67th Day, Year 135 of Helan Phorro Xamium
Our tributes to our hosts have officially commenced today. We looked outside the viewport during the rising sun, saw the Window of Symbols on the small hill, flashing between two images of a red circle with no object inside and an object inside. I ordered for one of our extra etching claws to be placed in the circle outside. Happiness symbol appeared, large whirler appeared, the item got loaded onboard and the whirler flew away.
I, Tonglok Phorro and Moloj Phorro left the ship to collect any animal and plant life we could find around the site. We discovered and categorized two more plants. By the time the sun started to set, we managed to collect five plants, four of the same type, and three of the same type of animal.
By the second sunrise, I stayed inside the ship to conduct some lab experiments on some of the collected plants. Tonglok Phorro and Guardian Junget Darrif had left to collect more plants and animals. When they both came back inside around sunset, Tonglok Phorro told me and Moloj Phorro that he was approached by a group of examiners once again. This group did not seem deterred by Junget’s presence, which possibly means they must have imprinted on him somehow. Is it conceivable, when he tried to first touch one back on the 64th, it activated something instinctual in these creatures?
Much of their time, they were sharing different images of symbols and pictures with Tonglok Phorro. They let him take back a small batch for him to study. We could possibly use these to communicate with them in the future.

Junget meanwhile managed to collect a single animal.
68th Day, Year 135 of Helan Phorro Xamium
I determined we all needed a break, so we spent our time resting, reading and playing several rounds of a few different games. During one of the games, Guardian Junget expressed worry about her brother being out in the alien wilderness and wanted to know what became of him. I assured her that we would find a way to inquire the creatures about his whereabouts. Understandably, she and the other guardians do not trust them and have their own theories about his fate. Champion Zalhang then reminded the guardians to know their place and leave the theorizing to the clergy of the Phorro Priesthood. There were no more incidents. Junget did request to patrol the outside of the ship by herself while we continued relaxing. I granted the request. She returned inside as the sun began to rise for a second time.
After the second sunrise, the Window of Symbols on the small hill flashed its request for another tribute. I ordered a game piece to be placed in the circle outside. A happiness symbol showed, large whirler appeared, the item got loaded onboard and the whirler flew away.
Junget got me thinking about performing a nighttime observation of the wilderness, to see if we could possibly spot and categorize any nocturnal wilderness activity. Moloj Phorro volunteered to do this after the day’s final setting of the sun and selected Guardian Horskul to accompany him. Both left the ship after sunset and eventually came back with three new animals categorized. Maybe another collection assignment can be arranged for another night?
