v5c9 Beast Purpose

-Dawn. Nefiru's POV-

Outside my lair, wolf howls come from different directions, and the rapid river keeps a serene background noise with the occasional fish splash. Inside the dome illuminated by magic, I calm down after an outburst, and lowered the shivering girl before slumping down next to Erina. The three wolves who couldn't understand stay silent, and the high-rank stares with her mouth agape blowing hot breath my way while the coiled snake is quietly observing from a corner, hoping to be forgotten.

All this time... Was I expecting some random guy to be the villain of the story? It's just easier to live with concepts of good and evil, but are those we consider 'good' or sympathize with, the only ones who deserve to achieve anything? I'm only a little better from my point of view... That asshole has the right to be the emerging personality as the eldest Lifetime, and 'we' did waste all his efforts to evolve, well, the Hunter did, but is this the only way...? I meditated.

"...I-I sense the fear in your Spirit..." Shaila stuttered with an anguished look on her face. "Nefi... You are so scaaaared, and vulneraaable...it pains me seeing you like this..." She softly said crouching down next to my left eye.

...I look pathetic venting like a maniac, but who would accept being a fodder of knowledge and soul force? I feel so wronged...it's maddening, but I must compose myself, and think logically to face this hopeless future. I reviewed frustrated.

"HAAAHHhhh~" I do a long sigh blowing Erina's hair. "I'm terrified of reaching Divine, meeting the draconian and getting absorbed for the last time. I would be just a few memories inside of him, and that's frightening." I announced in a depressed voice.

"NO! You don't know that! It's all been conjectures until now... You could be wrong!" The girl rocks my head denying. "You must be..." She said stopping and started caressing the scales around the eye.

"...The conversation is hard to follow, but were you a Divine before?" Erina asked after recovering.

"That's what you are surprised about?" I snapped.

"No, it's awful, even for a beast, but--Understood, I'll stay quiet." She said and stopped under my glare.

"I... I wanted--I hoped to be wrong, Shaila. But you just confirmed the existence of other Soul Pieces, and everything else just--falls into place. I always felt certain of my deductions, but how couldn't I when this has repeated for centuries, and something is bound to remain after each rebirth. I can't ignore things with similar names to English and Latin like the Calendar, the Maps, the inventions foreign to this world, and the Cakes from the Capital...they are NOT coincidences!" I announced

How did I even get the world to adopt these things anyway? If I achieved such reputation, then, why Alkalis, why did you die alone? I wondered and looked at the shiny loop in the corner.

"Heck, there was an important clue right around my neck all this time!" I  declared.

"...!! The collar? Didn't Tinkers made them?" Shaila asked looking at my neck.

"Well, yeah, but...come on, Shaila, a Mana-based CPU, and speakers...?" I described.

"...An Earth invention." She asserted touching her lips.

"Bingo!" I acknowledged.

"Are you responsible for enslavement?" Erina questioned.

"HMM..." I scratched under my jaw and answered. "Their original purpose must have been for communication, but the Tinkers plundered and modified them." I theorized.

"...Right. You suspected the Tinkers before." The light user affirmed. "But a thousand years seems too much..." She disagrees.

"Well, the earliest familiar thing is the Calendar with 1156 years...it could mark my birth in this world much like how I keep track now," I answered.

Still, around 1500 years already passed on my Earth... everyone and everything is long gone...I...Ugh... I mourned.

"Erm... You...were Alkalis? Are you sure it's not your counterpart?" Shaila pointed out.

"Weeeelll... The contributions of Alkalis sound like something either of us would do, but he is rumored to be a dragon who abandoned his body, so we can tell who it should be." I theorized.

"I know! It's the pervert in front of me. Sister would love to hear that. Hihihi~" Shaila mused giggling.

"Oiii! It's because I always reincarnate as a Dragon with humans memories whereas my counterpart could even be a different creature, or keep all memories on rebirth." I reproved.

"Ah, like Gray mate." She asserted.

