Life for the Mine dwellers Continued on after the Seirei were exiled from the mountain
Winter grew colder and the snows began to blow harder
Cliff split his time between mining and smelting increasing his class level and skills and a fast pace
Thankfully one of the Anan hunters named Noah was able to get to level 50 and he changed his class to Miner.
This thankfully freed time up for Cliff, what with not having to do room digging and Cliff now had a huge pile of ore that kept growing bigger each day.
My mid winter Cliff finally fully levelled his Smelting class

Today was the day! Cliff can now finally choose a smithing class! Though the question is which one? It would be so cool to smith a legendary sword or spear, ooh maybe recreate Captain Americas shield. But after deliberation many of the tasks that are done around the mountain are usually stalled by not having the proper tools.
Understanding the need he chose Toolsmith
Class: Tool Smith
Per level grants +3 STR +3 END +1 INT +1 WIS
Unlocked skills
Beginner Tool Smithing lvl1- grants beginner knowledge on tool smithing
Beginner Mold sculpting lvl 1- allows beginner molds be made
Beginner tool Smith sight lvl 1-while touching finished tool allows minor flaws to be seen
Elated with the new Class skills and stats, Cliff ran to the ingot warehouse and grabbed his worst copper and tin that was still sitting at 60%
After making bronze which was a lot better than the past times, Cliff then prepared a Hammer head mold along with molds for new Crucibles.
After pouring the bronze he then looked around for Tian the Scribe who chose a wood carver for her second class. Finding her he commissioned a foot long handle to be made.
Returning to his smeltery he then found iron ingots still at 75% and began melting and pouring it into the crucible molds
It was as he began making and pouring more tool molds for axes, pickaxes, and shovels that Tian came around with a handle made from Golden Cherry.
Thanking her he asked her to begin the mass production of tool handles
If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it.
Tian smiled in agreement but asked that she receive a new set of wood carving tools and a nice desk for her scribing.
These were pretty cheap asks so he did not deny her.
Fastening the handle to the new hammer he then was able to use Beginner Toolsmith sight observing it he saw not only could he observe the Metal but also the wood of the handle.
Inspecting it he saw that the head had micro fractures in the very center of the metal and what looked to be air bubbles, this was probably altered the weight from what he was expecting. The handle was mostly fine except for the base of the handle which had a huge spidering of cracks. This made him expect to need a new handle after a few uses.
Yes, he should want a better handle but everyone is new to this world and their classes, He was fine with them learning from each mistake and not give them shit for it.
To be ready for the coming spring Cliff went about making some pig iron farm tools
Starting out he made some hoes, adzes, and some primitive human pulling plows.
As he banged away at iron and poured bronze, he could distinctly feel knowledge pouring into his brain as his smithing skills levelled. He could also see the affect that his improving wisdom had on his ability to use the downloaded information.
After making enough tools for everyone in the mountain to have 5 pairs, Cliff then began the arduous job of nail making.
Here he only used Iron.
They were fairly simple to make after working out the proper size and width
They weren’t like modern ones. These were about 3 inches to 4 inches long and about 5 times thicker than a regular modern-day nail
As stated, before they were easy to make, but he could not simply pour them into a mold. They just wouldn’t be strong enough and the nail would be too dull at the point.
So, each one had to be made individually
So far, the process sat at 5 minutes a nail, that was to both heat the iron and then to bang out the shape.
After a week of just mass-producing iron nails Cliff managed to unlock a neat little skill.
Beginner Mass Produce Tool-small lvl 1: while touching non alloy metal material can mass produce items below 6 inches cubed in mass quantity at poor quality with waste of 98% material.at cost of mana (each item to be massed produced must first be done by handy hand]
Now this skill like many others was absolutely terrible at level 1 but with a little work and lots of time this skill could potentially mass produce axes and plows, Cliff could just imagine the amount of time he would save. Just think he could hopefully gain the same skill in weapon smithing!
The first time using the skill Mass Produce Tool-small Cliff almost cried
By using 100 pounds of Iron, he could make 2 pounds of Nails
This was absolutely depressing but the worse part was that experience was earned by use not amount produced. So, Mass Produce Tool-small sat at [1/10]
But thankfully each produced nail still gave experience to his class albeit it was a negligible sum barely 5% of 1 exp per nail.
Mass Produce Tool-small also allowed him to make strips of metal and wiring, this would be nice for when he needed to make fences and Barrels.
After making 500 nails through the new skill Cliff then began creating a few hand planes for the wood workers. The main bodies had to be done by hand but thankfully the blades could be massed produced.
Taking a look at the skill after levelling up to level 3
Beginner Mass Produce Tool-small lvl 3: while touching non alloy metal material can mass produce items below 6 inches cubed in mass quantity at poor quality with waste of 94% material.at cost of mana (each item to be massed produced must first be done by handy hand]
This was good news. Yes, the massed produced objects were poor quality but hopefully when it ranked up it would go to decent or even Average quality.

