School, Drugs and Money 2

School, Drugs and Money 2

6:30 am Hilton boys. Being shaken up in the morning was displeasing to Tom. The fact that it was Leo of all people, upset Tom even more.

During his stay at Hilton boys, Tom had gotten used to getting up at around 7:30 am and during these times, he never saw Leo awake.

Shaking Tom, Leo tried to get his attention.

"Yo, Theo wake up quick." Noticing Tom's eyes half open Leo carried on shaking Tom.

"You gotta get in the showers for a quick spot before breakfast."

Rubbing his eyes, Tom's cloudy mind started slowly fading. Seeing Leo drying his hair with a towel helped Tom to recall his previous words.

Breakfast had changed from 9 to 8, holidays had just finished and a new year of schooling had just begun.

Having a shower before then shouldn't be too hard was Tom's first thought.

But with a second thought, Tom suddenly clicked.

Leaping off his bed and grabbing a towel and body wash, Tom quickly took off into a sprint. Upon reaching the ablutions Tom's eyes retracted. The place was filled with kids.

Some were drying themselves and changing, others were waiting outside for their turn in the shower, some were in the shower and by the smell Tom guessed one kid was probably taking a dump.

Noticing a handover at the end cubicle, Tom quickly pushed through and claimed a spot.

Having over two dozen kids have a shower before 8:30 did seem like a difficult task. Adding on the fact that kids often left things until last minute, doesn't quite help either.

After his long awaited Shower, Tom had left straight to his room.

Entering the room, Tom noticed Sam and Leo standing in the room still half asleep. Surprisingly Leo wasn't watching TV and Sam looked happy for once, probably glad to see Nadine later. Looking closer Tom noticed something different about the two. Leo had a strap bag with a flap pocket and Sam had a backpack that looked slightly full.

Tom was still waiting on Theo's equipment to get picked up from the police station after most of it was taken for thorough investigation. Having most of the caregivers avoid him like the plague, didn't help this fact.

Remembering that Mr Nelson was going to help induct him around school later that day, he reminded himself to ask Mr Nelson if he could grab his things.

During his time waiting for Leo to have their nightly talk last night, Tom managed to recall some of Theo's memories at school.

Only one word could explain the experience, Invisible. Theo basically dove his head in books and avoided interaction.

Cupping his hand, Tom swung it towards Leo's.

mirroring each others actions their hands collided. "pop!"

Continuing Tom tried the action with Sammy, failing successfully. Tom couldn't quite hide his smile watching Sam's terrible coordination.

The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.

Handshakes were common in Tom's past life. Noticing other kids frequently shaking hands, almost making gun shots, peeked Tom's curiosity and not to long after that Tom asked Leo about it. Hearing the question Leo was adamant on Tom learning how to pop.

After multiple attempts of a pop, Sam whipped his bag off his back onto the bunk bed. Pushing books around he pulled out a paper pad and a pen.

"Just use this stuff for now. I mean, Hilton expects kids to buy their own stationary supplies, fucken place expects money to grow off trees.

With a quick glance at Leo, Sam continued.

"Well maybe it grows on trees for this fuckwit, but not us."

Tom didn't plan on doing much paper work for the first week, he wanted to go along with Leo's plan. But he still grabbed the equipment with a smile. Sam liked to act tough all the time but lately Tom had noticed that he was a thoughtful guy. Seeing Leos colorful shoes Tom recalled uniforms.

"thanks, just a quick question. Why don't we have uniforms?

Hearing the question Leo just turned towards Sam, expecting him to answer.

With a slight glance to one of the corners of the room Sam answered.

"Mrs Aubrey, the Franklin's Principal is like a artsy lady. She's all about expressing yourself, well that's what she claims. But I don't think so. I mean think about it, if we were to have uniforms who the hell would buy them for us?"

"What about the Government?" Tom asked.

Looking at Leo's facial expression, Tom felt like he said something wrong.

Smirking, Sam replied."For publicity maybe, but there are better publicity stunts to choose from. You expect us to have a great impact on our countries development during the future. I doubt most of us would pay taxes throughout our lives."