"Yeah... At least I'm sure that I apologized to him in that dream." I confirmed.

"Nn..." The girl nodded pondering.

"Who are you talking about?" Erina asked confused.

"Ah, right... It's...a duplicate of my human memories..." I replied vaguely.

"Interesting..." The she-wolf said also wondering.

"Umm... Nefi, He needs a name." Shaila requested.

"Oh, you are right... How about James 1 or Nefiru 2?" I proposed.

"...How terrible." Shaila criticized rolling her eyes.

"Ugh... Then, Feniru, Fenriu, Nifure, Urifen, Rinefu..." I listed combinations.

"Oh--Oh! Your name backward sounds nice." The girl picked.

"Clever, and lazy..." The golden wolf commented.

"But Nefi... Wouldn't it make more sense for your Draconian lifetime to be Alkalis since his children were called that?" Shaila revives the topic.

"Nay. Rayan was just another ignorant person from the modern era who took everything for granted and don't know how anything works. Besides, he's not someone who would help people, or have children unless necessary because sex is a mundane thing for him." I elaborated.

"Eww... A cold version of you--No thank you. I prefer the pervert. He's more sweet~" Shaila declared and approached my eye "Chu~" She smooched my eyelid. "AAAH! You rascal! You had many women then, and those Draconian children are yours!" The girl softly hit my scales accusing.

"Don't be absurd. I have no DNA ties and no memories of ever having children. Their Father is long dead." I explained denying.

"But not gone...and what about Soul Birth? Will you still not take responsibility if one of them is a true descendant?" She asked in a serious tone that weighted down on me.

"GUO! I don't know..." I replied averting my gaze.

"What's that?" Erina asked.

"Umm... When a Soul comes into existence for the first time may have a high compatibility with the lifeform, but sadly, low affinities... Nefi says they might have a special connection to the parents too." Shaila explained.

"...I shouldn't have asked." The golden wolf spoke saddened.

"Well, Nefi, you'll meet your children soon. Grandma is in Telum buying them." The girl revealed.

"Say wha-!? Are you k i d d i n g meee?" I blurted aghast.

"Is this cute face lying? Mm?" She said shoving her head in my eye.

"HMM... Maybe she wants a lizardman for perverted things." I teased.

"HEY!! Don't believe those rumors! She's a great person." Shaila reproached.

"That is doing something stupid. What if 'HE' notices?" I condemned.

"Ohhh... Sh-she doesn't know... I'm sorry..." Shaila excused becoming pale.

"It's not your fault. Maybe it's because of her past...but it won't cause trouble...yet." I announced.

"Wait... You know something! Tellll meee~" She demanded pulling my ear.

"Dun, Dun, Duuun~ Elena was Rayan's grandmother!" I revealed. "Hurray! We are related!" I said pretending to be delighted.

"...Huuuhh?" She uttered dropping her jaw.

Haha. That expression... I mused.

"...No, we are not! Er... You got me." The girl denied and realized. "We have something in common, but not blood-related in different worlds and lifetimes." She reaffirmed. "Heeey! How did you find out without meeting grandma?" She doubted.

"Oh, Rigel was my cousin, and Elena's grandson...strangely enough, with the same names and affinities," I answered.

"Wow! Talk about obvious...even affinities?" Shaila retorted.

"Yep. It was a World System that allowed lifeforce to control the Elements and transformations." I elaborated.

"Wait... Who changed shape?!" Shaila asked surprised.

"Dragons, of course," I replied.

"How convenient..." The white-haired girl appraised.

"How strange..." The she-wolf judged.

"Elena was an old Dragon stuck in the form of human. Sounds familiar?" I announced.

"Oh, Gods... We are alike...even now." Shaila muttered with wide eyes.

"Yes, most likely, she and Rigel were victims of Rayan's Dragon killings here and became human..." I speculate.

"Ugh! The loyalty and coldness of that water magician make sense now." She judged with a sour voice.

"Harsh. He did save you..." I rebuked.

"From their own plot!" The angry girl countered.

