RESEARCH RESULTS

A little more than a month had passed since the completion of the second case. The Items that were brought back from New Bristol were thoroughly investigated and logged and then brought to the warehouse where they got the title of the first strange item to handle the warehouse. Samples of the blood and tissue brought back from the dead crewmates did suggest that something that had gotten into their blood was the cause though they were not exactly sure what since none of the researchers had heard of any chemical that could cause someone to develop cannibalistic urges. They also didn’t find any chemicals with potentially mind-altering substances. Besides that, the only thing that they did was create more questions they had no answers. The log brought back from the captain's quarters solved some questions that pertain to what happened but the question that kept alluring the scientists and investigators that were assigned to go through everything brought back and create a report that compiles the information obtained during the investigation and put it onto one document.

COMPILED FILES

The compiled report is the report that brings together everything found in the investigation which is the documents brought back, the reports given by the members of the A team and all testimony and interviews during the investigation as well as all information of people pertaining to the case and post-investigation which is the research done on any items found, the analysis of the documents found which include translation into English, transcribing if it is on paper that is damaged or ruined onto new paper. Interpretation of the documents which means a deep analysis and explanation of any concepts mentioned in the documents. As well as a post-investigation of the people involved in the case. Even though the cases might seem that they don’t take a long time, the compiled report for the first case which were only a day, and only two days of actual investigative work for the second case. Even then the compiled reports were around 100 pages for the first case and several hundred for the second case. These compiled reports are useful for future reference and for record keeping of major cases.

RESEARCH WING RENOVATION

Elsewhere in the company, the construction of the research wing was finished but even then Monicas has already started to draw up expansion plans and already begun to lobby for it. Much to the annoyance of Lucia. Though Lucia reluctantly agrees that they might need more space available and promised to set aside a budget for expansion. Though Lucia wonders what happened to the area already given to her and how all of it is already used. Though upon further inspection of the labs. Lucia does admit that the area is reaching its capacity through the problem that the research wing faces the most is not a lack of space for any other operating equipment. But it is instead an acute labor shortage of scientists and because of this there's only 1 group per major field and the leader rotates as to what subfield the experiment is being done in most relates to. That being a chemistry team and biology team. With Monica being in charge of both. Upon seeing the lack of organization in both staff and room wise. Lucie takes the reins and orders an executive reorganization and renovation orders. Much to the groans of the researchers who will have to halt all research for at least a month. But their protests are ignored by Lucia who quickly draws a layout for the top lab floor (second basement floor) And tells them that this is how all the lab floors should be organized. By giving each field an area where they control and have the offices of the few researchers that don’t belong to a specific field all have their offices in one area. Lucia then promises that they would have another floor and an expansion to the other already established floors if they can organize the floors in a similar way that Lucia had shown them in the example. Lucia also promises Monica an increase in staff.

DORMITORIES

A problem that is beginning to crop up with the increase in staff from the modern is that the dormitory that has worked for so long is starting to become overcrowded. The reason that dormitories are used is because Lucia doesn’t want the staff from the modern world putting in modern equipment in personal homes which poses a bigger risk of someone from World C finding it. So, to solve the problem Lucie buys several apartment buildings in the area and turns them into dormitories That could house at least 400 hundred people each meaning that Lucia doesn’t have to worry about the issue for some time, and when better buildings come Lucia plans to build one and move everyone into one big dormitory.

PUBLIC SIDE STATUS

On the public side of the company, it was successful in eastern Massachusetts. With field offices in Salem, Arkham, and the state capital of Springfield. It also has one in Providence Rhode Island. With plans to start ones in Albany, Heartfield, and New Haven. The reputation of the public side has been rapidly growing. And all those in the know, know of the public side and all those in power now know of the private side as well as see a useful entity to help them stay in power. At the same time, the name of the public side is starting to reach high society in New York as tales of some of the more notable cases from the public side start to travel across the New England region and beyond.

SHORT STORY 3 (

Over the winter Lucie has been busy being able to hold the traditional Christmas and New Year party and instead decided to hold a party to celebrate the 2 years that their company has been operating and the record of 1 private case a year they have. The party is planned to be just among the A team and Lucie, so they only plan to use the HQ building to celebrate Christmas. The preparations took around a week to happen and involved either bringing in the decorations from the modern world or getting them locally. During this time Lucia decided to entrust the budget for the food and beverages, though she forgot that include alcohol, a mover she has come to regret deeply. The food and beverages were left to Koko and Valmet who decided to buy the food alongside a shitload of booze. The preparations were then ready, and the party began as the A team slowly expanded into a party for all the higher-ups and some of the tactical soldier officers. The party started ok but as the night began to come and the alcohol was brought out the party started to get out of control and because of that. Lucia, looking forward to drinking herself, reluctantly decided to not drink and instead maintain order and prevent the party from becoming too destructive. As the night went on the amount of booze continued and the number of people passing out drunk also increased. The party was characterized in an uncomely high amount of drinking for a mere Christmas party and that of playing video games and some drunks getting up and trying to have sex to be stopped and some being failed to stop and having sex. To then have to be stopped by Lucia or the few that agreed to not drink and maintain some degree of order. The parting lasted all through daybreak when Lucie finally kicked everyone out and had them escorted to their dorms while she, Monica, and Tanya the only members of the A team that didn’t drink. Where left to survey the destruction of the office that if not been prevented by the tactical soldiers who acted to keep things under control would have probably looked like it was hit by a bomb is tea. But thankfully due to the efforts of those that kept the party people under control and limited where the party was happening. It only was just garbage littering the floor. But the big problem that the 3 sober members of the A team had the biggest problem with was the money spent on booze. Throughout the night when they saw the amount of booze brought in by Koko and Anya, they looked worriedly at each other fearful of what the cost would be. But it was beyond their belief when they finally got the receipt. The alcohol was all brought into the c world which had 1880 prices on things. So, when they saw the total amount of around 10 thousand dollars, they both had a fit since they spent the equivalent of several hundred thousand dollars in the modern world The aftermath of the now infamous party is well remembered in the company's private side employees as how a party should not be, and none have reached that level of craziness seen… Well, actually there was that time -- and that time and um those two times. Well actually it wasn’t the worst party in company history, but it certainly is among them, and some could argue that it was but there are still some big contenders for the title of most out-of-control party in company history, from both sides of the company. Let me tell you about the parties in the 20s were certainly something. Yeah, they were something. But those stories are for a different time. So just take this story as a warmup for the coming stories of the crazy and strange parties throughout these companies that rival the craziness. But you're just going to have to wait patiently.

NOTE ON CARS

The one thing everyone in the A team is waiting to be invented is better cars.

But for now, they have the first cars that do at least ok. So, after some consideration, Lucia decides to get a few cars and put modern equipment in a way that makes it look like it is a period car but actually have it has modern engine parts and modern parts to make using it easier. But because of the usage of parts from two different periods with a huge difference in technology. The cars are quite difficult to assemble though they are quite sturdy and don’t break down easily though when they do it is a pain due to using two types of parts and the parts with modern technology are all handmade to be compatible with the car design.