After another month Cooped up in the mountain mining, smelting and smithing.
The weather has begun to warm
Setting aside his hammer, Cliff and the rest of the men gathered up the axes and plows.
It was now their goal to remove stumps and prepare fields for the Farmers to begin planting when the frost has finally left.
The plan was to Clear a large patch of 2 acres this year. Yes they only had seed to cover 1/10th of an acre, but this should leave enough room that with the Accelerated growth skills of the Herbalist and Farmer hopefully 1 full acre can be replanted before next winter.
Sweating and grunting Cliff hacked at the roots of a Blood maple.
The bloody sap stunk to high heavens and it splashed all over him. He couldn’t stop for this had to be done.
Finishing up with the outer roots, Cliff tied a rope to the stump. Shouting to the people at the end of the rope “Hey Ram! Start pulling and I will cut the tap root!”
Ram and the other Anan began pulling.
Stooping beneath the Stump he began to hack but could not help but think
“No matter how much I have improved in strength, skill, knowledge and way of life, it is just not me improving. But the other People, animals and even plants also grow in strength. Not only is wood denser here but some Bark wont even let the Iron or Bronze cut through!”
Day in and Day out Cliff and half of the Anan cleared the Stumps while Fost, Phynn and the others began plowing the field and removing shrubs and rocks.
Cliff grumbled a bit at this. He thought that travelling to a new world he would not have to do tedious farm work like picking stones ever again! But here they were, and there was no tractor bucket to help them along.
But as much as Cliff hated this kind of work, he would not trade it back for his old life. Taxes, minimum wage job, constant studying and Modern day political/social issues.
Here in Yarnam, not only did he own land, but a Whole Motherfucking Mountain! He couldn’t help but let out his inner Samuel L. Jackson at this thought. Since this was His land, what ever he decided became the rule. Though there has not really been any other rule than don’t cause trouble.
Patting his side and grabbing a water sack, he could not help but marvel at his new clothes that were made by Tian the Anan.
He still wore the Apron, but now he had Leather overalls with suspenders and a nice new belt that held his water sac, axe and Hammer.
He was living the life!
As the sun began to set, everyone began packing up and heading inside.
Just as the last body passed the threshold a Warm Breeze began to blow and a Torrential rain began to fall
For three day and nights it Rained.
It rained so much that some of the tunnels became flooded.
But thankfully no one got hurt.
It was on the 4th day that Fost, Phynn and Cliff sat outside under the clear night beside a fire, and eating groundhog.
“During this whole winter not only have I not seen those exiled Seirei but neither have I seen any other intelligent species from the Original planets.” Said Phynn
“If you are serious about building a kingdom here, do you want us to go look for people and tell them to come here?” continued Phynn
“I am serious about making a kingdom, but before we get more people here, I want to Change the Tunnels into an actual city! Build rooms out of stone, build homes, forges, a tannery, bakery! I want the full works before we get more people here.” Said Cliff
“That’s all well and good but we need more people and the proper Classes/skills to get that kind of task done. With the Fields almost Cleared Myself and a few others can look for a town to hopefully trade for more seed and maybe people,” said Fost.
“That’s a good idea, maybe they could trade those extra tools you made.” Said Phynn.
“I don’t mind you using them, but My tools are still on the poor side of quality barely making it to average. Would anyone even trade for them?”
“They might not be worth a lot, but with everyone being displaced from their homes and wealth I am sure somebody is willing to pay something for tools of Poor quality.”
Cliff nodded in both understanding and Agreement “SO if we are going to make a kingdom, could you look for people willing to take on a Secretarial role, also a merchant would be helpful”
Fost Nodded “Yeah, I can do that, but I think Rein the Scribe and Maij the Acolyte would be interested in taking over a governmental role. I could point them towards you if they are.”
Fost Continued “that does remind me, Rein Mentioned that she wanted to start a Library and Write down Information that all of Us have from our old worlds. Along with that she wants to make books about our skills and what they do along with what class. She really wants to leave a legacy to future descendants.”
Cliff and Phynn smiled at the thought of leaving a legacy.

A week Passes
Fost and 3 Others Could be seen Pulling 2 Newly made wagons full of Tools.
Choosing a random direction, they decided to head South east.
Unfortunately, No one knew when the four would ever return but remained hopeful that it would be soon.
