But how come I can't sense anything?" He wondered looking at each wolf.

"Hau... Because you can't control innate Spirit at mortal ranks! And the Spirit you do control isn't Potent enough to detach a higher density Superior Spirit from Lifeforce and Flesh. Inevitably, you grow to ignore immobile Spirit like holding something for so long that you forget about it. And we are used to sensing the active Spirit first in other creatures since that's what matters most..." Lightwater explained the possible causes.

Help support creative writers by finding and reading their stories on the original site.

"Ah, like a tail...!" Nefiru associated with the limb as an analogy.

"That's...one strange way to put it..." Aidan commented with slanted eyes.

"But it's no wonder his dormant Spirit is imperceptible to him...it's Rank 8! I haven't seen such a density gap before. What monsters the two of them are..." Aker affirmed looking to the west.

"...Wait, WHA--!!?" The scaly beast blurted aghast.

"Surprised? Ahum... That's why it was so difficult to replicate your Lifeforce at first, and it hurt when I made mistakes in magic control, but luckily you were also severely injured..." Lightwater nodded affirming and added.

"So, Domains have different...strengths, huh? Haven't been inside others enough to notice..." The purple-blue creature asserted at Shaila within the pack on the west.

"That's right. The density gap between active Spirit and inactive seems to depend on talent and perhaps even the type of creature. It grows ahead of your Rank too until Pre-Divine... I'm looking forward to Shimmer and you becoming Rank 7. Hufufu~" The smallest white wolf remarked and chuckled.

"Daaaaamn... That's outrageous! But...Talent is related to Soul age, so maybe this dormant Spirit is stronger the more powerful a Soul is?" Nefiru conjectured asking.

"Possibly," Aker affirmed recalling the disclosed mysteries. "I must've been a respectable lone wolf or a similar beast in the past... Or a hermit with a cave aall to myself..." He closed his eyes imagining.

"Yes, that makes sense, dragon." Aidan agreed and added. "I was probably a dignified beast like a multicolored bird! I dreamed about soaring through the skies gracefully many times..." He looked at the sky describing.

"It's good to be old~ I probably lived human lives and went on many adventures..." Lightwater mused wondering what to find.

""Hruff!! More like a human PET!"" The two other wolves snorted and remarked.

"He'd totally make a good Pet." Nefiru declared and lashed at the white wolf's left forelegs.

"Heep!" Lightwater yelped and pulled away as the pointy fangs fig into the tough hide. "W-what...?!" He questioned the unwarranted aggression and realized it was play.

*Chrrrsh! Chrrrrrch! Whump!* The nearly 3 meter tall white wolf let himself be dragged and flipped over before the dragon moved the right forepaw to rub the belly.

"Whos a good boy?" The scaly beast asked moving his paw back and forth while scratching with the claws lightly.

"HYAP~!" Lightwater yelped squirming while pedaling with his legs up in the air and head laid back with a satisfied expression.

"Gaaaay!" Aker called out in a derogatory manner.

"H-how improper. That's an act of total submission..." Aidan reproved the two.

"Haff! Haff! I... I wouldn't mind being a pet if I get to follow Shimmer like him... I also want to see different things outside this Tribe. I want to search for something I don't even know what it is..." The small white wolf divulged sprawled upsidedown.

"Hehe..." Nefiru chuckled and stopped his paw before gripping the white fur. "You may find this act unorthodox but I'm still struggling to accept Beasts with humane personalities. I can't help but see Lightwater as a fluffy pet that I would totally buy and let into the house... I know it's wrong, but I can't help it when you guys are this obedient..." He compared and looked down. "I'll call you Amil Leyo! We'll build a collar for you later..." The scaly beast named the canine.

"Woof!" Lightwater barked accepting. "It's not bad. But I wanted Shimmer to name me." He reviewed regretting not asking her.

"Oh, yeah? Imagine how normal you feel to us... Hunf!" Aker scoffed and compared sarcastically.

