[You have encountered a boss] the system displayed.
What in the world is this? I was extremely shocked. Who the hell in their right mind would make the new player fighting a boss right at the beginning of the game? After reading the message, the surroundings changed immediately. I was suddenly teleported to a large room with a ceiling that is higher than my future.
The boss was right in front of me too, but its appearance was hidden because of the mist surrounding it. I instantly open the inventory tab to find a weapon or something to fight. It was empty.
EMPTY??? Hey game maker! Can we have a talk here? Even Dark Souls gives players weapons to start with. What do you expect of me? A gaming genius? I was about to give up before I even started. But then I thought,
"This is my second chance. At least try so there are no regrets after." Thinking that I looked around to find anything at all that can be used as a weapon. At my far right, I saw a metal stick. Great! That can be used as a weapon. I rushed there and tried to pick it up.
[Too heavy]
Is this body weaker than a normal person or is this metal stick stupidly heavier than it looks?
I abandoned the metal stick at once because I know that my strength right now is not enough to wield it. I then noticed and picked up a thick wood stick nearby. I quickly looked back to the boss and "JESUS CHRIST WHY ARE YOU SO CLOSE?" I jumped back instinctively. My nerves turned to the max level and I anxiously wait for it to make a move.
Oh, it did move... like a snail. It just casually slowly walking towards me like taking a stroll.
"Strange, how did it approach me that fast a while ago?" I questioned myself. I then came up with a theory and wanted to test it out. So I turned my head away then immediately turned back.
"Woah! The distance decreased real quick. So it plays those kinds of games where turning away will make the boss move faster. But what is the good of me knowing this? Should I just wait for it to come and attack or should I rush first?"
Millions of questions circles around my head so I just decided to take the risk first. I ran to the boss and a feeling of a kick got on my side. I was flying across the room.
"???" What is this? Is this boss's ability some kind of invisible attack? Let's test to see. I ran up again and was ready mentally for the kick on the side again, but this time it was the stomach. I couldn't breathe after that kick and collapsed on the floor.

"So it knows to switch up places." This really feels like a boss. The thing that irritated me wasn't because of how difficult the boss was... well a little bit, but the fact that if I don't kill it I will have to stay here forever. I could just look at it and back away, but there was no food so doing that would be suicide.
I looked at my health bar, and I was down half already. I have been careless and didn't pay attention at all to my health bar that it got so low. But that also meant two more direct hits and I will have to say bye-bye to this second life.
Instead of taking another charge, I open the skill tab to see if there is anything helpful. There are dozens of skills but were all locked. "What is this? A free skill? Well, that is the only skill that I can unlock right now so let's see."
/*
[Skill: Wisdom of the Senses]
[The user has to understand and master their body to unlock this skill. When activated, the users can enhance all of their senses for 1 minute. Cooldown 30 minutes.]
*/
This skill is for me. I don't know if this is weird or not, but when I was 'living', I loved the idea of meditation to understand yourself. At least that is how I interpreted meditation. So of course, I understand my body. I know my weaknesses and strengths, and I am not ashamed to talk about them. Wait, why am I rambling? You are here for the fight.
"Activate," I whispered and collapsed once again. This time not because of a surprise attack by the boss, but because of the overwhelmed amount of information my brain was taking.
Everything was so bright and detailed that I could see strands of lights in the room. The smell of my clothes, body, the boss, the room, the wood, I was able to distinguish them individually. The feeling of the fabric on my skin, the small difference in temperature in the room, I felt that. With the sounds of the mist, the boss walking, and the internal activities inside of my body, I heard them all. And the taste, it tasted like… saliva. What else do you think I could have in my mouth?
I charged the boss again, this time there was something different. I could see his attack. Don't get me wrong it was still invisible, but this time because my eyes were enhanced so much that I was able to see the wind whooshing toward me.
"That was a sidekick!" I immediately lowered my body to dogged it and continued running at it. This time it was not a sidekick anymore. I heard something on top of my heading coming down. "An ax kick this time," I rolled left before it hit the ground. The floor cracked from just one kick! I was sure that my health bar would hit zero without a second hit if that touches me.
I then ran inside the fog and stopped. I can not see anything anymore even with this eyesight. Looking at the timer, "Only ten seconds left!". I was desperately running around to find the boss.
Luckily I found it quickly like four or five seconds. What was in front of me was… a huge metal ball. How am I supposed to inflict damage to that with just a wooden stick? But then I saw some kind of a red light glowing at the top of the ball.
With two seconds left I marathoned to it and stabbed the wooden stick in. The stick went through smoothly and nothing happened after that for a while. I closed my eyes, anxious for what could happen next.
[Congratulations. You have defeated a boss]
"?" That easy? I was confused. Then I open my eyes looked back to see there were hundreds of weapons behind me lying on the floor. I realized that if I had hit the wrong spot, those things would have gotten me from behind.
I felt relieved that I was so lucky but then asked myself how did I able to see the red spot? Surely it wasn't in the boss mechanism because then it would be too easy to defeat it. I opened the skill tab and read the skill again. I then saw a very very small line at the bottom of the description.
/*
[Wisdom of the senses]: hidden ability, the user can see where the weak spots of the opponent are.
*/
I didn't question why such an important line was displayed so small because I was too tired. I rested for a bit and the system appeared again. This time it showed something different. It showed a video clip of a woman and a man crying. My eyes were so tired after the skill wore off that I couldn't see clearly who they were. I zoomed in on the video and my heart sank.
They were… my parents. And they were crying over my dead body that was covered up.
[Are you sure you want to start the game?]
