“Howell, stop joking with me,” I said. Howell then said, “That look you had in your eye… while you massacred those people, was a look of pure sadism. If I had known this was your hobby I would have stayed away from you”. At that moment I realised. “Shit. That other part of me gained control,” I said. “Am I really going to spend the rest of my days sulking in jail for something I didn’t do?… After everything I’ve been through, it all accounted for nothing. Are you serious, God? If this is what you had planned for me… Screw this shit,” I said. I tried using causality warping. Suddenly a message popped up saying, “Due to your overuse of causality control, you will now need to say what happens out loud,”. I then said “Revive all these people,”.
A message popped up. “Due to your overuse of causality-warping, you now require potency levels to use it. Reviving people has a potency level requirement of 30%”. “Hurting is a lot easier than healing,” the system quoted. “Since when did you quote stu-”. I was interrupted by a gunshot to my hand. Howell then replied, “We’re still here you know?” before shooting a fireball to my face and then stopping the burning. “Why Dom? First my brother… Now you? I want to kill you. You deserve to die. But I can’t bring myself to do it. After all, you were one of my few real friends,” Howell said before walking away from me and then jumping onto one of 5 storey buildings. Suddenly in the background I heard some noise. It sounded like something hitting metal. My sister had broken out of the van she was in.
She ran quickly towards me - dodging bullets and even knocked out all the cops - and hugged me. “That person just now. I know for a matter of a fact that wasn’t you,”. I still stared ahead with a blank expression after Howell’s words. I didn’t know how to react. Should I have been sad? Should I have been disappointed? I couldn’t have processed everything like that so fast. In fact I couldn’t process anything at all. I kept on hearing a voice in my head the entire time. “Kill them. Everyone dies anyway. There’s nothing wrong with killing them early. Am I wrong or am I right?” It kept echoing. The overload of information caused me to feel very tired. I then looked up at the sky. The sky was red. Heh. The colour of blood… It almost felt as if the weather was moving for me.

My sister picked me up in her arms and started running away from the scene. A helicopter suddenly came in and fired a rocket at us. I thought we were a goner at that moment but then my sister jumped on the rocket straight onto the helicopter and cut it in half before jumping onto the roof of a building. I was surprised. “I’m willing to sacrifice everything for you, brother. Just like how you would for me. Up until now you’ve been handling everything by yourself. Let me shoulder the burden with you. Promise me this. You won’t burden yourself anymore” she said. I tried to lift up my hand to signify a thumbs up but it refused to move. I then muttered, “Ok,”. My sister quickly ran into an alleyway. “Brother there’s something I never told you. ‘Sword God’ isn’t my only skill,” she said whilst charging into a wall. “I also have the skill known as ‘Tangibility Control’. I can turn whatever I want intangible and tangible whenever I want”.
I couldn’t really respond since I was just about to knock out. When I woke up, I was on a bed. Again. When I woke up I saw my sister sleeping next to me. I looked at her long, black, silky hair. It was a lot longer from what I had remembered. I then saw we had a nice, small apartment with no door. She must access it using her ‘Tangibility Control’. Just then she opened her eyes. I saw her yellow eyes for the first time in a while. At least that’s what it felt like. Her eyes widened when she saw my eyes open. “Brother? It’s been a while”. Her voice came out differently than expected. She sounded… older. “Tesha… Is that you?” I asked her. “Yes. Brother. It is indeed me. Can you not recognise your sister?” she asked me.
“Well I can guess that it's you from your hair and eyes but you still sound and look completely different,” I said. “Well maybe because it’s been about 2 years since you fell asleep,” she said. “WHAT. Don’t play with me,” I said. “You should really take a look at yourself,” she said, taking a mirror from somewhere, whilst getting up. She passed me the mirror and I looked at myself. I still had the same green eyes. But my hair and beard were completely overgrown. “This is some kind of trick right?” I asked Tesha. “Nope. You should probably get that beard trimmed though. Probably your hair too,” she said.