"Okay, look... Do you know Ronja?" I asked staring at the girl.

"Should I?" She crossed her arms in opposition.

"Maybe... She was Elena's daughter, and practically raised me along with her son, Rigel, who also taught me many things about dragons." I explained.

"Is that so..." She muttered unimpressed.

"I'm flying well now thanks to him, you know?" I reaffirmed.

"Really? Good for you~" Shaila cheered. "I still don't like him." She said sarcastically in a serious tone as if her previous expression was a lie.

"Ridiculous...learning how to fly from a dream..." Erina interjected.

"A dream, you say? A flood of senses and heavy emotions from lifetimes ago that affected me even now..." I put into perspective.

""That bad?"" The two asked in different tongues.

"It was appalling. Rayan slowly consumed Rigel alive to extract as much life force as possible and live longer for a chance to evolve." I recounted.

"His own...family...yet he still failed. And now, he's doing the same to you! Ugh! How much suffering must he cause?" The girl asserted with a twisted face.

"I know right? He has no respect for life, but I was him, so it feels like I own Rigel an apology." I asserted.

"...No, you don't. Just don't kill him." Shaila said with a hardened face.

"I find it acceptable. Just a shame he didn't achieve his goals." The golden wolf reviewed.

"Naive, Erina. Rayan was being watched and condemned to a life of solitude as punishment. He was just too stupid to realize it." I clarify.

"WUO? Of course...if nobody finds out, then it's not breaking the rules." The golden wolf related.

"Still... THAT stupid Rayan managed to beat the Divine Alkalis? YOU?!! Is he SO great??" The white-haired girl questioned.

"Ugh! Rayan is more of a schemer than a fighter, and has won so far, but he also managed to sense the Celestial Fragment without Magic..." I admitted.

"Woah! That is some scary talent... Yep, scary." Shaila acknowledged nodding. "...You'll sense it someday too." She consoled petting.

Maybe I did in the past, and it didn't help... Or perhaps I need to become like Rayan to truly connect with the Fragment. I surmised.

Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Report sightings.

"I rather not ask..." The golden she-wolf retorted. "But what affinity was he?" She inquired.

"Earth. He was a golden Dragon." I replied.

"HM... Earth Divines can be very powerful, and resourceful." Erina unveiled.

"You're right...I had other affinities in the past too. But HE didn't do it alone either." I affirmed and turned to Shaila. "...If Gray is born with all memories and knew where to find you, then the Soul pieces were informed, and obviously, I was seen as a threat... So while Alkalis was indulging in pleasure and inventions, Rayan found trustworthy allies and prepared to subdue him." I narrated.

"Hmm... Ah! I know. I know~ The soldiers like me." Shaila guessed enthusiastically.

"It's possible... But I'm talking about the Tinkers." I corrected.

"Really?! He's the mastermind behind them? Erm... Aren't they on bad terms with dragons?" Shaila counters raising an eyebrow.

"Well, Rayan harbored hatred and indifference towards his race too, so, that's not an issue. It helped that these Dwarfs were oppressed, according to Intel, and they love knowledge, so our Hero just had to give them what they want in exchange for an unbreakable alliance that has lasted centuries..." I elaborated.

"The importance of allies, is it?" The golden she-wolf interpreted.

"Indeed. Sadly, one would need to be overpowering or incredibly lucky to achieve difficult goals alone, and we know I'm neither..." I declared looking at the girl in thin clothes.

"Hehe... But you are lucky to have me~ee~" Shaila sang with a cute pose.

I got annoyed and electrocuted her ass.

"Hyaahh~!" Shaila screamed silly while jerking the body. *Plof!* The girl fell. "Owowi... Always my butt..." She complains getting up and dusting her clothes before sitting on my foreleg.

I didn't hear anything about Alkalis having reliable allies from Liana--Wait... Her obsession with sex and Alkalis is abnormal...did she meet him...? Bah! She was useless anyway. I conjectured before speaking.

