Unfortunate pt. 2

Unfortunate pt. 2

“I can only stay for coffee. How about you girls?” Said Jasmine’s father.

Girls looked at each other and smiled and said “Yes”. Except for Charlotte of course. She is not able to talk. Because there weren't many people, they ate cake in a small kitchen. On one side William and Jasmine’s father were talking about the business that they run. On another side, there was Diarem, Jasmine, and Charlotte.

“So… what kind of magician are you?” Asked Jasmine.

“Apparently I am a specialist and second guy with that kind of magic.”

“Ohhh… So what is it exactly?”

“It’s named Nemesis Magic.”

“Cool! I can only use water magic…”

Jasmine’s father left and William was going to his office because he didn’t want to disturb the kids. Jasmine and Diarem played a game where you need to spin water balls around them from top to bottom as close to their body as they can. The first one to splash the water on the ground wins. Jasmine won but Diarem wanted to play again. He always was stubborn when it comes to winning games. He wouldn't cheat but he would try as many times as possible to win.

The phone started ringing. Elizabeth picked up the phone. She said that Mr. Hans is calling for Charlotte. Charlotte picked up the phone. Diarem and Jasmin were thinking about how she would talk with him without saying anything.

“Do you need any help Charlotte?” Asked Jasmine but Charlotte with her hand that she didn't need help. On her shoulder appeared a small black crow. The Crow spoke for her with a peachy voice.

“What kind of magic does she use?” Asked Diarem.

“She is a dark magician but the crow is her magic spirit.”

“What's magic spirit?”

“It’s magical beings that are created from our souls. You can also call it like second magic for some people.”

“So it’s like her pet?”

“You can put it that way…” Said Jasmine with disappointment.

Charlotte walked to them with a crow on her shoulder and the crow said for her:

“I’ll be going goodbye.”

After Charlotte left, Jasmine spent some time with Diarem and she also needed to go home because it was getting dark. Diarem said that he can walk her home. She gladly accepted his offer.

Jasmine and Diarem left when it was barely dark. They mostly were talking about school and other students that they like or not. Two men dressed in red suits passed them. Diarem didn’t recognize them because of erased memory but they do remember him and saw where he is living.

They were looking at each other and at Diarem. One of them started walking toward Diarem but the other men grabbed him by the shoulder and shook his head to the left and right to inform his companion to not do this. He showed with his thumb the building behind him. They both started heading toward Diarem's house.

“Oh… Dad isn’t home yet.” Said Jasmine after not seeing her dad’s car.

“Do you want to come inside?” Asked Jasmine.

“Maybe for a few minutes.” Answered Diarem.

After an hour Diarem was going home. He saw that the gate and doors to his house were open. In the corridor, he saw crying Elizabeth and Helen trying to cheer her up even tho she also seem shocked by what happened. Diarem looked at them with shock and asked:

“What happened?”

“Glad, you're all right. Someone barged in and stole a few things and attacked us. Your father... Is in the hospital.” Said Helen.

After hearing what happened Diarem started running toward a hospital. He was exhausted after a long day but there was no time for rest.

“Luckily Elizabeth didn’t see them attacking us because she passed out when they said that this was robbery… They will pay one day for running away with my knife in their shoulder!” Thought to herself, Helen.

When they were getting robbed Helen threw at them her knife and they ran away. One of them had a knife pounded in his shoulder. Diarem arrived at the hospital. He was heavily breathing after running a few kilometers. He walked to reception and asked about his father.

“He is currently undergoing surgery. You can wait on the second floor on the left by room number 34.” Said the receptionist.

Diarem was sitting with his head down, waiting for information about his dad's state. Diarem was feeling guilty because he thought that because of him his Dad got hurt.

“Maybe if I would stay… maybe I would stop them but what if then they would attack Jasmine…”
