Bio: Born China 1984 November 25. Born into a patriotic family Line threw all his efforts towards his schooling. Studying hard he enjoyed a very successful academic career without any notable events outside of it. Graduating as one of the top of his class he went out to fight for his country. Being found to be an exceptional shooter he was quickly made a marksman.

This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience.

Fighting in numerous engagements Line was known for fighting by the book no matter how unique the situation became. Though an excellent soldier such inflexibility held him back no matter the feats he achieved. Becoming a soldier of renown within the regulars he often questioned officers on why he hadn't been given the chance to attempt selection for special forces units.

Constantly being given half truths and convenient lies in an attempt to keep him content with his position Line slowly became more and more disillusioned in the leaders he served. Irritated he went on to volunteer for other units seeking exposure for his skills hoping to be noted by an officer of renown or special forces soldiers at large.

It was in these efforts however that Line found himself apart of a false flag operation gone horribly wrong. Preparing to fight for a hospital in the country that was supposedly taken over by a terrorist organisation it was quickly revealed with the lack of contact that his force was being presented as the terrorists over the news.

Set up as a political group opposing the regime the army itself quickly arrived to quell the incursion his force had apparently made. Under fire from an overwhelming force Line and a few others managed to find a hole in the cordon before the hospital became properly encircled. Watching the situation unfold the occupants were quickly eliminated driving a resurgence of militarism within the country.

Unsure with where to go or what to do the survivors went their separate ways simply hoping to survive. Still determined to find himself held up as a legend of a soldier Line fell into the mercenary sector convinced he wouldn’t be hunted down so long as he kept his mouth shut. Surviving for a year he assumed he was correct in his assumption.

Gaining a reputation for himself in the mercenary sector only resulted in frustration. Being remembered for his by the book nature rather than excellent shooting saw employers and team leaders reluctant in rehiring him. Constantly pushing back with an arrogant attitude only made his situation worse until meeting a certain group of mercenaries.

Fighting alongside them only for a few hours Line found himself appalled by their battle conduct in how unprofessional they were post engagement. Finding himself at wits end and reprimanding the squad he just fought with brought around little more than a laugh and compliment on his shooting. Confused not sure how to react Line simply continued fighting alongside the same team.

Over future firefights he found himself breaking away from his by the book nature if only to keep up with the rest of the squad. Being forced out of positions as his team advanced forced him to adapt to the situation showing his true capabilities. Still impressing the squad regardless of not being used to adapting Line found himself fitting in with the others even while remaining largely unimpressed with their antics.

Finding his way into the zone with the others had surprisingly little effect on him. Though constantly on edge with the feeling something was always lurking in his mind the irritation certain characters of his squad provided offered a perfect distraction. Unsure why the others were so perturbed at times saw him pushing to further demand a disciplined approach to their work.

Fighting on otherwise relatively unaffected like most who entered the area Line continued on as anal as he was before. Always cleaning his rifle, always adjusting his sights, always perfecting his conduct. With the help of his squad adapting to the volatile nature of the zone he provided unparalleled support against what human threats remained. His predictability and arrogance however see himself at constant risk to the forces that tear away at the reality he believes to be a constant.
