Once they made it to the oasis, the Queen was carried around in her palanquin and was screaming at the damage that had been done from all the partying. Her slaves had already begun cleaning the place up when Felix slipped out and ran back to the ruins.

He made it there without issue and ran straight to where he knew the valves were. He opened them all up and water flowed into the basins in the ruins through the pipes in the walls.

Felix found himself in a very familiar reward room. He approached the table in the center and stowed the Credits. He quickly checked his current credit total and noticed it was higher than he expected. He realized that some of the items he had listed at the auction must have sold.
Oh SHIT.
Felix quickly opened his expenditures screen and skimmed through them, approving everything.
I guess it's only been a day, still. From now on, every night.
The arrows were cool, but useless to Felix as were the bow and rapier. None of them held enchantments, but did appear to be of supreme quality, to Felix's untrained eye.
More money for me I guess. Oh shit, I probably should have looted the scorpion bodies, at least the Brood-Mother's. They probably could have been used for some cool armor. Oh well, too late now.
The next item on the table was a pair of small dangly silver earrings with a little blue stone inset into them.
[E - Rare] Earrings of Insight
A set of earrings imbued with the ability to detect the true intent of those the wielder converses with.
While equipped, these earrings will convey to you the general feelings and intent of the other person. If they are lying or hiding something, the earrings may know. Only the strongest of deception abilities and some magic items may be able to thwart the earrings.
My ear's aren't pierced though.
Felix picked them up and held one up to his ear, about to force it through when it simply hung off of his lobe. The post simply disappeared and the earring clamped itself in place. He held the other earring to his other ear and the same thing happened.
Well, that's a relief. I guess peoples ears probably seal over when they heal. Maybe an evolution can will them not to? Not sure how that works though, I'll have to ask Noah or someone. The king did mention something about willing his evolution to do what he wanted.
Following the earrings, there was a simple leather flask. The flask was made of a brown leather with a simple design on the side and a cork attached by a cord so it wouldn't get lost. The design on the leather was some abstract combination of angular lines that looked cool, but didn't seem to depict anything in particular.
[E - Mythic] Flask of Adventurous Refreshment
A flask that contains no liquids and all liquids. Flasks similar to this are rumored to have existed in ancient times created using methods that have been lost to time.
Channel mana into the cork to randomly choose a liquid. The liquid is random but will incur no benefits or detriments, no potions or poisons will be found in the flask. Channel mana into the flask to fill it with the chosen liquid. This may be used infinitely. You must drink the liquids produced, they cannot be poured out of the flask except into another drinking vessel. Upon refilling the flask, any liquid that originated from the flask will disappear unless it has been ingested.
A Mythic rarity item? Definitely wasn't expecting that. Maybe it's cause it has no combat benefit? I also don't know how long I will need to keep drinking, I am sure some evolution is going to make it unnecessary. This item is more like a fun party trick than anything else. I guess if I find something really tasty I can just never reroll it.

Felix channeled some mana into the cork, opened the bottle and sniffed it. He immediately smelled some sort of awful rotten smell coming out of it. He closed it and rolled it again. He randomized it until he smelled a combination of apples and cinnamon carried by the steam of a surprisingly hot liquid. He filled the flask just a smidge and took a sip of a delightful tea.
This thing is awesome, and realistically I can just roll past the foul ones.
Next on the table was a black circle. Felix pinched the circle and picked up the cloak which was made of the thinnest material Felix had ever touched or seen. It was very soft, almost like silk, but not as slippery, like cotton or wool sewn with microscopic threads.
[E - Special] Cloak of the Explorer
A cloak made of a special material designed to perfectly regulate the temperature, no matter the conditions.
Within E grade conditions, while equipped, this cloak will perfectly regulate the climate around you. It will prevent you from feeling warm or cold and keep the temperature around your body within the desired range.
As a property of the unique material used to create this cloak, if damaged, this cloak can completely regenerate itself if mana is channeled into it.
WARNING: The amount of mana required to regenerate cloth is very high.
Felix put it on and found it was essentially a hooded poncho. The cloak had massive holes for his hands to pop through but no sleeves, just an excess of material on either side. The cloth reached right to his wrists on either side and hung to the midway point on his thighs. Felix found it perfectly breathable and comfortable in every way and it didn't restrict movement at all. It also attached to itself in the middle when Felix touched the two sides together. If he pulled them apart, they simply detached.
This might be my new favorite item. Oh it's so soft, so comfortable. Best of all, I never have to deal with the stupid heat of the desert again. At least within the E grade.
The last item on the table was a gem the same size and shape as the Gem of the Forest he currently wore around his neck. This one was a deep red color though it glimmered slightly orange in the light.