"Alkalis was an idiot. He was surrounded by women who couldn't fight and drew too much attention. Be it arrogance, a gamble that failed, or an obsession, he certainly didn't expect the worse scenario..." I concluded.

"HUum... I can imagine you developing faster than the dragon-half which left him with no choice but to use quantity over quality and threw an entire race at you with the promise of knowledge and prosperity. That single victory was enough to ensure winning the war since you couldn't resist anymore, and his advantage only grows over the years...how troublesome." Erina conjectured worriedly.

"Heh~ Impressive..." I commended nodding.

*Brashh! Brashhh!* A golden tail beats on the ground noisily.

"Pfft!" Shaila contained her mocking laughter.

"Wuo? Is something wrong?" Erina innocently asked.

"No... Sorry..." Shaila denied waving a hand. "But, Erina, it couldn't be just about numbers since Rayan was willing to do aaaaanyyything... A hostage can be more effective than an army, and Alkalis had many children that could be used against Nefi in every life. It's also possible he convinced other Soul pieces and ate them when the job was done..." She elaborated.

"Indeed. That cliche plot couldn't have been pretty." I affirmed. "Good girl." I praised.

"Fufufu. Praise me more!" She chuckled and requested with a smile.

"I can almost see a tail wagging on her..." Erina interjected.

"Geh!" Shaila uttered embarrassed.

"Anyways. I think Alkalis made a deal to keep his children alive and thought he'd be okay dying because the Fragment protects my core--the human lifetime and my Race would keep me safe to raise up again, but, he miscalculated. Rayan already knew or found out from memories after absorbing my Soul which can't be THAT easy, but it must have been enough to figure out what to do next." I clarify.

It seems Guardians have to follow certain rules now and what's considered 'death,' for us, changes a little... I asserted.

"No way... He's responsible for the Dragon massacre? Alkalis did disappear before it happened..." Shaila denies as surprise dawns on her face.

"Indeed. The biggest obstacle was the dragon society as they could retaliate, become my allies, or simply birth me as a High Tier Dragon. So, Rayan used my inventions, and knowledge to kill most Dragons with the Tinker's help, and keep the population in check, then hunt down the emerging Divines or ancient bloodlines." I theorized.

I probably lived happily in the wild every time, reached Divine, and met my end in a despairing way... I lamented.

"The potential of MIP, and the perfect allies..." Shaila muttered understanding. "Weun... At least they didn't exterminate the dragon race..." She saw the positive.

"Other immortal rankers wouldn't let that happen. Although against a force that accomplished such feat, they wouldn't act so quickly either." Erina interjected.

"No, Rayan didn't need to do that. He was preparing the stage to find me again, but suddenly stopped, and vanished as if they had enough or...found Urifen. However, unlike me, his human memories could actually be stolen." I surmised.

"...Waauw!! A system to extract knowledge from Urifen--" The light user admired.

"And use me like cattle to empower his Soul since starting with human memories was a cheat." I finished the conclusion. "I can't even fathom Rayan's strength, but he should be a Demigod if that HIV virus has something to do with him." I speculate.

"Ugh... And the things he could have done to extract knowledge from Urifen...it's just--Ugghhh..." The girl cringed.

In all this, Urifen may have suffered more than me...just thinking what could have been done to him and for how long gives me shivers... I'm so sorry, Man. I caused us so much tragedy...yet I feel like I was James and left Earth a few months ago, so it isn't that bad. I pondered.

"That sounds really bad..." Erina commented.

"NO! Divine isn't easy. He couldn't do it many times in 900 years!" Shaila strongly opposed.

"Maybe. But stealing just a portion of my progress a couple times would be enough to reach Demigod in record time. Besides, he has the resources to nurture someone..." I countered.

"Ugh... Truly the worst..." She said making a disgusted face.

"HUum... You make it sound easy, but are you certain he can harvest your soul? Isn't that practice, suicide?" Erina inquired.

"Well, I believe it's feasible without rejection like Soul mates or a sufficient Rank gap." I declared staring into Shaila's eyes.

