Lindsey eyed her former classmate in annoyance as she and the others of The Association watched him stroll forward as if he owned the place. After being released from the duke’s dungeon, she and the other who were tasked with charming the majority of the support classes learned it was him who exposed the charm. Which put him number one on their hitlist. Unfortunately, the same powers that let her and her team off easy for their crimes also made getting to him much harder. So, they bide their time and prepare for when they are released unto the world.
To make matters worse, Lindsey did not even want to be on the charm team, but someone had to steer that sinking ship. It could not be one of the royal class holders either, because that would both put them in conflict with one another and give them too much power. Enough to threaten the five hero class holders' influence on the others of the association. So, she, as the only woman in the entire group, had to watch as those entitled kids had their ways with their future support structure. By now almost all of Red Dorm was supposed to be devoting themselves to helping them with the demons before they carved out their own piece of this world. Instead, they got competition.
Lindsey held her tongue, but not her scowl, as the cardmancer stood across from the association in defiance as Duke Randolph himself appeared from behind the stands and gave a courtesy to the actual royals present before moving the gathering in the field.
“ The Association, via their representative leader Lucas has challenged Guild 88 in a duel of honor, and their representative council representative, Jeffry has accepted. I have come to be the facilitator of the duel. As the time and place have already been decided, that leaves the terms of the duel and any wagers left to be made. As challenged, Jeffry has chosen the time and place. As the challenger, Lucas has the choice of terms for the duel.”
Lucas, in his shining gold armor, walked forward and eyed Jeff with a cocky grin on his face.
“ I heard about you and watched your demonstrations over the last week. So, I know your strengths and weaknesses. Your summons are your carry, which means you are nothing without them. But I am nothing if not a gracious man. I shall offer you a choice, your summons versus an equal number of associates, or fight me one one-on-one without your summons.”

Every eye turned to Jeff and he smirked as well.
“ So that is why they are all here. I was wondering why you gathered your best pawns for a personal duel. So that is your game. As he is giving me the choice of ultimatum, I shall choose a battle without utilizing our main classes.”
Lucas seemed to smirk even wider a moment till he realized what Jeff just said.
“ Wait, I said for him to use his summons to battle us, or not use them at all, nothing at restricting class.”
Jeff smiled a little more.
“ But that is precisely what you asked. My ‘Main’ class is my summons, by restricting them you insinuate by restricting my main class as a whole. Ergo, you suggested restricting my main class. In which case, you yourself should be equally restricted. Duke Randolph, might I request the human princess and the equivalent for the other races be impartial judges? After all, it would be best to be judged by those we might consider our peers.”

Weston watched as the duke summoned several servants with a simple motion of his hand and they each soon moved to the royal children in the stands. Who each nod in agreement before moving to the central field, it soon realized to him they were chosen to judge the duel. But before that, he had come to a decision and also moved from the stands, but not toward the central field but to the platform where the guild representatives sat. With a chuckle, the saintess looked toward the other three with a smile on her face.
“ You each owe me five silvers.”
The other three groaned at this before Bobby stood and offered a simple courtesy as a fellow noble before gesturing to the empty seat.
“ As the first to approach us about our offer, I would like to offer you a seat to watch the duel.”
Weston courtesy in return as well as to the other three before taking the seat.
“ Just so you know, I can not speak with certainty on any agreement we make, but I can bring it to my father.”
Bobby nods to this and brings out a simple contract.
“ This is a preliminary agreement we wish to make. You may keep that copy. We have prepared to have the first to approach us to have priority contact with their parents as well tonight. Regardless of the outcome, we will also extend a seat to you personally on our council. Naturally, only if you wish.”
Weston took the contract and decided to read it after the duel. He could not help but glance at the saintess however and blush slightly before bringing his attention to the duel. To his side, he heard the armored woman speak softly to the saintess.
“ He is a cute one. I bet he won't reject you like Jeff did.”
Weston’s face turned slightly red as he felt the cold stare of the saintess on the armored woman.
