Slow piano played softly through out a almost empty infirmary full of small rooms, and the center of it all was a large desk where a woman sat. They were wearing pink and white scrubs with a name tag stuck to it. 'Momona'
The desk was full of magical and non-magical medical tools that were meticulously cleaned and sorted into groups that only the woman who sorted it like this would understand.
Momona's bunny ears laid against her head as she put a hand on her cheek and scrolled through her phone in her other.
She was bored and tired as she scrolled through some of the posts in her bunker.
'How much longer do you think it's going to be until they close this one?
Not sure. There's less and less Saints to close them, so it feels like a matter of time until...'
She shut her phone off and got up from her desk, looking up at the clock hanging on the wall with a sad smile. "I don't want the memorial to grow again..."
She distracted herself from the thought by doing her 12th lap around her infirmary. Her braided grey hair that reached her ankles swayed as she walked. "Should I get some games for the infirmary? Actually, yeah, the saints would love that!"
Her thin rim glasses silhouetting her olive green eyes slipped down as she noted down her idea, making her push them back up her small nose.
*BEEP* Momona turned to the noise and saw a doorway pop out of the wall. It wasn't a new occurrence to her, but the speed of its appearance set off a warning signal in her head. "That's never a good sign."
[Bleeding heart alert called... two injured detected.] An alarm rang out in the medical wing, and Momona rushed towards her desk with practiced speed.
She slammed a button on the side of it and pulled a trauma bag out of the drawer that popped open.
She slipped the strap over her shoulder, and she shot towards the newly made exit to the infirmary.
She bolted out of the room and ran down the newly created hallway at blistering speed.
Bunari as a species are known for their speed and being incredibly light on their feet, both of which she trained to the extreme.
Momona saw the injured on the ground and slid to a stop in front of them and took in the odd sight.
A small wolfen who looked like she was thrown in a blender hugging what she thought was probably an angel who was weakly struggling against them.
She flicked the side of her glasses, making them activate their ability of assessing someone's condition. Okay, what are we looking at here... Besides the obvious bone in her leg.

Momona couldn't help but squint at the laundry list her new patient had, and what threw her off even more was that they didn't have a name. "What the?"
The girl flinched at Momona's voice and turned to her with eyes of blood, and Irises of gold stared at her full of wariness. "Who are you?"
Momona blinked a few times before she regained her composure and introduced herself. "Momona, trained trauma doctor and the caretaker of this bunker."
"Oh... I'm Mera for now." Marri stood up on her one good leg, using her angel as support. She grimaced when she put some weight on her impaled leg.
"Don't get up!" Momona scrambled to stop her from hurting herself.
As she coaxed Marri to sit back down, the pink slime wrapped around her neak caught her attention. So that's Elpis? They'll be fine where they are, I suppose. Though I'm still concerned about why they're so small, Slimefolk are a very large species.
It took a lot convincing and getting slapped from trying to touch her to get Marri to sit back down. Very no touch, got it. She's going to be a nightmare to treat if she's awake.
Momona watched her a bit closer at how she was doing. she was twitching and repeatedly wincing at her any movement of her. The only reason this girl is still conscious is because of pain and stress.
Momona let out a long sigh as she opened the trauma bag, dug around in it, and pulled out an inhaler. Hopefully, this will put her to sleep so I can patch her up without fighting her at every turn.
Marri was staring cautiously as Momona popped a mask on it and checked it over. "What is that?"
"It's something to make you feel better called balder's breath." Momona said with a smile and held it up, offering her to put her mouth to it.
Marri squinted at the mask and then to Momona. "You're not lying to me, are you?"
"No, why would I lie? It's my job to help you." Marri hesitated before putting her mouth to the mask.
"Great! Get ready to take a deep breath and hold it for a few seconds. 3 2 1." Momona pressed the button, shooting a puff of air in the mask.
Marri breathed in and grimaced as she held it for 10 seconds before coughing. "Why does it taste like mistletoe? that makes no... Sense."
Marri's pupils dilated to circles and went limp for a moment. Her head drooped down and up a few times before settling on her angel.
Momona waited for Marri to fall asleep, but she just stared ahead blankly with no sign of going to sleep. "You awake?"
"Yeah. I'm not sleeping until I feel safe." Marri replied slowly, then yawned, her mouth widened to an unnatural and unsettling decree baring her glowing purple mouth and three sets of fangs.
Momona had to hold back a yelp at the sight, but her demeanor went from staring into your soul for weaknesses to that of like a cat on catnip, which helped the caretaker calm down.
She decided to just treat her while she was awake by distracting her with small talk. "So how did you only get here now?"
"Some Saints brought me here." Momona saw how jagged the bone stuck in Marri's leg was and dug around for something meant to get that kind of thing out.
"Really? Who were they?" Momona retrieved a hollow pipe and put the bone in the Hollow part and pushed the pipe through the wound.
The pipe slid cleanly through, and the bone clattered to the ground. Momona then took the pipe out and wrapped in bandages after filling the hole with gel. "There was Echo, Jack, Pulse, and Den. Echo was nice but creeped me out sometimes."
"Full moon is out there? Why didn't they follow?" Momona glanced at Marri's face and noticed that she was watching everything thing she was doing with a slight grimace but otherwise didn't stop her.
"We were attacked by something called a husk archer, so I think their dealing with them before they take a break." Momona pulled a patch from the bag and went to pull away the bloody clothes Marri was wearing.
Marri grabbed Momona's wrist and glared at her as her pupils snapped back to slits. "What are you doing?"
Momona winced at how strong Marri's grip was and struggled to stay calm. "T-there's a wound there isn't there? I have something that shows me that."
After a tense few seconds, Marri let go and partially removed her jacket herself to show the shoulder wound. "Should have said that first."
"Sorry, I didn't think about it." Marri's pupils slowly dilated again as Momona put the patch on and pulled out a pill bottle and water bottle next.
Momona took 2 pills out and offered her the bottle. "Here, this is for that concussion."
Marri took the pills with little fuss and drank the rest of the water. "Is that everything?"
"Not quite, but everything else I need is in the infirmary." Momona slipped the trauma bag over her shoulder. She glanced at her wrist. It was already bruising. That shouldn't happen...
"Alright. Could you lay down for a second." Momona turned around confused at the request but saw that Marri crawled on top of her angel and let them carry her ahead.
The walk was short, and they entered the infirmary shortly after, the slow piano still playing. "Here, pick a room, and I'll get what I need. After that, you can lock it or block it and rest if that's what it takes for you to be comfortable."
Momona watched as Marri pointed out a room and got carried to it. She focused on getting the rest of the list ready. I hope Echo can can explain what's going on...