Seeing a a few kids walking past, Leo couldn't help but break up the conversation. Leo knew when Sam started talking about his personal preferences, he could get talkative to the point he would shove his own views down your throat.

Putting his arms around Tom and Sam he slightly dragged them along with him."Yo, breakfast time lets go."

After breakfast the buses arrived.

Due the variety of ages their were two different buses. One bus was designated for Hilton's primary school students. While the second bus was for Franklin's secondary school.

Upon boarding the buses, brown bags were given out to each student. Mr Nelson had notice Tom, placing him at a seat behind himself with another new student. Seeing the back fulled to the brim Tom couldn't help but think about the untold rule.

Putting together an idea on the untold rules concepts, Tom thought that younger people must sit at the back so that the elderly, sick and baby's could have easier access in the buses.

Nodding to himself, Tom felt like a genius at this moment.

During the trip to school Tom noticed that the kid next to him had his name on his bag. Tom didn't quite know why a kid would get his name on a bag, so he decided to ask.

"Hey, whys your name on the bag?"

Hearing Tom's words the kid retracted his gaze outside the bus window."I'm a vegetarian."

Tom didn't need to recall Theo's memories to know what a vegetarian was. While Leo and Sam were mentioning diet's this was mentioned. Noticing the kid turn towards the window Tom didn't ask more questions.

Tom wasn't bothered about the other new kid Ryan's behavior. Sometimes people just didn't like talking like Tom did.

Jumping off the bus to his new school Tom couldn't quite see the school yet. The bus stop was placed on the street road on top of a large hill. The entry way of the school had a white painted brick wall reaching to about the height of Tom's torso.

Placed on the wall was a large sign mentioning the school that you couldn't quite see. Gates were opened inwards leading to a really steep road heading towards the school.

On either side of the School road had large trees helping the School be unnoticed and further along was concrete pathways also matching the road downwards.

Waiting, the other kids stepped off the bus dispersing down the hill, a few broke off heading into the shop right in front of the bus stop. Leo and Sam passed by and after popping hands, headed off joining the travel down hill.

Noticing all the kids off the bus Mr Nelson got Tom and Ryan to follow him to the School reception office.

Reaching the end of the narrow slope Tom finally saw the School. It didn't quite meet Tom's expectations. It did have a lot of buildings placed all over the place.

The color of the buildings was often light gray and the roofing was not quite blue something like a mix of blue and teal. A few of the buildings had white paint awkwardly placed on it. One building even had scribbles spray painted on it.

You could see patches of grass here and there but most of the area had concrete. Concrete steps and ramps were frequent around the building entry's. Rubbish covered the whole school, some rubbish even covered the rubbish bins.

Kicking some stones, Tom heard a loud set of rings. *Beep* *Beep.*

*Beep* *Beep*Not long after the noise, Tom saw that all the kids in the area had disappeared.

Following Mr Nelson, Tom finally reached the reception office.

After making Ryan and Tom take a seat, Mr Nelson went to the reception booth and had a small discussion with the reception lady.

Not to long after that Ryan was called over and begun a conversation with the reception lady. Moving her computer screen she started point at parts of it while she continued talking with Ryan.

Printing off a paper slip she handed it over to Ryan.

While Ryan was walking back over he mentioned to Tom to head up.

Walking Toward the reception lady she smiled politely towards Tom.

"You're a handsome one aren't you."

Noticing Tom's awkward smile she continued.

"I'll fill in your details before I sort your times table, honey. What's your first name?"

"Tom, ugh I mean Theodore."Tom replied, slightly embarrassed about letting out his biggest secret.

Whilst typing she asked."is that double o r, or o r e."

Awkward as it was Tom had to use his memories to recall how it was written, after correcting it in his head Tom replied. "o r e."

After filling in Tom's details the reception lady mentioned there had five curriculum classes that were compulsory. English, Math, Science, Physical Education and Social studies.

Pointing to her computer screen the lady mentioned the list of subjects that Tom could choose for his last two subjects.
