"No," I whispered.

[Request accepted]

"? What was that supposed to mean?" I was confused because I thought even if I chose [No] the game would start anyway. "So what does the system mean by [request accepted]?" I thought.

Well, I didn't have to wait for the answer. Suddenly in front of me, a black hole appeared. It created a strong pull that sucked me into it. Seemed like I was traveling to another space by flowing in the black hole. Well actually, it is not a 'black hole' because as I was traveling, I saw happy memories of me when I was 'living'.

Tears flowed from my eyes without me noticing it. I saw memories of my parents. When we talked, traveled, and when I pranked them. My heart for the first time felt so much warmth.

I was emotionally watching those memories, but then lights started to appear, and moments after I saw nothing. It seemed like I had landed somewhere because my body was not flowing anymore, and I am on my back with something on my face.

I quickly removed the thing and it was a white blanket. My heart immediately beat faster, "Is this what I think it is?" I turned my head quickly. I was in the hospital! That meant I am still living. I was so happy thinking of that and quickly jumped off the bed with thoughts of finding my parents. But then I noticed something.

"Why am I so light?" I asked and turned down to look at myself.

My body was transparent.

I turned back to the bed to realize that I am now only a spirit. I was about to curse at the game system again, but after a close look, I saw that my body had started to decompose. My face had deformed and my skin was rotting. Even if it wanted to, the system couldn't have put me back to my body anyway. A thought that ran through my mind when looking at my decomposing body was,

"If I didn't waste those three days, maybe… just maybe."

Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.

I kept looking at my body and fell silent. The same thought kept circling around my head as it will forever haunt me.

A shadow suddenly appeared behind me and I turned to look who had come. It was my parents, along with a doctor and nurse. Dad seemed calmer than mom. Her eyes were red and she was still sobbing when I saw her.

"I am very sorry, but we can't extend the time for his body to stay here anymore. It is showing signs of decomposition and we need the space for others too," the doctor said sincerely.

"We know. Today my wife and I came here to see him for the last time," my dad said with an exhausted voice.

"Why did my boy have to die like this?" mom cried.

"Don't be sad, things happened. We are just unlucky," dad hugged mom.

"Unlucky!? So my death was just unlucky!? It was nothing more than just unlucky!?" I was angry when I heard my dad say that. It wasn't because he was taking my death lightly. I was angry because what he said was true. I can't do anything but laughed bitterly.

"Mom, dad. I'm here. Can you see me?" I said, but there was no reaction from them.

"Thank you, doctor. We will leave now. Please take care of him well," dad said and bowed to the doctor.

"Mom, dad," I was afraid that I laughed. "Haha. Why are you doing this to me? Why are you guys ignoring me?"

"We are truly sorry. We have tried our best," the doctor bowed as well. My dad nodded.

"Let's leave now," dad held mom's hands and started to walk away.

"Wait! What about me? Don't leave me!" I cried and ran to them. I tried everything to get their attention: yelling, funny expressions, even tried to punch them. But no reaction. I have to witness my parents slowly walking painfully in front of me and I couldn't do anything about it.

"Notice me! Please notice me!" I cried desperately.

You couldn't imagine how soul-crushing it was. I cried as if I will never have a chance to cry again, yelling and yelling out of desperation. I knew at the time that they couldn't see me. Looking back, I have seen this scenario in so many movies. But I never, never, think that I will be in this situation at all. Suddenly those cliche reactions from the main characters didn't seem cliche anymore.

"Honey. Are you hearing something?" mom suddenly asked dad.

"I don't hear, but feel something weird," dad replied

"They can feel it! They can feel it!" I was so happy. "Me! It's me! it's…"

Suddenly, my spine shivers from noticing something. As I turned back, I was knocked out by what I saw, followed by a scream that should have torn my throat.

"WHY ARE YOU HERE BLACK HOLE!!!?"

The black hole appeared out of nowhere. It was as though I was brought back from hell when my parents said they felt something, and the black hole being the demon coming to pull me back.

I tried to resist. Hands were flying and feet swinging. But the black hole as though doesn't have a mind of its own. It heartlessly and slowly pulled me back inside no matter how much I was crying and begging for it, "PLEASE, SYSTEM, BLACK HOLE, GOD OR WHOEVER YOU ARE, EVEN AS A GHOST, LET ME STAY HERE!"

Then, a piece of my paper fell out because of me swinging everywhere. The paper hit my mom's face and she FELT IT. Before I was fully consumed by the black hole, I heard their voice,

"Woah. This thing is out of nowhere," mom was surprised.

"Let me help you," my dad removed the paper off her face.

"Hey, honey. Is this yours?" my dad breathed heavily when he looked at the paper.

"No. It came from nowhere. What's wrong?" mom asked.

"On the paper it said…"