I did give it some thought after offering my soul to Shaila... It can work, but the target must be truly willing or the attacking soul considerably stronger. I affirmed.

"HMM... A clash between Divine Souls can lead to mutual destruction or at best, cause enough harm to de-rank, and lose memories forever." The earthen wolf elaborated.

Hmm... Right, there is no Magic for that...only a Soul can absorb another directly, so taking damage is inevitable. I realized and look at the wolf.

"However, Erina, what rejection can the same Soul have?" I asked.

"HMM... ...None?" She replied being unsure.

"Wrong! It's the will of personalities." Shaila corrected.

"That's right. The Soul hosts consciousness in a part of itself much like the brain in the body, and it can be aware just the same." I compared.

"WUK! Even though our Divine's looked like just a tiny wisp..." The she-wolf recalled.

"Well, that 'Wisp' is a High-Density energy construct which survives outside of space-time where matter can't even exist." I rectified.

"That's complicated... But if souls are that sturdy, then it explains why intense energy attacks are needed to harm them at all." Erina surmised. "Did I understand it right?" She asked brushing her tail against mine.

"Yeah, you got it. Think of it as each Realm having an Energy Density Range in which Souls are created, and you need to increase it before you can go to a Higher Plane of existence while a lower one hardly restricts. But Spirit should be way behind the Plane in terms of density as it is just an extension of the soul like your limbs." I explained my conjectures.

Now that I think about it, the faster response times of deities must be because a higher density increases the processing speed as signals travel shorter distances, but how does it function without space-time? Does it have its own or everything in the cosmos exists in layers...? I analyzed.

"So... I can be Super Shaila in a lower realm?" The white-haired girl asked with a mischievous smile.

"Your IQ is monstrous already... No wonder kids at school hated you..." I retorted.

"What was that?" The glowing girl questioned in a threatening tone.

"That-that you are beautiful inside and out." I complimented.

"Hihih~" She giggled.

"HUum... I see... One would need to be over Demigod to approach such densities in Magic, so..." Erina ponders. "Then last question. Is the Soul uniform in density?" She inquired.

"Hmm... I would imagine difficult to work being constant, and a Core of sorts would make sense while the outer region newly forms." I hypothesised.

"Then, our Divine wasn't erased!" Erina announced.

"""WHAT!?""" The other wolves perked their ears in attention.

"A mere Divine cannot produce the energy density required to obliterate a Soul in this Realm. A fragment of Father must have survived!" The she-wolf declared.

"Well... I suppose his Soul could also degrade and leave the world before getting annihilated, but...finding him is--" I use another example.

"No, this is good news!" Erian interrupted.

"Mother is right. This will bring us closure." Midas supplemented.

"There is no proof to any of this!! You blabbered a lot of assumptions today...it's gotta be a new record. " The wind user protested but was ignored by the rejoicing wolves. "Hruff! I give up..." She uttered lying down with eyes closed.

"Dragonnn~ Don't leave me out of the conversation..." Lightwater pleaded like a lost puppy.

"In time." I brushed him off.

Wait a minute...if density is like that--! I realized and turned to Shaila.

"And guess what? A low-density Soul cannot absorb a higher density one like Rayan's." I reveal the conundrum.

"Ugh... Can't you give me good news? Is there a chance you could be wrong? What about that fifth-dimensional creature?" Shaila complained with a sour mood.

"Can't trust that. Time is tricky...it could be all I needed to see." I doubted.

"Tch!" She clicked her tongue and twisted the lips.

"HUum... Tell me... Is it really worth it? How exactly does the dragon half benefits from absorbing a low density Soul which doesn't even provide him with all memories??" Erina interjected.

"Hmm... I can't tell you the main reason, but it's faster to refine a Soul than Magic expanding the capacity for information which is VERY important for Magic arts, AND affinities. Beasts have an advantage over smaller races because the Soul capacity is proportional to the Spirit volume like a big tree with bigger roots." I elaborated.

