A week after the rescue party left, he sent a group of 50 Arctic wolves with orders to catch up to and protect the humans. Seeing as how they were much faster than the humans, he figured they should meet up Either just before the humans attack the elf camp or as they're attacking it. As much as he worried for their safe return, he figured 100 high tier creatures plus hundreds of humans and their lesser wolf companions should be able to handle whatever remained at the elf camp. In truth he wanted to send more but was a bit understaffed when it came to heavy hitters at the moment. He didn't want to leave the sanctuary open to an attack by one of the other races after all.
Instead of just sitting their twiddling his metaphorical thumbs he decided to do a mental 'walkabout' to see if maybe he had been overlooking anything. First, he looks in on the four amigos which have become Siobhan's royal guards. It's really just an honorary title at the moment since Siobhan herself isn't likely to be attacked directly. He can see the role becoming very important two or three generations from now though. For now, the girls are delighted to have an official title that allows them to be near Siobhan. She is the first real friend they've had outside their core group after all and has basically become their surrogate mother despite only being four years older than them herself.
Next, he focuses on Yangus who is extremely busy lately thanks to all the new foundations recently acquired. He is happy that he gets to work with his hands everyday which is something he would probably find a way to do anyway even if it wasn't his job. He is also in charge of deciding the form of all the various buildings, mainly because nobody else wants to. He does have the foundations to guide him but since no one alive remembers what those buildings are supposed to looks like he's basically designing them from scratch. The fact that they are basically having to start their civilization over again from scratch doesn't help since nobody is really sure what buildings they need. In light of this Yangus, ever the realist, decided to construct the buildings in such a way that they can perform a variety of functions. He was also careful to construct them in such a way that the interior layout can be changed if needed with minimal effort. He briefly checked in on Adam and his crew, but they were busy adding stone reinforcements to what Yangus's crew had already built. They were determined to ensure the town was never completely destroyed again, or at the very least that it takes a great deal more effort to do so next time.
The next stop was Allyson. She still hadn't found the missing ingredient in the potent health potion, but her experiments had produced a regeneration potion. It was basically like a weaker health potion but lasted much longer. At first, she considered it a failure but the more she thought about it the more she realized it could actually prove useful. Lasting significantly longer meant that it could be taken well before it's actually needed. If nothing else this could keep the person alive until they can either get to a health potion or get treated by a healer. She was currently out collecting insects to see if any part of them matched the mystery ingredients she has yet to identify. Meanwhile her apprentice is busy cataloging everything and storing it for later experiments.
Logan then turned his attention to Carver who was busy turning the elves' equipment into something that could be used by the warriors of this community. With two Forges that meant he could focus entirely on making armor and weapons as well as repairing existing ones. His most experienced apprentice had taken half the other apprentices and set up shop in the other forge to make replacement potion bottles and the like as well as whatever miscellaneous thing the town needed made. Carver would never admit it, he had a reputation as a stoic brute to maintain after all, but he was overjoyed that he could pass on what his grandfather had taught him. He acted like he was doing the community a favor by working the forge but in truth there was nothing else he'd rather be doing.
Next up, he checked on Maribel. She was obsessed with making sure everyone had clothing on. Nobody seemed to mind though. They all understood that it wasn't out of prudishness but rather an act of defiance. Female slaves in the elf camp were forbidden from wearing clothing. The only reason the men were allowed a scrap of cloth to cover themselves was that the male elves were jealous of the lustful stares the female elves gave them. The fact that this new clothing was made of the finest silk was just icing on the cake. She had even begun to get creative finding various ways to add specific pigments to the clothing she made. Her color palette was still extremely limited, but she was nonetheless able to create several unique designs which added much needed variety to people wardrobes.
He then checked on the bath house. It had been popular for a while, but the community had also grown significantly since it was first claimed. He didn't enjoy looking in on people bathing but he wanted to make sure everyone still had plenty of room. He had thought of just having Cid ask them, but he was worried they would say yes whether they did or not. He also wanted to make sure the cleansing ruins that had been placed were still able to keep up. He also checked in on the kitchen area while he was at it. It had been moved to one of the larger buildings which was more capable of accommodating such a large group of people. He thought this was a great idea and honestly wondered why he hadn't thought of it. The cooks still lived in the mansion where the kitchen had been which meant they needed to walk to the kitchen each morning and home each night. They didn't mind though as the kitchen in this new building was so large the cooks and their helpers were no longer tripping over each other trying to get things done.

