“Uhm, I forgot to introduce myself... My name is Kamiko Samada…” Kamiko said. Matsushima nodded,

“Shoichi Matsushima, nice to meet you!” Matsushima said. Shu looked at Matsushima raising a brow,

“Your first name is Shoichi…?” Shu asked. Matsushima looked at Shu in confusion,

“You got a problem with that, Demon-boy?” Matsushima asked. Shu glared at Matsushima.

“What’s his name…?” Kamiko asked. Matsushima shrugged,

“Don’t know… Hell, I don’t even think he knows…” Matsushima said. Kamiko raised a brow in confusion.

“That's weird… Anyways, where were you guys headed…?” Kamiko asked.

“We’re headed to Kyoto but then that demon attacked us…” Matsushima said. Kamiko raised a brow,

“Why Kyoto…?” She asked. Matsushima pointed at Shu.

“He’s looking for his sister and I’m helping him get in there…” Matsushima said. Kamiko looked confused,

“How are you guys going to get in…?” Kamiko asked.

“Oh- I’m a Japanese Military general,” Matsushima said. Kamiko looked surprised.

“A General!?” Kamiko asked. Matsushima nodded,

“Yup, surprised?” Matsushima asked. Kamiko nodded,

“Since you’re a general, there’s something I want to propose to you!” Kamiko said. Matsushima looked surprised,

“O-Oh yeah, w-what is it?” Matsushima asked. Kamiko grabbed Matsushima’s hands. Matsushima blushed looking at Kamiko’s face.

“I’d like to create a demon defense force to fight back against the demons!” Kamiko said. Matsushima looked shocked and stopped blushing,

“O-oh yeah…” Matsushima said. Kamiko stood up walking over to a tree and grabbing Matsushima’s backpack.

“Expect a different question, pretty boy?” Shu asked. Matsushima turned to look at Shu. Shu sat there, smirking while taking off his bandages.

“O-Oh, Kamiko I had a question…” Matsushima said. Kamiko turned, raising a brow.

“Do you know how to use ChatzuKoru…?” Matsushima asked. She looked at him for a few seconds before nodding,

“Yeah, how do you guys know it?” Kamiko asked.

“Well, he taught me and then he was taught by a demon…” Matsushima said. Kamiko nodded,

“I did see you use it back there, but not him…” Kamiko said. Shu nodded,

“Cause it wasn’t that serious… I didn’t need your help…” Shu said. Kamiko sighed,

“Say the one who got knocked out…” Kamiko said. Shu scoffed, putting his hood up.

"Well, we'd better get going to Kyoto..." Kamiko said. Matsushima nodded, grabbing his bags and getting up. Shu stood up, following Kamiko.

"I hope you know once we get to Kyoto, I'm splitting up from you guys..." Shu whispered. Kamiko sighed,

"Why don't you join up with us...?" Kamiko asked. Shu scoffed,

"This is my mission alone to kill the demons..." Shu said. Kamiko chuckled,

"What if you did it on the side of the law...?" Kamiko said.

"What does that mean...?" Shu asked. Kamiko sighed,

"You'll be given military gear... Better swords, training, food, a place to sleep..." Kamiko said. Shu thought about it for a second,

"Let me sleep on it..." Shu said. Kamiko smiled, nodding.

"A place to sleep... What does a bed feel like...? I haven't slept on one in ages..." Shu internalized. Matsushima caught up to them,

"So... The walk to Kyoto should be a day out, the sooner we leave, the faster we make it there..." Matsushima said. Kamiko looked back raising a brow,

"Just use Chatzu..." Kamiko said. Shu nodded, looking back at Matsushima. Matsushima looked shocked,

"How the hell am I supposed to do that?? I'm not in a fight nor am I angry..." Matsushima said. Kamiko looked confused,

"What does that have to do with anything...?" Kamiko asked. Shu looked confused,

"That's what he told me," Matsushima said. Kamiko sighed,

"Well, he's kind of right... But there's more to it than just anger..." Kamiko said. Matsushima looked interested,

"It's more your strongest emotion and your dreams..." Kamiko said. Matsushima looked surprised,

"That makes sense! When I was about to be killed by that demon, I thought of my dream!" Matsushima said. Kamiko smiled,

"And what was that...?" Kamiko asked.

"To create a group in the military to become the strongest and take down all the demons!" Matsushima said.

"Not if I do it before you..." Shu mumbled.

"What was that, you squirt?" Matsushima asked. Shu made a face at him, then looked at the ground while walking.

"My dream... Is that what I've been doing wrong...?"

"I've been thinking about killing Juz'goth but that's only part of my dream..."

"Should I be thinking about Fuyumi...?" Shu contemplated. Shu shook his head, paying attention to Kamiko.

"Wait, so how do you know all of this about Chatzu?" Matsushima asked. Kamiko closed her eyes, smiling.

"My old teacher taught me everything she knew about Chatzukoru... She was the first human to ever wield it..." Kamiko said. Matsushima looked shocked,

"Y-You don't mean your teacher was..." Matsushima stuttered. Kamiko nodded,

"The famous Japanese War General Hitomi Katayama..." Kamiko said. Matsushima looked surprised,

"Is she still alive!?" Matsushima asked. Kamiko shrugged,

"Not sure, and if I did I couldn't say..." Kamiko said. Matsushima sighed,

"Awh man... She would've been big help in teaching some people Chatzukoru..." Matsushima said. Kamiko chuckled,

"Don't worry about that, you guys have me... She taught me everything she knew..." Kamiko said. The three then stood still looking at each other,

"So, Matsushima Shoichi... What's your dream...?" Kamiko asked. Matsushima looked at her surprised, he then looked at the ground, entering his mind. It would flash back to when the two fought Ulven.

“Without accomplishing any of my dreams…!?” Matsushima said. He grabbed Shi’s sword from the tree as he closed his eyes. With all of his strength, he started pulling the sword. The veins in his arms then started flashing white with a blue tint.

“FIVE…!!”

“… PERCENT...!!” Matsushima shouted. He then pulled out the sword, shooting forward with a trail of blue lightning behind him. Ulven’s left foot then came clean off. Ulven then fell to the ground on his back, screaming. Matsushima stood there, breathing heavily with steam exhausting from the sides of his mouth. Pack in the present Matsushima would look up at Kamiko with his eyes glowing.

"What's my dream...?" Matsushima said. He smiled,

"I want to make a world where humans are the dominant race again!! We've turned into cattle for sport..." Matsushima said. Shu looked at Matsushima in surprise.

"I want to be able to fight back..." Matsushima turned to Shu.

"And I want to do it with you...!!" Matsushima declared. Shu looked at Matsushima with slight amusement.

"Slow your roll... I haven't made my decision on what I want to do yet... We'll cross that bridge when we get there..." Shu said. Matsushima smiled,

"I'll make that your only choice!" Matsushima said. Shu chuckled, closing his eyes.

"We'll see... Maybe our ideals will end up matching..."

"... Wild Dreamer..." Shu said. The three of them walked down the path as the sun began to rise and the new day comes.
