"What do you mean You'll be watching me?" Alexis said confused.
"Since I admitted you of my own accord, The Dean said you are my responsibility, she also was very interested after hearing your story so she asked me to say she wanted to meet you."
"Oh yes of course, but wouldn't you say you're drawing too much attention to me considering my information is supposed to be secret? I wonder if you realize how popular you are?"
"As long as you don't say anything it won't matter, we three are the only ones who know."
"But that see-" Before she could finish speaking The next teacher walked in, switching everyone's attention to the front.
"Welcome back to Fundamentals of ma-" He paused his sentence as his eyes laid on Lucas before coming back to his senses and moving on with his lecture.
"See, you're already bringing too much attention." She said before focusing on the teacher, writing down notes just as she had done before.
"Mages evolve based on the number of circles in their body, a circle enables the body to take in more mana but when making a new circle. You cannot be interrupted or else your mana veins can
overload at the sudden increase of mana with a broken Circle leading to a vein explosion. The known limit is 9 Circles, each circle representing a stage of spells you are capable of using until the Ninth stage, and that was accomplished by our very own dean. Ashala Aspen." The teacher lectured.
As the class drew near its end the teacher changed topics.
"One last thing, tomorrow will be a joint class with the Aura Fundamentals course into the Whispering Forest for a friendly competition!"
The class finished quickly as did the rest of the classes. Lucas followed behind until the school day was over. Now heading to the dean's office.
"How did you feel about your first day of school?" Lucas asked as they walked.
"It was fun, the world really has changed so much, mana to cast spells, monsters that can destroy a continent. It's so far off from my ordinary life It's overwhelmingly terrifying."
"What was the world like back then? Before monsters and magic..." Lucas asked.
"It was peaceful, with magic and monsters no more than books and legends. I had an amazing family, I was about to go to college, and my brother..." She fell silent, trying her best to hold back tears of grief. As they arrived at the dean's door.

Lucas walked behind being silent, letting Alexis have her time before they went inside.
"Alright let's go in," Alexis said opening the door herself.
Ashala looked up at Alexis and Lucas, putting her pen down and standing up.
"Hello, Miss Ashala."
"Hello Lucas, and you must be Alexis." She said as she stared closely.
Alexis looked at Ashala, she was beautiful, her hair platinum, her eyes a scarlet red. Her lips plump and full of color. Her looks were far from the age she was.
"Please sit, I feel we have a lot to talk about."
The three sat around a table, Ashala sitting directly across from Alexis.
"So...you say you were in 2023 a week ago, then you were suddenly here the day the monsters invaded. You also have question marks in your Command Line?"
"Yeah, I was about to be killed by that thing called a Talisar, so I closed my eyes in fear, but nothing happened, so I opened my eyes again but instead of the alley I was in, I was in the halls of this school. And when Lucas showed me how to open my Command Line and it finished connecting, some information is question marks."
"Fascinating, so not only did you come from the past, not even of your own accord, your command line isn't displaying everything. Lucas was right to enroll you here, I'd like to be informed of any updates you may have. You can head back to your dorm, but Lucas, stay here I'd like to talk more privately."
"Yes ma'am." She nodded as she got up and walked away, waving to Lucas behind her.
...
"She wasn't lying, everything she said was true..." Ashala said while leaning back.
"How can you be sure?" Lucas asked slightly confused.
"There are two things, I used a spell, and unless she had stronger mana than me it would be impossible for her to lie."
"What's the other thing then?"
"That's the thing, I'm not sure what it is."
Placing her hand on the table an orb appeared showing the halls of the school. they sat watching for a minute as it played before a crack appeared spreading, warping the vision the magic produced. Then Alexis was suddenly standing there, eyes closed trembling, before opening her eyes and looking around in confusion.
"W-what did I just watch?" Lucas asked confused.
"I'm not sure either, but everything is pointing to her telling the truth. But I feel she is the cause, her class must have had something to do with it and she used it without knowing."
"But to be able to do something like that without knowing, would mean she has a exponential amount of power."
Ashala nodded and went back to her desk.
"Keep watching over her, if something happens to her it can become dangerous, you can go now."
"Yes ma'am." He said as he left, Ashala leaned back as she stared at the orb rewinding it again and again.
"Just who are you, Alexis...A storm may be coming, and I wonder how close to the center you will be."
...
Alexis laid on her bed staring at the ceiling, the days without sleep had begun catching up to her, but she refused to as to not dream again, the idea of it terrified her, making sure to keep her eyes open no matter what.
"Magic huh...I wonder if I can use magic eventually."
Almost as if it was listening a message appeared in front of her.