"WUOH! Then, you can reap all the benefits from that dragon half, AND get back some of what was lost. You just need to hide and rank up, or maybe ally with other Soul pieces..." She announced.

"What's the use? He'll find me before I become strong enough just as he has in the past. Plus, he has an army of Divines..." I countered depressingly.

"Wait...Spirit...Soul capacity..." The white-haired girl ponders. "Do large bodies contribute to Soul Growth??!" She asked wide-eyed.

"Logic dictates it as such from what Guardian said, and my observations...it was a good choice to become a Dragon, but it also made me into the perfect lifestock." I explained.

"It makes sense... Dragons don't seem to have a growth limit, so maybe their Ancients discovered this and experimented in secret... Other creatures might know as well, but they may not find it worth the trouble.... I don't recall father mentioning such perk...he was rather ignorant for a Divine, eh?" Erina wonders.

"All the more reason to become a beast!" The wolf girl asserted.

"Well, smaller creatures can achieve immortal Ranks easier than beasts, and Soul capacity increases over time anyway, so not every creature would benefit." I compared.

"Don't care! I want a huuuuge beast body, NOW!" Shaila demanded.

"Haha. Not so fast girly. Remember that mass is a huuuuge problem for living organisms. Although Dragons aren't too heavy for our size, Erina here weights many tons, and her hide is...well, I can't chew through, but there IS a point where size becomes an issue for the Rank." I reminded with a comparison.

"Are you calling me fat? I'll squash you!" The golden wolf said and pressed my head against the floor.

"OMPHHH! Come on, you giant dog!" I protested struggling under the large paw.

"WUO? More insult?" She said and pressed harder.

"Pfft! Nefi, calling a Beast 'fat' usually means they are lazy. Hehe. But Erina is quite lean and muscular. I envy her~" Shaila explained mockingly.

"...Thank you." Erina said and released me. "...It's not about weight. You'll notice at Rank 7 how the flesh toughens with Magic, and at Divine, it doesn't feel like flesh anymore..." She described.

So... Energy threads adding to the atomic bond increase the tensile strength? I wondered.

"That's nice... But I didn't call you fat! Do you even know what a ton is? Huuuh? Also, cyborgs are naturally heavy--Omph!" I complained before the large paw dropped on me again.

"I can't imagine how you must feel in a human body this small and frail..." She ignored me and addressed the human girl.

"Powerless since I was little. I was abused by people and now surrounded by large beasts that could crush me by accident." She recounted.

"I see..." The large beast kindgly said in understanding. "I'm still waiting for this Dragon to abuse me, but he's too much of a coward." She announced grinding her paw on my head.

"You bitch!" I swore annoyed.

"Hehe. That's because he sees you as a Dog--A pet from his world, a lesser being." The girl disclosured.

"Oiii, Shaila!" I protested.

"Interesting. So, there are actually three barriers between us..." The goldne wolf contemplated.

"At least you can still satisfy him... Me? How does he say it? Oh, yes--I'm fucking useless!" The girl pointed out and cursed in english.

"...You approve? But he's your companion, your partner..." Erina asked surprised and lifted her paw to free me.

"Yes. I don't have the right to monopolize him. We are alive because of you while I just got saved...again--I am the pet!" She declared gripping her little fists.

"I'm glad, I helped. But don't feel frustrated...there's always something that only you can do." Erina adviced.

"...I believe Shaila is human for a reason." I announced.

"But-but...a beast body is better..." The girl stammered.

"Perhaps. But your current form isn't a waste. For you see, protecting the flesh is more important than you might think--" I comforted.

"Isn't that obvious?" The girl retorted.

"EVEN for immortal rankers." I empathized.

"...Huhh??" She uttered tilting her head.

"From what I gather... if a Divine Soul takes certain damage, runs out of Mana, or the consciousness stops, then it will degrade, but without a vessel producing lifeforce to bind it--it's essentially death. Unless another force acts upon an unstable Soul, it will slip out of the dimension losing memories and Spirit progress before seeking a compatible body to start over." I explained.

