“ Newt, It’s me, Min!”
At the word Min, he settled his gaze, and his pupils shrank, and he collapsed onto the ground, not having the strength to even stay in a curled up ball. I picked up his head, and set it in my lap, caressing his smooth face.
“ Hey, Newt, it’s okay, I’m here.”
“ Oh, Min,”
Newt started sobbing. Burst after burst of quiet sobs. Each wave of tears shook his body.
“It’s okay. It’s okay. Where's chuck?”
“ I-I don't know. I felt my m-mind change, so I told him to l-leave. I di-didn't want to hurt him. It was so, so hard Min. I just l-lay there trying to gain control.”
“ It's okay Newt.”
Then I remembered the cure I had set in the snow a few inches away. When I moved my left arm to grab it, I felt a sudden burst of pain. I looked down at my shoulder, and saw it covered in blood. I had managed to get hold of the cure.
“ Newt, I’m going to give you a shot. It will help you, okay?”
It has to
Because
If it doesn't,
I don't know what I'll do.
Because if it doesn't,
I won't have a reason to live anymore.
I jabbed the syringe into Newt's arm, and waited.
We waited for ten minutes, both of us slowly bleeding out and dying.
At some point, it started snowing again.

We were both shivering now.
As night fell, me and Newt crawled over to a tree, resting our backs on it.
“ H-Hey Newt, they liked chips better. You were right.”
I knew it was stupid, but I didn't care.
Newt tried to laugh, but it turned into more coughing.
Cure didn't work
The cure didn't cure him
Well,
Now you'll both die together.
Because you couldn't save Newt
What a surprise.
When Newt looked up he saw my shoulder. The blood had now dripped down my arm, and into the snow.
“ M-Min, your b-bleeding.”
“ I kn-know.”
“ You’ll d-die.”
Tears welled up in my eyes.
I blink them away,
“ I know.”
Newt used what seemed like his last bit of strength, to sit up and reach for the bandage on his leg.
He’ll die now
Because of you
Because you couldn't save him.
“ B-B-But,”
Newt looked at me expectantly.
“But, Newt, love, if you remove that you’ll d-d-die.”
Newt yanked the bandage off and threw it as far away as he could. Which was only a couple feet.
“ Exactly. We’ll die together now, Min.”
The snow and wind had intensified, and we were both covered in snow. We were both crying now. I remembered the yellow bandanas, and pulled Newt’s out and fixed on his head. He looked up and smiled.
“ N-Now we are matching.”’
Then I was kissing Newt, and he was kissing me. I forgot about the snow, the death, the wind, and the cure. The only thing I could think about was Newt.
Newt
The one you
Killed
Stop. One of Teresa’s last words to me had been about how it wasn't my fault. I would listen to it. Me and Newt regretfully pulled away. We were both about to die. We both knew it.
“ S-sweetie, grab m-my hand, so n-no one can separate us again.”
“ O-okay Newt.”
With what little strength I had, I reached out and grabbed Newt’s hand. Tight. Me and Newt snuggled against each other, trying to stay warm. The world was growing fuzzy.
“ Newt, I love you.”
The last thing I saw was Newt’s content expression, before I couldn't see. I was blinded by white. The last thing I heard was Newt’s voice.
“ And I love you Minho.”
Then I was deafened by silence.