"Grrrr... How insulting..." Aidan was unable to endure and snapped growling. "I'll have you know that all Magical Beasts develop complex feelings like humans, but we barely suppress them because we are social creatures too. However, Beasts are one step from letting instincts take over... Don't push us." He reminded with indignation and threated showing his teeth before realizing. "On second thought, you really should mingle with Beasts more until behave like one. You are too human! Have you even licked yourself? What if you weren't born with water magic to wash yourself?" The white wolf lectured sternly.

"GUH! I'm...I'm trying! It's not easy being me... The things you carry from past lives aren't always happy or beneficial..." Nefiru stammered justifying his behavior.

"But owner has many advantages over, us, pets thanks to those experiences." The white wolf sprawled upside down said in a friendly tone and straighten his body.

"You have a point, fluffy one. But it didn't help me learn Auramancy, now, did it? Low-talented creatures have it easy..." The scaly beast countered shaking his head and wanting to resume the activity.

"It's just about progress... It would be difficult to sense innate Spirit on your own, but surely, even you could feel its effects, right? Or it has never stricken you as odd how your Domain remained when Magic is outside your body?" Aidan reminded.

"Ah...! Y-yes..." The dragon embarrassingly acknowledged.

"It's like this... The Potency of innate Spirit is so great that it fortifies your conscious Spirit and resists invaders, it slows down Magic threads and helps entangle with the flesh to give you strength. Although that's a problem to move Magic quickly, it was a good idea carving those channels in your body... Maybe we should..." Aker explained and entertaining the thought.

"Right... Energy threads can pass through each other, but there is a resistance that increases with density, awareness, and this 'Potency?'" Nefiru asked confirmation.

"Yes, it's the capacity to exert Spirit's motion or oppose forces. It weakens the further away from the Soul too." The wolfen to the east replied.

"Ah, that's what dictates the Magic stability range... But where does this...'motion' come from?" The dragon realized and asked.

"From your will...? Any action with the Spirit is not without a price. The amount is negligent at low ranks since you recover the loss from ambient mana immediately, but Spirit is always lost to the world or consumed in order to move and interact with things... So, expanding your probe all the time at Higher ranks is increasingly wasteful the further away from your soul." Aidan elaborated as he understood.

"That sounds logical, hm-mm..." The purple-blue beast approved blinking.

"So... How are we doing this? Do we injure him inside with magic or bite off his tail?" Aidan questioned losing patience.

"The fuck? Leave my tail alone! Grishhh!" Nefiru snapped and hissed showing his fangs aggressively.

*Swoooh! Twuosh!* The scaly beast retracted the long tail to his right side.

"...Are you a snake to hiss at me??" The white wolf backed away intimidated and retorted.

"Hmph!" The scaly beast harrumphed with indignation.

"Dragon, you wanted the fastest method to sense Lifeforce..." Aker admonished with a piercing stare. "The innate Spirit weaves Lifeforce inside Life-blocks in a way supports the biological process, but you have no control over it, so when the tissue is damaged, Lifeforce starts to detach and turn back into Mana while the Spiritual threads retract..." He described the reasons.

"I-I know... Got it... But that's a little too extreme..." The scaly beast faltered accepting.

"I agree. Dragons have abundant Lifeforce. We just need to expose it for him to feel the property oscillations, so let's just invade his body and whip our Magic around." Lightwater suggested.

""That might work... Let's do this..."" The two healers approved and mobilized their magic while the scaly beast retracted his to the head and bodily cavities.

*Zroom!!!* The three types of magic stabbed into the dragon making him flinch uncomfortably.

"Okay, where or what am I looking for, exactly?" Nefiru asked impatiently.

"A different feel... We are also targeting the less resistant spots... The innate Spirit permeates the flesh like branches coming from the head as the potency decreases, but there are places where these energy threads tend to retreat, so they are needlessly abundant and more malleable." Aidan replied.

"Hmm... That almost sounds like meridians..." The dragon said in English and concentrated.

...

"Anything...?" Lightwater asked after a while.

"...Nothing. At. All!" Nefiru reported being unable to sense anything out of the ordinary.

"We are already doing our best here..." Aidan commented.

"You are terrible at this..." Aker criticized.

"Sh-shut up!" The dragon bumbled.

"Should we ask the Elders?" Amil suggested.

"...Da fuck? Do you want to rip my Lifeforce out?!?!" Nefiru retorted.