A gem with abilities that can be granted to the wielder when slotted into it's corresponding item.
Sand: While equipped, your maximum health pool is increased by 50%.
Felix picked up the gem, separated his cloak and brought the gem close to the amulet where it simply snapped into place, like a magnet. Felix checked the Amulet again and noticed the name had changed.
[E - Special] Amulet of the Forest & Sand
A pendant with three slots intended to imbue the wielder with the effects of the gems slotted within.
Forest: While equipped, your maximum energy pool is increased by 50%.
Sand: While equipped, your maximum health pool is increased by 50%.
One more and hopefully it will have some cool set effect.

Felix found himself in the middle of the desert at night, just as he had left it.
Managed to complete that one in less than a day. Thank goodness too. The king was an ok guy I guess. Onwards to the next dungeon.
Felix opened his map and saw that the closest dungeon was in the middle of the ocean. He thought about heading towards it but decided to come back to it later in case it was at the bottom of the ocean instead of on an island. The next closest one was all the way in the north east corner of the square tutorial map. There was also a fort on the way.
Felix thought about camping for the night but figured he should get out of the desert first. If the town was friendly he could camp there, but if they weren't he wanted to be fully rested before visiting. He checked their note and entry requirements on his map.
The entry requirements were just a class at level 22 and this was the first of the forts he had checked that had a note on it: "Open to the strong. Level requirement increases weekly. We will conquer the tutorial." It was also the first fort other than his own with a name: "Icewatch."
Oh no, I have a bad feeling about this town.
He ran through the desert and passed by a handful of critters, in the same level range as before, at about 30. The desert disappeared behind Felix as the sand gave way to snow with evergreen trees peaking through the otherwise undisturbed white blanket. The trees were not quite as big as the forest Felix was dropped into at the start of the tutorial, but the trees were still bigger than any he had seen on earth before the integration. The trees were also more spread out, with the sky visible everywhere within the forest, unlike the seamless tree cover in the forest to the south.
Felix was enjoying the cool night breeze as he ran through the desert, but here in the snow it was slightly too cold on his face. Felix pulled up his hood, which gave ample room for his head because it lightly draped towards his shoulders instead of hugging his face like some hoods.
It's kind of odd to have such drastic biomes so close together. System fuckery.
Felix saw another icon on his map for a world boss but he decided to leave this one be. If he accidentally caught it's attention, he would surely be dead, with low energy and health. He needed to sleep.
He could just sleep in the snow with his cloak, which would be the most comfortable, but ran the risk of some creature finding him. Given his low overall health being a caster, a creature could kill him if he wasn't careful. The other option was to sleep on a tree branch. He was worried about falling and it wasn't immune to creatures, but he could stay low enough that it wouldn't hurt him and some of the branches were about thick as he was tall. He thought about tying himself to the branch, but they were much too thick for that.
Felix detoured away from the world boss and the town, just in case, and climbed a tree. The bark on the trees was proportionally big, so holding onto it to climb was painless. He made it to a lower branch and laid down on top of it. It was relatively rough, but his body was much more durable than he expected. He could barely feel the bark underneath him and he quickly fell asleep.
The next morning, he woke up and saw a creature sleeping on the branch next to him.

Jeez, high level squirrel, this thing has probably seen some shit. Done some shit.
Felix hopped off the branch and cast Feather Fall to catch himself then continued on towards the fort. He decided not to bother checking out the world boss because it was out of the way at this point and he would see it when he came back to kill it anyways. . . . . .
