While Logan continued to search for other dungeons the Carver and Allyson took it upon themselves to reinforce the wall with iron sheets. These iron sheets were enchanted to resist magic just like the walls themselves adding another layer of magical protection along with the obvious physical protection. It took them several months to finish the project but once completed they were confident that no force could break through the wall before the sanctuary could deal with the invaders.
After that life pretty much continued as usual. The map was slowly getting filled out, the population was steadily growing, and Logan was steadily expanding. After three years Logan had gained another 40 southern and 40 western expansions. Still expanding towards the only other known human city. Just as he was about ready to expand again, he was focusing on one of the black eagles he had out when he discovered the telltale signs of another dungeon.
It was close to 3000 km to the southwest and the area that it covered was truly massive, though not as big as Logan would have thought considering its age. The question now was what to do about it. Finding it was just step one after all. He considered launching an attack right away but quickly decided against that. Even if he could get an attack over there the most likely outcome would just be him feeding the other dungeon. A single black eagle though should be hard for the other dungeon to detect.
The problem was that he had no way to give orders to the one that was already there. This meant that he had to send another black eagle and wait close to a week for it to get there before he could get a real look at the other dungeon. Thankfully he knew where the other dungeon was so he could send it straight there instead of having it fly in a search pattern like the others.
He was briefly worried that he might lose the connection once it crossed the threshold of the other dungeon but that didn't seem to be the case. Once inside the other dungeons territory he saw ... a forest. Considering the direction of this particular dungeon he had expected a sprawling elven metropolis. Instead, what he found was barely any elf activity at all. There weren't even any treehouses. He had ordered the black eagle to find several different places to perch so he could get a good look around but at the time he was expecting something a lot different. In fact, if it wasn't for the barriers existence he would doubt he was in a dungeon's territory.

After a while he was given another surprise. "Have you seen enough?" asked the voice from everywhere and nowhere all at once. It took him longer than he'd care to admit to realize it was the other dungeon talking to him directly, through the black bird. "Sorry about that young one, I didn't mean to startle you." it said while still laughing. It took Logan a while to compose himself after that. This was not going at all how he thought it would. Thankfully and perhaps most puzzlingly he felt no malice from the other dungeon.
Then he was struck by something the other dungeon had said. The other dungeon had referred to him as "young one" meaning that it was aware of his existence. "How did you know I was young?" Logan asked before he could stop himself. "Simple" replied the other dungeon. "You don't seem to be able to send out very many troops at once and you have almost no control over the ones you do send out." Logan would like to argue but he really can't. He really does have limited control of the creatures outside his territory. Likewise, while he has no idea how many this other dungeon can send out, he has no doubt given the age difference it's a lot more than what he is able to send.
He knew from the beginning that he was at a huge disadvantage but to have to have it laid out for him just how outclassed he was is a bit overwhelming. He had a job to do though so he quickly, or as quickly as he could anyway, pulled himself together. It had been a while since he was made to feel like a small child yet still, he must persist. "I am here to ask that you stop your genocidal war against the humans." He said with as much authority as he could muster.
The answer that came back was possibly the last one he would have ever expected. "We have not waged war on the humans." Answered the other dungeon. "We care not what happens outside our boarders. After the other cores were shattered, we forbid humans from entering our territories. Aside from that though we care not what happens to them." Logan started to respond when something suddenly caught his attention. Wait, you said we and not I. Does that mean you are in touch with the other dungeons.
"I am in contact with them even now." came the response from the other dungeon. Well so much for taking them on one at a time Logan thought to himself. "We can't control the ones we were sent here with." Continued the other dungeon before Logan could organize his thoughts after that last revelation. "We will not directly attack the humans ourselves however."
He wasn't sure why, but he felt like he could trust them to keep their word. This was the best news he could have gotten because he had long since outgrown the need to worry about anything the other races could send to attack him. For the longest time his only concern was an attack by other dungeons. This meant that his primary mission was a success. There was still a lot of work to do and slaves to free certainly, but humans were no longer in danger of being wiped from this planet.
