Julias Markus Hamlyn Delfiora, the current crown prince of Delfiora, was fast asleep, his body still and his breathing slow. As he slept, inside of the dream he found himself walking through the grand halls of his kingdom. Guards rushed past him, their faces etched with worry. Something had happened, but Julias couldn't quite place it. He felt uncertain, and his thoughts were jumbled.
"What's going on?" he wondered to himself. "Why are the guards running like that? Where did that servant go?"
Suddenly, he stopped a servant, but as he reached out to touch the servant's arm, his hand passed through the servant like a fog, and the servant disappeared. Julias looked around, the colors of the halls changing from one shade to another. The walls were adorned with intricate carvings, and the ceiling was painted with stars that twinkled like diamonds. The air was thick with the scent of roses.
He continued walking until he reached the royal chamber of the King and Queen of Delfiora. They stood with their backs to him, and Julias hesitantly called out to them. Slowly, they turned around, and as Julias looked upon their faces, he felt a sense of dread wash over him. Their faces were hollow like gray swirls, and they began to melt like candles while smiling.
Julias approached them slowly, reaching out to touch the wax-like puddle they had become. Suddenly, a hand reached out and he was pulled into the wax-like puddle, and as he looked up, he saw his parents lying on the ground their expressions twisted, with blood seeping out of them. A towering figure stood over them, a demon with skin as black as coal. His eyes glowed red, and his features were hidden behind a fearsome smile. He had a pair of curved horns protruding from his forehead, and his muscular frame was covered in leather armor.
The demon slowly turned to Julias, the world around him started to warp and twist. The grand halls turned into a twisted labyrinth of never-ending corridors, the intricate carvings on the walls morphing into grotesque faces that seemed to swallow him with their eyes.
His mind blanked out, darkness encroaching on his vision, when it left he found himself standing in a small girly room. Julias raised his head observing his surrounding, and heard the sound of sobbing noises. Turning his head, he saw the silhouette of his youngest sister, Princess Isabella Sophia Katheryn Delfiora, looking like a small child. She raised her head, her gem-like green eyes reflecting Julias.
“Isabella?” Julias said.
Isabella's eyes lit up, and she stood, wanting to approach Julias, only to be pushed down to the ground by an invisible force which grabbed her ankle, dragging her into the deep depths of darkness.

“Brother!” Isabella screamed, only for it to be consumed by the echoing surroundings.
Stars appeared on her ceiling and began to fall like rain, their twinkling turning into a deafening roars that filled his ears while the room started stretching becoming longer and distorted in proportions. The scent of roses appeared turning into a sickly sweet smell of corruption, like rotting flesh, and the air grew thick with a smoky fog that made it hard to breathe.
Julias felt his feet sinking into the ground, like quicksand pulling him down into the darkness. As he fell, he saw glimpses of strange and terrifying creatures around him, their forms shifting and changing, their eyes following him with a hunger that made his blood run cold.
When he woke up, Julias found himself drenched in sweat, his heart pounding in his chest. He felt like he had been running for days, even though he had never left his bed. The memory of the demon's blood-red eyes still burned in his mind, like a beacon of terror that refused to fade.
Julias screamed out of rage, sadness and horror, his emotions echoing through his chamber. A servant came in to check on him, but Julias dismissed him telling the servant that all is well. But deep down, he knew that he wasn't okay. His dream had shaken him to the core, and he couldn't shake the feeling that something was happening to him.
Julias felt a tightness in his chest as a wave of helplessness washed over him, like a suffocating blanket that smothered any hope of escape. The feeling was overwhelming, and he could feel his body growing heavy with despair. He tried to fight it, to push it away, but it only seemed to grow stronger, consuming him with its darkness.
The weight of the darkness was suffocating, pressing down on him from all sides like a vice. He felt trapped, unable to move or breathe, like he was stuck in a nightmare from which he could not wake up. Every thought that crossed his mind was heavy with despair, dragging him deeper into the abyss of hopelessness.
He tried to shake it off, to will himself out of the darkness, but it was like trying to swim in quicksand. The more he struggled, the more it pulled him under. Julias felt like he was losing himself, his identity slipping away into the abyss of his own mind.
He wanted to reach out for help, but he couldn't find the words. His mind was jumbled, his thoughts disjointed and incoherent. He didn't know where to begin or who to turn to. He was lost, adrift in a sea of confusion and pain.
Julias tried to sit up, to force himself out of bed and seek help, but his body refused to move. It was as if the darkness had rooted him to the spot, holding him captive in its grip. He felt like he was drowning, sinking deeper and deeper into the abyss, unable to save himself.
The despair was overwhelming, like a storm raging within him. Julias could feel the tears streaming down his face, the sobs wracking his body as he struggled to hold on. He wanted to scream, to let out the agony that was tearing him apart, but his silent voice was lost in the darkness of his chamber.
As he lay there, helpless and alone, Julias knew that he needed to find a way out of this darkness before it consumed him completely. He needed help, but he didn't know where to turn. All he could do was wait, and hope that someone would find him before it was too late.
