DɆMØN/TɆN

A few weeks would pass and everyone would be sitting in the DDF meeting room. Shu would be sitting next to Matsushima. Shu’s hair would be tied into a ponytail. He would have a futuristic metal cast on his left leg. A man wearing a black bomber jacket walked over to the podium from a back room.

“Good morning everyone, I would like to introduce myself.” The man said. Shu looked up at him, unimpressed.

“I am Akira Mochizuki, your operative War General… I will also be running your training in collaboration with Ms. Samada…” Akira said.

“But before that, I’m here to inform you on your first assignment from the 6 Heads,” Akira said. Shu looked over at Matsushima in confusion.

“What the hell are the ‘6 Heads’?” Shu asked. Matsushita sighed,

“Remember when you, me, and Ms. Samada first arrived here?” Matsushima asked. Shu nodded,

“They were the people talking on the screens with the numbers on them,” Matsushita explained. Shu nodded,

“Why do they hide their faces? Are they scared of confrontation?” Shu asked. Matsushima looked at Shu as if he were stupid.

“Not, if you got into a fight with them, they would wipe you from existence,” Matsushima said. Shu shrugged,

“You’re overreacting…” Shu said. Matsushima chuckled,

“Believe what you want.” Matsushima said. Akira cleared his throat,

“This will be your first assignment, so listen 'cause I’m not repeating myself…” Akira said. Shu looked up at Akira, vaguely paying attention.

“The 6 Heads are sending you all out to retrieve an object we’ve been hunting for years but not been able to get our hands on… People have recommended sending out War General’s to retrieve it but that’s never been realistic… But thanks to the formation of your group, this makes things a little more possible.” Akira said.

“Now I have a question for you all…” Akira said. Shu raised a brow,

“Have you heard about the King Of The Demons?” Akira asked. He looked around expecting an answer. It would be silent before Matsushima spoke up,

“Ingrozath, The 3rd King Of Demons, has been ruling the ‘Demon Realm’ for nearly half a century, according to rumors…”

”After The Blank Hour, he tried entering the Human Realm, or what we call Earth… Thanks to a special group of people, known as The 6 Heads, banished Ingrozath to the Demon Realm for eternity.” Matsushima finished. Akira nodded,

“At least one of you has been reading their books…” Akira said.

“What The Heads, want you to retrieve, is this…” Akira said. The screen behind him showed a sword with a silver handle and a black blade with the blade having what resembled thorns.

“This is Ingrozath’s Cursed Sword Of Thorns…”

“It was the sword he used in the fight against The Heads… It’s currently held up in the abandoned Shin-Yamaguchi Station…” Akira said.

“You have supplies ready in the armory, we expect you to head out as soon as possible… Dismissed.” Akira said. Everyone stood up, walking toward the exit of the room.

“Demon-boy, you stay, I want a word…” Akira said. Shu scoffed, turning and walking over to Akira. Shu looked up at Akira, raising a brow.

“You got carried away during that training… You need to know your place in this group…” Akira said. Shu scoffed,

“I’ll take your orders for now…” Shu said, turning and walking toward the exit. He stopped before exiting and looked back at Akira,

“But after I find my sister, I don’t expect to see your horrific face again…” Shu said, walking out of the room. Shu would walk down the hall and enter the armory. He would grab a backpack, holding it over his shoulder. He walked out of the facility, meeting with the group.

"Remember, you're the last resort..." Akira said to Shu through an earpiece. Shu looked annoyed, pressing on his earpiece, muting it.

"Alright, everyone! We'd better head out, long walk from here!" Matsushima said. A few days would pass as they arrived near Shin-Yamaguchi. They would be in a forest about a mile out from the forest.

“Alright, we don’t know the precise location of the weapon, but we know it’s here…” Kamiko said. Everyone nodded,

“We’re going to split into partners, alright?” Kamiko asked.

“Okay, Ayumi and Keiko, Katashi and Youngjae, Me, Lukas, and Matsushima,” Kamiko said. Shu looked up, raising a brow.

“What about me…?” Shu asked. Kamiko sighed,

“I’ll let Akira explain it to you-” Kamiko said.

“I’m alright, he’s told me enough…” Shu said. Kamiko nodded and they all ran off in different directions toward the station. Shu sighed, grabbing the earpiece out of his ear. He crushed it with two fingers, flicking it away. He sighed, jumping up onto a tree branch and sitting against the tree.

“According to them, they don’t need me… So I’ll just wait till they get back…” Shu said. He put his hands on the back of his head, closing his eyes. Meanwhile, Katashi and Youngjae would walk into the building, casually. Katashi would look around with his hands on the back of his head.

“Place seems pretty empty…” Katashi said. Youngjae sighed,

“백치... (idiot in Korean)” Youngjae said under his breath. In the eerie silence of Shin-Yamaguchi Station, Katashi strutted confidently down the dimly lit hallway, his gloves crackling with pent-up electricity, casting wild shadows on the walls. Beside him, Youngjae walked with quiet determination, his grip steady on his rifle, eyes scanning the surroundings with a calculated intensity.

As they ventured deeper into the abandoned station, Katashi's ego swelled, fueled by the crackling energy at his fingertips. He exuded an air of arrogance, confident in his abilities to vanquish any foe that dared to challenge him. Youngjae, on the other hand, remained stoic and composed, his focus unwavering as he mentally prepared for the impending confrontation.

Suddenly, a low growl echoed through the darkness, causing Katashi's smirk to falter for a moment. But he quickly regained his composure, his ego refusing to be shaken. With a dismissive wave of his hand, he brushed off the threat, ready to face whatever adversary awaited them.

Emerging from the shadows, the demon materialized before them, its towering form imposing and menacing. Katashi's confidence faltered slightly at the sight, but he quickly masked his uncertainty behind a facade of bravado. With a cocky grin, he cracked his knuckles, eager to prove his superiority in combat.

Meanwhile, Youngjae remained calm and collected, his mind already calculating the best course of action. While Katashi unleashed a barrage of lightning bolts with reckless abandon, Youngjae strategically positioned himself, ready to provide support with his rifle.

As the battle unfolded, Katashi's overconfidence proved to be his downfall. With a reckless charge, he found himself cornered by the demon's relentless onslaught. Youngjae, seeing his companion in peril, sprang into action, providing cover fire with his rifle.

But just as they thought victory was within reach, the ground beneath them trembled, and with a deafening crash, the hallway collapsed, separating them. Alone in the darkness, Youngjae's quiet determination burned brighter than ever, while Katashi's ego took a bruising blow. As they faced the relentless demon once more. Youngjae glared at the demon, gritting his teeth.

"How the hell are we supposed to beat this thing...?" Youngjae internalized. Katashi smirked, wiping the blood off his forehead.

"Alright, damn Demon... This is how things are going to go... On my terms...!!" Katashi said.
