Pilot could see Caym laughing mockingly at him.
"I would advise against running away from your problem little boy…or maybe even try to take advantage of it. Think carefully before you make an unforgivable mistake my child," Caym warned.
The pain inside his head was overwhelming him. His vision faded to black and then everything went dark.
'Fawn! What have you done?!' Pilot thought frantically.
"While were on the subject of Fawn I would like to test you now that you finally have things settled shall we?!" Caym giggled.
Another snap sent Pilot back to reality as he gawked up Freeland coming out of his sleep surrounded by the goblin herd cackling and waiting behind their soldiers for their orders.
"Kid, you are finally awake!" Freeland cried.
The world was spinning around him. He couldn't focus on any one thing. He looked around. Caym, Freeland, the soldiers surrounding the group, the sun, and the air smelled sweet. The sounds of the trees, birds chirping, crickets chirping, cicadas humming, and frogs croaking.
"Caym…" Pilot whispered.
Freeland looked around to see no one around them as Pilot's head pounded the eye opened on his forehead causing him to wince in pain. His breathing was erratic and heavy. His body shivered. The smell of the woods was unbearable to him. There was so many people near him and they all seemed to be laughing. They laughed at his expense.
"Hey, kid what's going on? What's wrong?" Freeland asked.
"Caym please…help me…please…" He begged.
"You really are pathetic. I can see why Fawn wants you to be her puppet. You just want to get rid of us right? But I wonder if she actually cares! You are such a disappointment…but then I suppose that's what you deserve since you're useless." Caym laughed.
"Puppet…I am so…tired of all of this! MINDS ARROW!" Pilot screamed.
A beam of light shot through the air hitting Caym right in the chest sending him flying backwards. The goblins let out screams as they dashed toward Pilot and Freeland. Freeland shot at them with the energy blast from his blaster he made from his morphed hand and they fell to the ground bleeding and dying. Caym stood there dazed before turning around.
"Minds arrow!" Pilot shouted angrily.
The little goblins kept coming as they shoved themselves on Pilot cackling hysterically. Their eyes glowed with malice and hatred.
"Let's end this…" Pilot muttered.
Freeland grabbed his sword tightly and charged toward the little goblins with it. As he closed in he noticed that none of them were attacking him and instead were staring at his sword as though transfixed.
"I can't seem to use it again…" Pilot whispered.

His body was exhausted from the burst as it was . He needed to rest but he wasn't sure how long it will be until he was able to. He also found he couldn't with the creatures coming closer and closer. The goblin's started to growl as they lunged toward him.
"This is going nowhere fast," He stated.
"I can copy you!" Freeland stated.
Concentrated he quickly grows a third eye as entranced as the goblins in front of him. A bright blue light engulfed the goblins causing some to cry out in agony. As they ran toward Pilot their heads grew longer and taller as though being stretched on the ends of thin chains.
As each goblin approached him they began to change. They grew shorter, wider, fatter…
"What the hell is going on?!" Freeland asked.
"I have no idea!" Pilot shouted.
Caym revealed himself to slash as Pilot slashed back. Sparks flew around Caym as Pilot blocked a few hits before retreating backward. Pilot pushed Caym back further trying to escape. The goblins began to move faster as the speed increased making it difficult for Pilot to stay close.
"Fucking…brat! Die already!" Caym screamed.
"I am not playing your games!" Pilot yelled back.
One of the goblins managed to get close enough to slice into the back of Pilot's leg causing him to stumble forward. Pilot yelped grabbing the wound as Caym rushed toward him and began slicing at him again. He was only able to keep up by dodging and stumbling back. Caym got a few good hits in when the other goblins attacked from behind.
Pilot was beginning to run out of options. He couldn't defend himself forever and he wouldn't be able to win a fight if he did. As the goblins surrounded him his back hit a tree trunk.
"I am bored…I could easily kill you…but I decided I won't," He laughed.
His heart beat in his chest faster than ever. Sweat dripped off his face, and his clothes were stuck to him due to the heat and sweat which clung to every inch of him.
"Well, are you gonna say anything?" Caym asked.
He nodded his head side to side unable to speak as his throat felt scratchy. He swallowed trying to clear it away. Caym smirked taking another swing before lunging forward swinging again.
Pilot jumped backward avoiding his strike only for Caym to follow him and stop.
'No matter how many times he attacks, he has been fighting this game for years…why does it have to come to the conclusion that we were sent to this world to die?' Pilot wondered.
His laughter frightened Pilot who curled in on himself attempting to shield himself and protect his vulnerable sides from a fatal attack. Caym took his chance to grab him by the throat lifting him up with one hand and raising him off the ground.
"You need to be more confident yet this is what Fawn left me?" Caym laughed.
Pilot held on for dear life feeling the pressure increasing with each passing second as Caym raised him higher than before. He tried to kick and punch at Caym, clawed at his arm holding him tightly. Caym threw him away as he stood up. Pilot landed on the ground coughing blood
"Not yet…but soon enough…" he laughed
Pilot wiped the blood off his mouth before glaring defiantly at Caym as he picked up Freeland sword.
"I will rip you apart myself you damn monster!" Pilot roared.
Caym laughed as he charged towards him once again.
"Now now…do behave yourself," Caym said.
Pilot tried to avoid his sword slashing him across his chest as he attempted to stab at his chest repeatedly. Caym smashed the sword with bare hands sending sparks flying
and shattering the weapon.
Pilot growled before leaping forward and ramming his shoulder into Caym's stomach. Caym stumbled backward as he clutched at his gut. He kicked him hard sending Caym flying backward. Caym crashed against a tree.
before sliding down to the ground gasping for breath. Pilot turned on his heel and bolted running away with Freeland not far behind him. Caym groaned painfully and rolled onto his side before sitting back up slowly.
"He has talent it looks Caym sir," A goblin soldier announced.
"Pilot may be interesting later…" Caym whispered.
Pilot continued to run through the forest. He didn't dare stop because he knew that if he stopped he might get killed. He ran past bushes, under large oak trees, and even across streams. His body ached and his feet throbbed with every step, but he didn't care. No matter how much he struggled he couldn't stop. Even though he was barely hanging onto consciousness, he couldn't give upuntil he reachedsafety and Caym was long gone.
He stopped at one of the streams and looked over his arms, chest, and legs. His skin was scratched, blistered, bruised, and burned in places he would never admit to being hurt. The adrenaline had worn out after a while and he collapsed in exhaustion.
Freeland was huffing so far behind Pilot who was terrified he wouldn't catch up. It was getting dark and the moon was rising. Freeland could tell there was going to be a full moon tonight and that Caym was not too far ahead. He prayed Caym would not ome after them and be able to escape before the moon rose.
"Pilot! Are you okay?" Freeland asked.
Pilot flopped like a fish onto his back and closed his eyes breathing heavily.
"I thought I was gonna die for a moment! I am fine now…" Pilot answered tiredly.
"Come on we still have a way to go..." He sighed.
"I can…barely move…" Pilot insisted.
He tried to push himself back up only to slip and fall back to the ground crying out in pain. Freeland helped him sit up.
"Here, place your arm around my shoulder…" Freeland smiled. "Just keep moving. We don't want to fall asleep here...we need to be near civilization at least."
The third eye on Pilot's head closed as he kept dozing off during the travels through the dense forest. When they finally stopped Freeland pulled his shirt sleeve to wipe the sweat off his face. He leaned in close to examine Pilot. Pilot was covered in cuts, scratches, and bruises. His left cheek was swollen and purple.
"Third eye huh…Fawn put the world on his shoulders…" He sighed.