"WUO!? That's why the Firefox destroyed Father's body first!" The earthen wolf associated.

"Umm... I see now. Divines and Demigods wear armors in humanoid bodies for protection and survival insurance...a body is needed to recover Spiritual damage." The girl concluded and looked over me. "And Dragons are already protected...if only you had the tougher scales from a bloodline... Well, at least, Erina helps you enhance them." She said inspecting the patched holes.

"Faust's right. You should stay in a humanoid body to wear armors. Oh, and, don't worry about Soul growth... You ARE an Ancient beast, so the entirety of your Soul will materialize at Divine Rank." I encouraged.

"Good for you, Shimmer!" Erina congratulated.

"Naizu!" The light user fist-pumped.

"However...it won't be that easy." I added, transforming the smile of the girl.

"Geh! Can't you stay positive for a minute?" She reproved.

"It's not my fault that you are old as fuck! I'll call you Olg Hag." I jested.

"Geh! Don't you dare! I'm a lady! Hmph!" The wolf girl protested and turned to the golden wolf's head. "You see, Erina, what I have to put up with?" She complained.

"Listen here, you. A whole two thousand years of progress will take you a LOT of work to completely manifest with a human vessel, and don't you dare interrupt the process early out of laziness." I lectured.

"Woahhh... I can do that? What happens if I do?" She inquired.

"You should... A materialization brings forth the soul completely, so you could cut it off and abandon a portion of it...probably." I replied.

"Un. I'll take my time." She accepted and nodded solemnly.

"Don't you worry, Shimmer. I'll improve any protectors made by humans that fit you, and we'll make sure it's safe for you to reach Divine Rank and create a body." The earthen beast offered.

"Erina... Thank you!" She said with gratitude.

"MM. You and I must get along well. No more petty rivalries." The beast decided.

"Agreed. You are a reasonable wolf...unlike some..." Shaila affirmed looking at the wind user.

"It's good that you girls can get along because Shaila will be teaching in my place." I announced.

"Huh? What about Father's plan?" Shaila questioned confused.

"Forget that. Stay with the wolves from now on." I commanded.

"...Ehhh? Why does this sound like a goodbye?" The girl interpreted.

"I see no problem..." The high ranked consented. "But where are you flying off to now?" She probed.

"I'm going to find Urifen. He should be near this kingdom..." I answered.

"Ah! Right, right... If someone could understand, it'd be him." The light user understood.

"Exactly. But what you don't know is that in the dream, I waited for Urifen to die, so we could meet." I revealed

"Ohhh! You had a meeting..." Shaila presumes. "But did he forgive you?" She questioned worried.

"Ha! Like it matters when we are approaching Rayan's End-Game." I scoffed.

"Wha--? Are you saying he doesn't need you two anymore?" Shaila assumed.

"I'm going to asume the worse-case-scenario because Urifen dying means he either managed to commit suicide, or Rayan got too greedy and made a mistake...but he has yet to take the most important thing to win." I conjectured.

"And that is?" The girl questioned narrowing her eyes.

"The Celestial Fragment." I replied. "Why do I still have it if we are all the same Soul?" I posed.

"...AHH! True...Why is that?" She realized and asked.

"Not sure." I shrugged. "Perhaps the original Soul was superior enough to keep a Piece from claiming ownership, or the Fragment doesn't recognize their self-awareness, or maybe Rayan just allowed me to keep it. I can't be sure." I elaborated.

"So... You two planned to do something about it?" Shaila asked tapping my scales.

"Oh-yeah...being born from low tier Dragons near a desperate wolf tribe, and close to my White Wolf Mate who reincarnated as a Human Noble where I would become a slave to have an early awakening and not waste any time figuring out everything..." I described.

"Wha-what are you saying...?" She stammered asking.

"I watched your whole life to make sure you could be trusted, but then, you were raped, and became an easy target to manipulate... We planned to use all of you to break the loop..." I revealed looking at those present.