The wolves looked at each other wondering about the absurd statement and the lowest rank spoke out.

"Can that happen? Could a Divine remove a Soul from a body?" Lightwater 6 inquired.

"I'm...not...sure... I'd imagine that removing innate Spirit from the head would be the hardest. However, severing the Spiritual roots at the top can decrease Lifeforce and there seems to be a minimal requirement to bind a Soul, so... Bye bye, Soul?" Aker conjectured.

"Oh, yeah... Some creatures actually die from a little cut, and others refuse to let go of life... Hahaha!" The dragon sneered.

"I'm not too sure either. But without the innate Spirit and Life force's support, the Life blocks would probably start to shrivel and die... It's not wrong to call it 'Vitality.'" Aidan added.

"Right... Well, there's something I haven't tried..." Nefiru approved and said before closing his eyes.

The scaly beast commanded the Lightning elementals on his head to intensify the intricate semi-automatic electrochemical process while water delivered nourishment... The neurotransmission sped up and the number of connections increased beyond normal Brain activity producing fast and clear thoughts of the likes Nefiru had never experienced before.

"Brain Boost complete!" The dragon announced opening his eyes showing a sharp glint in the dark of night.

Hm? This is more advanced than the past overboost. The recent electromagnetic insights is the most probable cause. Excellent. The current Spirit density should be adequate to detect the same Spiritual subtleties as the healers.

"Oh, this is the suicidal brain electrocution...? Your Spirit's almost Rank 7... But your mana remained with Low-Rank 6 density and Spirit threads didn't increase in number or length. Fascinating..." Aker reviewed inspecting the scaly beast.

"Correct. It is merely a temporary boost to increase intelligence and Spiritual sensitivity... Let us begin." Nefiru confirmed in a neutral tone.

"That's dangerous!" Lightwater admonished worriedly.

"Caution unneeded. The process is more efficient now and functioning within safe parameters, but time is limited before it ceases to be the case." The dragon appeased and urged.

"Wuugh..." Amil swallowed and accepted reluctantly.

The three healers continued their invasive actions inside the dragon and signaled the aforementioned spots scattered throughout the body while he isolated the myriad of sensations and tested them.

"Hm...!? Objective achieved, instructors. I am now aware of my own Vitality." The scaly beast informed.

""Done already?!?!"" The wolves blurted surprised.

"Yes. I am currently mapping the Spiritual roots in my body. How shall we proceed?" The purple-blue beast affirmed and inquired.

""..."" The wolves looked at each other and shrugged before one spoke out.

"The next step is harder. You have to identify the vibrational frequencies of Lifeforce threads and memorize the patterns just as growl sounds to speak our language." Aker instructed.

"Like intent transmission?" Nefiru asked looking at him.

"No. That's a superficial wavelength. It doesn't count. The energy threads have distinct vibrations according to what they are and different variations or types like Spirits. You'll need to keep your magic perfectly still and clear your mind to be able to sense them." The wolfen answered.

"Which threads?" The purple-blue beast specified.

"Uhm? What do you mean?" The white wolf asked.

"Do mana or Life-force threads have the same oscillation all the way down to infinity? They all appear to be filaments coiled around others with similar thickness occupying more Space while decreasing fuel capacity per volume and maintaining equilibrium. Perhaps the potential energy is canceled out with bigger threads... Unless different threads exist?" The dragon elaborated questioning the conformation.

"Uhmm... Not sure about why energy decreases with big threads, but we can't control them, so maybe we can't feed elementals well and that's why they help us?" Lightwater surmised.

"Hmm... Or we don't feed them enough unless we grow..." Nefiru added taking notice.

"I-in any case, deep down, everything seems to be just Mana, but you just need to focus on the first double helix. Although the deeper the strings are transformed, the longer the thread will maintain that property as higher densities can be more stable..." The white wolf finished lecturing.

The dragon directed his awareness to the strongest Vitality spots and concentrated with every ounce of willpower attempting to feel the elusive vibrations.

...

Hmm... Is this it...? Negative. I've only just begun... Affirmative. The progress is merely around 20%... 50%...99%...99...99.1%. This is unacceptable. The smallest sectors are extremely difficult... Nefiru viewed the progress impatiently.

