Him(III)

The girl's mind went blank, and she couldn't comprehend what was happening in front of her.

Just a few minutes before, the man who came to her aid had been stabbed four times and was clearly dead. But then the man came to life and killed four hooligans without even touching them.

'What have I seen?' This was the only question running through her mind. Unbeknownst to her., her body was trembling furiously and her heart was thumping faster and faster.

But she was startled awake by the man's grunt. She noticed the man was struggling and covered in blood, and he was staring at her.

Her breathing became ragged, and an unknown fear crept into her heart.

'Is he going to kill me too?'

But, seeing his struggling and pained expression, she steeled her heart, stood up, gulped, and then began running.

She just wanted to get out of here. She didn't care that the man had saved her. She knew that she had seen too much and that her life was in danger.

She ran past him without looking at him, her heart racing as she saw the end of the alley. She'll be out of the alley in a matter of seconds.

But her body abruptly came to a halt. Her eyes were wide open, and her heart was pounding as if it would burst through her throat; she struggled but couldn't move an inch of her body.

Her eyes welled up with tears. She knew well that she had messed up.

Suddenly, a calm voice reached her ears.

"So ungrateful of you. I almost lost my life to save you, and you're running without even looking at me?"

"At the very least, you would have thanked me. Tsk"

She noticed the bloodied man approaching and stopping in front of her. He had a terrifying grin on his bloodied face. But then he started coughing up blood.

He staggered a little and supported himself with a side wall. But his gaze remained fixed on her.

"I can't use my power with this frail body." He muttered as he looked away for a moment before returning his attention to her.

Tears began to fall down her cheeks. She wanted to say something, but she couldn't even open her mouth.

The man shook his head and sighed.

If you come across this story on Amazon, it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.

"I wanted to restart my life peacefully."

"And I have to thank you for that. If not because of you, I would have died."

"I returned your kindness by killing these people and saving you. But I didn't expect you to be so ungrateful."

"You saw that I was injured. But instead of saving me, you tried to flee. I was hurt. I assumed we would have a bright future."

"But you know what? I hate Ungrateful people."

The girl's mind became jumbled. She wanted to cry and curse her bad luck. First, it was the hooligans, and now it's this guy. She had the feeling that her fate had already been decided for her.

It was then, that she saw something flashing in front of her eyes. She had a terrifying expression on her face before darkness enveloped her. But, before she died, she heard his final words.

"And by the way, you know too much."

Meanwhile, the man continued to prop himself up against the wall and coughed up blood. He had a calm expression on his face as he looked at the dead bodies on the ground.

His gaze then locked on the dagger lying on the ground, and it began to hover in the air, slashing the throats of everyone before falling back to the ground.

The blood of the corpses had soaked the ground. But his gaze was drawn to the blood of his body, which had been spilled on the ground as a result of stabbing and current injuries.

All of his blood suddenly evaporated from everywhere.

He sighed and clenched his teeth as he felt excruciating pain throughout his body.

But his gaze was drawn to his palm, where five white light balls were hovering. One, in particular, was the brightest.

His lips curled into a smile as the white lights absorbed into his body.

He took one last look at the corpses, and he turned around and walked away.

.................

Shopping Street, Logan City.

The shops and food stalls were neatly lined up, and the entire street was well-lit. The entire street was filled to capacity, and the air was filled with the chatter of vendors and people.

While everyone was busy with their activities, a man wearing a black blazer walked passed everyone. His hairs were disheveled, his whole body was drenched in blood.

Even though he was walking among them, no one noticed him, as if he didn't exist.

Meanwhile, the man's eyes were dazed as he observed every expression on the faces of those around him. Some were happy, some were crying, and some were having quarrels.

But everyone is living their lives completely unaware that this world is nothing more than a playground for those bastards.

Nonetheless, when he saw the scene, he felt quite at ease. How long has it been since he felt at peace?

Thousands of years. It all started thousands of years ago when he was attacked, and everything related to him was destroyed because someone spread the rumor that he was the successor of Evil God.

But fate is fickle. Who would have thought that after thousands of years, his sliver of soul would find a world which was created by those bastards to find their successors?

But he was also aware that he was not his previous self, where he was mighty and powerful. His body was annihilated, and everything related to him was destroyed. His current power is nothing but a speck of dust, even against the worthless followers of those bastards.

He knew that because these bastards created this world, someone would be keeping an eye on this star. He can't use his powers in this world until someone recognizes him.

He was lucky enough that no one found out that he came to the place where they thought it was the safest.

'Hehe, since you accused me of being the heir of Evil God. I will be the Evil God. Let me see how these bastards carry out their plans."

'Let them see how this star descends into chaos.'

The man laughed maniacally, but no one heard or noticed that the man walking among them would be the cause of chaos in three worlds.
