Jeff could do nothing as he heard the strikes of metal nearby as he lay on his back in the mud. Above him, the grey sky rained heavy drops onto his face covering the tears he was shedding to himself. With great effort, he used his still attached arm and grabbed the arrow in his side, and tried to pull it out.
“ Don’t bother Jeff. I used a particularly nasty head filled with poison. Of course, if you want to bleed out instead.”
Jeff tilted his head to look at the girl who he use to have a secret crush on. Then behind her four others from his school appeared.
“ You know Lindsey, you were always a bitch.”
Jeff then turned to face the clouds again, letting go of the arrow. Feeling a slow death more worth his time.

Jeff Trever looked out the window as he watched the heavy rain pour. The midafternoon mood of school getting out soon was killed by the spring shower. Not even the teacher had any work for the class as most others were in their social groups chatting. A few like him, a loner, or without any friends in this particular class were looking out of the window as well.
Jeff then heard the bell and looked at the clock seeing it was in fact time to let out of class before reaching for his bag beside the window. That is when he noticed streaks of fire falling from the sky. His brain barely had time to tell his body to run before one of the fiery rocks landed in his classroom. As it did, Jeff and the other room inhabitants went white.
Welcome lost soul, please select a class type Hero Saint Royal Tycoon Commander Artisan ...
Jeff could only stare at the notification, not exactly sure what it meant, His memory was foggy before this but decided to worry about that later. As he felt he should make a decision quickly.
Instantly Jeff disregarded Hero. Being an overpowered protagonist sounded cool, but realistically, looking at it from an outsider's perspective of years of manga and other media. It just sounded like a pain in the ass.
Saint sounded like he would become a figurehead. Lots of responsibility but no freedom.
Royalty also got ditched almost instantly as well. History shows enough problems with that without adding in politics and family into the mix.
Tycoon sounded interesting, but he soon thought of what he heard of the problems with money. Easy come and easy go is one. Then the fake friends and effort to always grow your financial empire. It was not for him.
Commander got him interested. His first thought on this was some kind of general or mercenary commander. Allowing him to be in charge in a conflict while not being in the conflict itself.
Artisan also caught his attention. After all, crafters were normally not in a fight. However, that took effort and skill he was not sure he had.
Giving himself a few seconds to consider he begins to go for the Artisian choice when it greyed out. Unsure what that meant, he tried to select it but nothing happened. Going back over the list, he also found hero and royal were also grey. In a panic, he quickly chooses commander.

Commander selected.
Commanders are considered military leaders that use charisma and example to lead. From bandit leader to warlord. Commander types increase the morale and efficiency of those under them. As long as they make logical decisions.
Select commander type: Troops Summoned Magic
Subtype: Army Tactical Squad|
Already magic and troops were greyed, so he hurried to select troop and found the squad already grey as well. Only hesitating for a moment, he selects the army.