...

"Memorization complete." The scaly beast informed after a few minutes.

"...That was too fast." Amil commented with a deadpan look.

""...Again."" The other two wolves finished saying.

"Now, I have to replicate the Life-force properties, yes?" The scaly beset assumed feeling the time running out.

"Y-yes... Close your eyes and concentrate on recalling all the Vibrations that define your life force with a clear image, then Will the Spirit to transform Mana strings. But keep in mind, the more you try to convert at once, the more incompatible and incomplete lifeforce threads form which slows down healing and wastes mana when relinquished... This will take practice. A lot of practice." The smallest healer described.

"Noted. Commencing procedure ." The dragon acknowledged and concentrated on the task as instructed. "Test 1...Failure. Test 2...Failure... Test 338...Failure... Test 901...Failure..." He repeated the results and stopped. "Is this speed acceptable?" The purple-blue creature inquired.

"What's this?! The dragon didn't do it instantly?" Aker said with a smug expression.

"Why is he talking so weird?" Aidan wondered tilting his head.

"Don't worry. It's not meant to be as fast as you want. But if you are unable to transform mana directly, try some magic exercises like twists and turns within the head for now. It took me hundreds of twists and knots to make your lifeforce at first, but it's different for everyone." Amil encouraged revealing shortcuts.

"Alternatives...?" Nefiru interrogated with a pressuring glare.

"I-I suppose... The easiest and most lazy way to mold one's own Lifeforce would be twisting and turning Magic and molding Mana repeatedly within abundant Vitality until it acquires its properties. But it's quite wasteful." Lightwater thought for a moment and described.

"Hmph! You aren't that low talented to resort to such inelegant methods. Desist. Desist." Aidan opposed shaking his head.

"Sounds like what humans practice. Extremely inefficient indeed. But I might be able to transfer the oscillations by maximizing contact surface or connecting the string tips..." The dragon announced and attempted the rudimentary method

"Connecting with higher density strings? Good luck with that. Might as well balance a hair straight up." Aker sneered rolling his eyes.

Hmm... If precision is insufficient, I'll increase the chances of a collision by circulating Magic in several opposite loops like Pea-sized Particle Accelerators. Nefiru concluded and began the procedure. Hm? Success with 2 strings less than an inch long. Stop all motion... Begin attunement. Will the transfer of properties... He meditated a few minutes more while monitoring the delicate process. So, that's how it starts to convert... It would've taken tens of thousands of tests to figure this out. The scaly beast determined and relinquished the two high-ranked strands of life force. I couldn't control them anymore, but they aren't going away seeking ambiance equilibrium, so mana was successfully altered. Next is...direct alteration... The water user reviewed and continued testing.

"Operation successful, instructors," Nefiru announced after a minute and disabled the brain boost. "Argh! Headache... Headache... I feel dumber too..." He complained and wobbled while shaking the head.

"...Already?! I thought 3 days was generous..." Amil blurted stunned and muttered thinking back to his estimate.

"...That's just cheating," Aidan grumbled with an accusing tone.

"...Congratulations! Anything else you would like to learn a hundred times faster than others?" Aker questioned sarcastically and crossed his forelegs.

Ugh... L-lots of things, actually. I-if time and luck allows. But for now, I-I need to finish with He-healing... Is low-den...sity Life-force okay?" Nefiru stammered answering.

"Yes, that's the only normal thing about you just now. We call it pseudo-Life-force when it's not the same density as the target and it is a little less efficient, but the innate Spirit will gradually mold it further." Aker assured with an explanation.

"The last step is easy, dragon. Just plaster Life-force where it's lacking or tissue growing, and the innate Spirit do the rest which accelerates the biological process. You only need to monitor growth and redirect body reserves with water magic when needed." Lightwater 6 instructed feeling accomplished.

"Pheww~" The dragon sighed relieved and slumped resting the head over the white wolf.

"Are you done?" Erina asked peeking around the fox corpses.

"Hm?! Yes... Tired..." The scaly beast lazily replied.

"Let's mate!" The Golden wolf ordered and walked closer.