Last but certainly not least, especially in terms of importance, he checked to make sure he had an even distribution of creatures along the edges of his territory. This was harder than it sounds due to the recent battle wiping out a good chunk of his forces. There was also the various wolves he had recently sent out after the remaining elves in the camp south of the town. To remedy this, he went around to each spawner and set it to alternate which edge of his territory the newly spawned creatures would migrate towards. All except the wasp and bird spawners of course since they could get wherever they were needed near instantly.
After that there wasn't really anything he could do but sit and wait. Nothing required his immediate attention, and the humans were more or less completely autonomous at this point. He could still step in if he wanted but that would be counterproductive since the entire goal was to save humanity. A large part of which included allowing them to reform and then maintain some form of government. Not that he doesn't offer advice regularly.
Over the next three weeks he does gain enough mana to expand once. Shortly after which the rescue team returns with nine new residents. Out of those nine one became a life mage one became a fire mage and two of them decided to help Adam. The rest became warriors. Over that same time the population of his creatures had begun to recover. He was curious to try a little experiment, but he would have to wait a while longer. Even if it worked though it wouldn't be something he could do all the time. Still the thought that it should work left him feeling a little gitty with anticipation. It also left him unsure why he hadn't thought of it before now. For now, all he could do was wait.
You would think that just being a glowing orb would have improved his patience, but he still hated just waiting around. At least now the warriors and mages were back so he could watch the mock battles and occasional tournaments. The tournaments themselves were a huge hit among the community and boosted morale significantly every time a tournament was held. He had hoped it would, but it still feels good to see his plan actually bear fruit, so to speak. Over the next month he got five more expansions, two east and three west. That's when beta team returns with three people they found wandering around north of the city. According to them there were originally nine people in their group but between the goblins and the orcs they were all that was left. This made Logan want to do something about their numbers, but he still needed to wait. He could send something now and it probably would reduce their numbers a little bit, but he didn't want them beefing up security before he was ready. Naturally they all became warriors deciding they didn't want to fear either orcs or goblins ever again. They also wanted to kill as many of them as possible, but Logan was confident that Joel and the others wouldn't let him do anything stupid.
Because of the way the spawners worked it would be a while yet before he had enough of the larger creatures to send out to be more than a nuisance to either the orcs or goblins. When he does decide to attack them, he doesn't want there to be enough of them left to counterattack. He knows that this also gives them time to build up but since they don't know they should they most likely won't and besides he has no doubt he can build up much faster than anyone else. With the possible exception of the other sanctuaries but it's a big world so what are the odds that any of them are anywhere near him.
With that he goes back to waiting and after another month manages to pick up another six westward expansions. He also acquires a large cavern that could be part of a cave network during his last expansion. He knows that the dwarven camp is to the west and that they live underground but surely their camp doesn't extend this far east. Surely the humans that lived here before would have noticed if they had dwarves living right under their feet. Deciding, after a lengthy internal debate, that it was probably safe he decided to dig out a tunnel towards the cavern. He needed to find a reliable source of iron anyway, as well as any other metals that might exist in this world. Unfortunately, Adam was the closest thing the community had to a miner. So even if they found some metal, they wouldn't be able to mine it very efficiently. That was a problem for later though, right now he still had a hallway to make. He wasn't an idiot though, so he also made a series of stone doors at 50-meter intervals as well as at every intersection leading to it. These doors would be closed in the event of an emergency. There was still that pesky rule about needing to make it physically possible to get to the core, but as long as there was a path from outside his territory to the core that seemed to be enough. After that he talked with Cid about it and had him advice Siobhan to send a recon team down to check it out before he would allow anyone to go mining. He wasn't sure he could bring himself to stop them if they insisted on sending someone to mine, nor was he sure he really wanted to. Especially after working so hard to get them to a point where they have a functioning government. All he could really do was trust that they saw the wisdom in his reluctance.
