Meanwhile, the target, Alvin Desmond, a twenty-six-year-old man, sat in front of his computer.
He had an obese body, his hair was disheveled, and his attention was fixed on the monitor, he was playing some fantasy game.
His fingers were furiously clicking the mouse.
"Fuck it," He bellowed angrily as he saw the character dying.
But then the monitor's screen began to distort and eventually went black.
"What the hell," he screamed in frustration and started hitting the monitor.
However, even after a few hits, it did not recover.
Alvin sighed as he removed his earphones, restarted his computer, stood up, and walked towards the window.
His gaze was fixed on the neighborhood's densely packed high-rise buildings.
He looked up to see the sky, but all he saw was the never-ending view of the buildings, while his ears were filled with the buzz of shouts and cries.
Yes, he was living in a slum; all of these buildings were crowded with people from the lower social classes.
His parents died when he was still in his teens. That incident devastated him, but he remained optimistic. But as time went on, he realized how cruel this society was. He barely passed college and, as a result, was unable to find work.
He tried a variety of low-wage jobs, but for some reason, he couldn't keep doing them.

He was barely surviving thanks to his parents' inheritance. He even sold his house and moved here.
He was good at one thing, and that was playing games. He even began streaming his gameplay, and as a result, he began to earn some money. That was it, though. He was just trying to make it in this world.
And as a result of his lifestyle, he became an introvert who disliked conversing with others.
But for some reason, he was restless today. He had the feeling that something was going to happen. He didn't know why, but it was a gut feeling.
He shook his head, his gaze drawn to the window of the opposite building, where a young, blonde haired girl in a white t-shirt and shorts was standing and talking on the phone.
His lips curled into a smile unknowingly. Apart from gaming, this was the only thing he enjoyed doing in his life.
As he began to live here, he became attracted to the girl who lived in the opposite building. After much struggle, he discovered that she was living there with her roommate and working as a waitress in a bar.
And, despite mustering the courage to speak to her on numerous occasions, he backed out due to his own insecurities.
Meanwhile, the blond-haired girl gave him a slight smile before closing the window.
His heart skipped a beat, but his gaze was drawn back to the sky.
But suddenly, his body quivered as he heard a voice behind him.
"Do you want to change your life?"
He quickly turned around to see a cutscene from the game playing on the monitor.
When he saw the scene, his heart skipped a beat. He had just restarted the computer, so how did the game start automatically, and what was it?
He couldn't recall ever having a game like this installed on his computer.
What surprised him the most were the characters in the game.
One was of a middle-aged man dressed in a medieval, European-styled white robe. In front of the man was an obese-looking man in a white t-shirt and jeans slumped on the ground. But because the character was facing the middle-aged man, Chris couldn't see the obese man's face.
But somehow, he strangely felt connected to the obese man.
He sat in front of the computer unknowingly, his gaze fixed on the screen.
The middle-aged man asked again.
"Do you want to change your life?"
Chris responded abruptly, his eyes dazed.
To his surprise, the middle-aged man's gaze shifted from the slumped figure to Chris, and he smiled.
"You made the right choice."
Chris's heart pounded, but before he could react, his eyes filled with white light, followed by a loud blast, before darkness enveloped him.

Alvin slowly opened his eyes, but he quickly closed them again and covered his eyes with his hands.
The sudden sunlight blinded him.
However, his brow furrowed as an unknown but familiar odor assaulted his nose. He remembered the smell from when he went Forest Trekking with his father.
The sound of insects chirping and a few howls of wolves and unknown animals reached his ears.
His heart skipped a beat, and he quickly opened his eyes to realize he was sitting on top of the tree.
The lush, green jungle encircled him.
"Where am I?" He muttered, but his eyes narrowed as he felt something on his hip.
He quickly looked back towards the source, but his eyes opened wide to see a long, golden tail dangling in the air.
To his horror, the tail was attached to his body.
"What the fuck!"
