Since the start of the Crazy Days, the Apiary would try to present the ensuing events as proof of humanity being a monolithic, yet irredeemably fractured, species, and use that to discredit and further crackdown on dissidents. They reported on the riots as humans destroying communities due to aimlessness and stupidity. Countering this image, associates involved in the creation of this publication used District 6 as a research sample. By investigating the properties targeted during the riots, speaking to surviving witnesses and participants, and reaching out to some of their own connections to gather other details, these associates pieced together priceless data to form a picture that was covered under layers of the colonial regime’s curated one-sided narrative.
What was found is that almost all the property, around 85% targeted during the riots, belonged to collaborators with a known history of advancing the Apiary agenda and generally exploiting the residents of the communities they did business in. The remaining 15% of property targeted with no known association to the Apiary, were found to have been mostly carried out by gangsters, loyalist provocateurs, and even the owners themselves due to rivalries, fraudulent purposes, or petty reasons, while the very small fraction of perpetrators are still left unidentified. In fact, it is 15% and not higher because when members of the communities found out that anti-Apiary associated possessions were being targeted, they set up patrols, checkpoints, and guard duty to prevent any malicious damage.
It does not sound aimless or stupid, does it? It sounds like the best qualities, like care and trust, are reserved for fellow humans and things that are beneficial to the whole, and vehemently oppose those that stand as the antithesis.
Human history is filled with people working together to preserve the integrity of the environment, helping each other through crises, using technological advances in attempts to alleviate distress, aiding the innocent against exploitation, and just letting harmless folks live their lives. All of which, not necessarily for an underlying ultimatum of self-enrichment or sanctimonious ego stroking, but for the sense of benefiting many in life itself. There were diverse societies, communities, and philosophies born out of this attitude, with some holding strong and thriving for a long time. These places and lifestyles were able to do this, by communally running their own means of production, dividing the fruits of their labor in accordance to need, and sharing responsibility in work, rule, and harmony without the implementation of strict hierarchies. Such have proven so-called “human nature” contrary, as this shows most people can be forward thinking, caring, ethical, studious, trustworthy, and quite deft at being a sovereign people.

It cannot be stressed enough; any hope of success requires keeping to a few fundamental basics.
* Do not trust the system to reform, whether by itself or by active participation. For that matter, anyone who says they still have faith in making radical reform through the system’s mechanisms and demand the same from others, do not trust them either. It is built so that its mechanisms are made to maintain its own survival, not humanity. The system is not broken but working the way it was always intended. It is how it can get away with failing, and still have those who run the thing claim success. If it must be used, use it sparingly and only when it means advancing the total efficiency of eventual independence. Any more risks a state of enduring dependency on that corrupting structure that needs to be taken down, and it will not take much effort to become part of the problem.
* It is okay to look to someone who has an idea of what they are doing, but do not always rely on them to find a resolution every time. No one has an answer all the time. Plus, if there is one thing manipulators throughout time look for in others, it is another’s overreliance on the need for orders. It is how human monsters of the past were able to hijack positions of power and movements before, and that has not changed, so stay on guard. Avoiding making a devil’s deal with anyone not seeking to respect both humanity and environment should go without saying, but desperation can convince anyone that it is a good idea. If there is no one else to look up to, do not hesitate from the fear of the worst outcome doing what needs to be done. Be the leader you have been waiting for and help it reach its best outcome.
* Establish functional alternatives that will fill the vacuums created from the absence of the current system in place. Whether some alternatives are fulfilling already present voids, or there are plans set to seize the local means of production, do not stop creating new replacements and redundancies for new opportunities and emergencies in the future. Start and protect the alternatives expediently, work out any flaws that arise, and get fellow communities familiar with how they work. Doing so will form a stable foundation that can be used to lift others for a stronger resistance. The current system does not benefit humanity, but it is built in a way so that things will get worse even if some of its more detrimental elements are removed. The Apiary will use any negative fallout as proof of their conjectural superiority and convince people to reinstate them into power.
* Whatever plans formulated or alternatives established, make sure they respect the humanity and environment of others, long as they too do their part in similar respect. These are the people who you should try the hardest to find compromise. It is a fight for a common cause, but the goal for one way of life might not perfectly match with the goal of others. Agree to disagree on the intricacies, find common ground that would not be counter to what is being fighting for, do not shy away from a diversity of tactics, and create a stable structure to conduct the work necessary to achieve a solid end goal. What little variances between us all is not worth going it alone against an encompassing threat like the Apiary.
* Check the sources of your information. A source’s bias can allow it to focus more on subjects others may ignore for different reasons, but too much bias may blind it to equally important issues or highly sought after answers. Too much bias can also bleed into something far more concerning, which is the importance in the accuracy of facts. Whether they be instructions on how to construct something or the progress of the resistance, the accuracy of facts is key to good intel. Bad intel can cause irreparable damage to you, your allies, your relations, and your cause. It doesn’t matter if it’s done maliciously or not, always check and double check to see to it that it doesn’t aid the Apiary in any avoidable way.
