Eventually, the separation was complete. Before Damon stood a perfect copy of himself. Whether it was bone structure, smell, demeanor, and even thought, the entity that stood before him perfectly replicated that.
What made Damon feel even weirder was their connection. It was semi-autonomous at best. In other words, his clone could act on its own without being near the main body, and Damon felt like it could go anywhere in the universe and still be connected to him.
However, its consciousness was his. There was nos distinction between them, only what Damon himself made. So there was no chance of clone betrayal unless Damon thought it was funny or became sick in the head.
To put it simply, every clone was a an extension of the main body. You could treat any of them as Damon himself, and one would never know his real body.
Damon rubbed his chin, something which his clone did not mimic as it just smiled. "Oh that's good, actions don't carry over. I have perfect control of each body and can make them do different things or the same things at will."
The other body folded its arms and nodded. "That's right. I thought this ability would have flaws, but it turns out to the literal best type of cloning ability. I guess this is why its ranked as EX?"
Damon smiled. "Then from henceforth, my main body will either always stay on earth or find some remote corner of the universe to live. I will act through clones at all times."
The clone frowned. "Its a good idea on paper and seems somewhat logical, but its not. It would be far more efficient and faster for us to work in tandem. Both our Devour and Probability manipulation skills can overlap according to the skill description of Avatar."
Damon smiled idly and contemplated this when his face froze. Immediately, the clone showed a shocked expression as both gazed at each other.
"Hold on a minute, if our abilities can overlap, doesn't that mean when we reach EX-stage Probability Manipulation, where we can adjust anything by 50%, the two of us working together can achieve 100%, thereby making anything absolute?" Damon remarked.
"No, even before that. Our Avatar Skill can grant new bodies which each stage increase. Even if it goes linearly, we'd have 10 bodies by the time we reach EX stage. We can augment something to almost 500% surety, meaning that not only will it succeed, but it will also possess 5x its effectiveness!" The clone commented with a look of shock.
"Hm, Avatar is really useful. Even though we share the same mind, our processing power has doubled because there are two brains. In this way, once we start increasing our stats, things would become even more amazing." Damon's main body commented.
"We should test our Probability Manipulation last. Right now, I'm curious as to how to make the most out of Devour. This skill says it drains energy from any living or nonliving thing through direct touch." The clone stated.
"So we can basically turn anyone we touch into a desiccated husk like a vampire? Nice. Who's gonna stand in one place and let us drain them?" Damon's main body asked sarcastically.
The clone waved his hand. "No need for the snark, we can literally make someone freeze using Probability Manipulation."
"Hmm… maybe. Whatever the case, I don't think the best use of Devour is to drain people. I think its best used to drain things." Damon pointed out.
"Agreed. We can literally just press our hand to the ground and drain energy from the ground until our tank is full. It also says that we need time to convert whatever we absorb into Worldly Essence, the stuff that directly lets you level up." The clone added.

The two silently gazed at each other with heavy expressions.
"In other words… like a broken bug from a lo quality RPG… we can literally manufacture our own 'experience points' without ever fighting?" Damon asked uncertainly.
"It… seems like it. Depending on the time of conversion, the two of us can remain at the entry point of the world of Essence and just drain ambient energy until we reach a level where doing so is too slow." The Clone affirmed with a strange expression.
Damon sighed. "In other words, unlike the others, I don't have to venture out and risk my life until I am suitably equipped with enough basic power?"
The clone read the abilities details and frowned. "Not just you."
Damon's main body frowned. It caught the train of thought of its clone and showed a wondrous expression. "Are you sure we can…?"
The Clone nodded. "Probably. I mean, nothing here says that the Worldly Essence we produce after conversion is usable by us only."
There was a spell of silence once more. The two Damons sighed as they thought of various ways to execute and make the most of their abilities. There were planning to make the advice they read while researching abilities their motto.
That the method and utility of an ability was more important than its rank or raw power.
Like just now, if he decided to follow the wording of Devour and run around grabbing people to drain them, one day he might be blasted into pieces before he even got there. Or if he did not work in tandem with his clone, doubling his growth speed, he would be forgoing a great advantage out of fear for his life.
These three EX abilities required immensely careful study over time to eke out the full extent of their versatility and value. Right now, he was just speculating based on obvious logic. He hadn't actually used these abilities to know how the engine worked, so it was about time to try it out.
Damon looked around. "I'm not sure it's advisable to drain energy from the ship that is hovering above our planet in space. We don't know our capacity nor the ship's energy limit. Best to wait until after the voting and head down to earth to find out."
The Clone nodded. "That should be obvious enough. However, we can play around with Probability Manipulation a bit and understand its reality-bending power."
Damon became thoughtful. "The ability says we can augment any action, but not an inaction. Before we even dive into this, we should properly define and understand the difference between an action and inaction."
"It's simple enough. An action requires the direct participation of one or more parties. If I want to punch you, that's an action. However, an inaction is something that does not require direct participation. So if I want you to get sick, that is an inaction." The Clone elaborated calmly.
"So an action is the state of doing and an inaction is a state of being… Pff." The main body couldn't help but laugh at that.
The Clone nodded with a similar look of amusement. "That's right, our almighty Probability Manipulation that can affect reality itself is susceptible to simple English and wording. If the prompt contains anything but Action verbs, it will not work. Nouns are also out of the picture."
"If that's right, then a good example would be wanting someone to become pregnant as opposed to having sex." Damon stated while rubbing his chin with a strange smile.
"Yup. We cannot use Probability Manipulation to make any one pregnant as that is a state of being. Being pregnant is not an action. Having sex however, is a pure action which involves direct involvement." The Clone said.
"So from another point of view Probability Manipulation affects the process of doing something, but cannot affect the outcome. Pregnancy is an outcome of sex while sex is the process of procreation. So we cannot make someone die instantly using this ability, but we can bring them to death through an action that causes death, like stabbing or slicing." Damon concurred.
"So at the end of it all, Probability Manipulation seems like an auxiliary ability, but it's actually a combat-based ability. Its best use is to secure higher chances of accuracy and damage during combat." The Clone revealed while standing at ease.
"That's right. Instead of asking for outcomes, it would be best to say something like 'what are the chances of my punch connecting with the enemy's jaw?' during a fight. In that situation, we can augment the chances and make it so that even if our punch were to miss, it would suddenly strike inexplicably. That would probably be the reality-bending part of the ability." Damon pointed out.
"That's right, but talk is cheap. Use the ability on me." The Clone prompted.
Damon nodded and entered a punching stance, aiming for the Clone's chest. He connected to his Probability manipulation ability and asked:
"What are the chances of my punch hitting my clone's chest."
Almost as if were magic, an answer appeared in his mind that was not spoken or written, but he just knew it.
[Objective chances are currently 98%.]
