CHAPTER 20: THE ULTIMATE BATTLE, SAVON AND THE CRYSTAL OF CORRUPTION!

CHAPTER 20: THE ULTIMATE BATTLE, SAVON AND THE CRYSTAL OF CORRUPTION!

The chamber housing Savon, Julias, and the Crystal of Corruption were suddenly engulfed in a blinding white light. Emerging from the light were John and Isabella, who wasted no time in confronting Savon.

The room was dimly lit, with only a few flickering torches casting shadows across the walls. The air was thick with tension as John and Isabella stood facing Savon.

Savon was caught off guard by the sudden appearance of John and Isabella, but John had used the skill of his magical saint weapon, Sunweaver, to track Savon's mana essence in the Crystal of Corruption. John's hidden protector, who had been following him and reporting to the rebels outside, also appeared.

The rebels had gathered their forces outside the Labyrinth of Shadows and were ready to strike. The rebels' chants could be heard from outside, growing louder and more intense with each passing moment.

Isabella used a very expensive teleportation charm to whisk herself and Julias away to another location, leaving John to face Savon alone. John and Savon engaged in a fierce battle.

Savon was a towering figure, standing over two and a half meters tall with charcoal-like skin and flaming red eyes. His arms were long and sharp, and he grew two horns on his head. John summoned his legendary saint-level sword, Sunweaver, which had been in slumber for a long time. The sword glowed with a brilliant white light, illuminating the chamber and casting long shadows across the walls.

The battle was intense, and both fighters were determined to win. John used his knight path skill "Knight Charge" to close the distance between them. He then used the Warlord skill "Warlord Cry" to interrupt Savon's mind.

However, Savon was quick to react and had already reached the Crystal of Corruption. With a sly smile, he whispered to John, "Too late."

Savon's hand touched the crystal, and the three of them suddenly appeared on the top of the royal castle. John could feel the cool breeze against his skin, and he could see the entire kingdom from the top of the castle. Savon's body began to mutate, growing to a height of three meters, with silver-black scales and a tail that swept left and right. His arms split into four, and he grew three horns on his head. This was Savon's ultimate form, and John knew he was in trouble.

John rushed towards Savon, splitting into multiple mirror images of himself with the skill "Crescendo of Light." Savon hit him with his tail, sending him flying into a castle wall. John stood up, blood dripping from his wounds, determined to defeat Savon.

He used the "Warlord Formation: Hidden Judgment" skill, setting up mana points each time he was blasted into a different spot. His hidden protector then used his skill, "Abyss Chains," to paralyze Savon and finish him off with "Knight Charge."

John cleaved Savon's giant monster form in half with his sword, and Savon fell to the ground with a thud. Doubt, fear, and confusion filled the eyes of the once-terrifying monster. John retreated, not wanting to be tainted by the blood of this corrupt creature.

He could feel the adrenaline pumping through his veins as he left the rooftop, knowing that the kingdom was now safe from the threat of Savon and the Crystal of Corruption.

As John left the rooftop, he could hear the cheers of the rebels from outside the castle walls. They had witnessed the defeat of the tyrant Savon and the destruction of the Crystal of Corruption. John felt a sense of relief knowing that he had fulfilled his duty as a knight and had saved the kingdom from a dark fate.

However, John John descended the stairs from the rooftop, his heart racing with excitement and relief. As he reached the bottom, he was met by the cheers of the rebels who had been waiting outside. They had heard the commotion from within the Labyrinth of Shadows and knew that John and Savon were engaged in battle.

John raised his hand, signaling for the rebels to quiet down. He spoke, his voice echoing across the courtyard, "Today, we have defeated the Crystal of Corruption and its wielder, Savon. Our kingdom is safe, and the future is bright."

The rebels cheered again, their voices ringing through the air. John continued, "But we cannot forget the sacrifices made by those who fought alongside us. We will mourn our fallen comrades, and honor their memory."

As John spoke, he saw Isabella and Julias approaching him. Julias looked solemn, his eyes downcast, while Isabella had a faint smile on her face.

John approached them, a sense of gratitude and relief washing over him. He embraced them both, and Isabella spoke, "We are so proud of you, John. You fought bravely, and you have saved our kingdom."

John smiled, "I couldn't have done it without your help."

They stood in silence for a moment, taking in the events of the past few hours. John's mind was racing with thoughts of what the future held, now that the threat of the Crystal of Corruption had been neutralized.

But even amidst the celebration and relief, John couldn't shake off the heaviness in his heart. He couldn't forget the faces of the fallen rebels who had fought and died alongside him, their sacrifices weighing heavily on his conscience. He knew that they had given their lives for a cause they believed in, and he couldn't help but wonder if it was worth it.

As he looked around at the crowd of cheering rebels, he saw the pain and loss etched into their faces, and he realized that the struggle for freedom and justice was far from over. He knew that there would be more battles to come, more lives lost, and more sacrifices made. And that realization filled him with a sense of despair and sadness that he couldn't shake off.

He walked away from the crowd, his mind consumed by thoughts of the fallen rebels and their families. He knew that he had to honor their memory and do everything in his power to ensure that their sacrifice was not in vain. But the weight of that responsibility was almost too much to bear.

As he walked through the empty streets, the sound of his footsteps echoing in the silence, John felt the weight of the world on his shoulders. He knew that the struggle for justice and freedom was never-ending, and that the cost of that struggle was always high. And that thought filled him with a sense of sadness and despair that he couldn't shake off.

But even amidst the sadness and despair, John knew that he had to keep fighting. He knew that he had to keep pushing forward, no matter the cost. Because the struggle for justice and freedom was not just for him, but for all those who had sacrificed their lives for the cause.

And with that thought, John squared his shoulders and marched forward, determined to continue the fight, no matter the cost.
