Beauty’s not Everything (Poem)

*Depressing one*

Someone may hate you,

When in fact they really don't.

Maybe it's because your new,

or its beauty they only note.

So you probably think you're ugly,

But you are really not.

It's the inside person you gotta be,

Because that's all you got.

But what you don't see,

Is that, that is your beauty.

It's filled with glee,

So that's why it hurts so, it was he.

He hurt you, your insides so,

He could have hit, cheated or abused.

You were confused, you told him to go,

He wasn't going, he was amused.

That's when he told you, you were ugly,

He told you, you were fat.

The mirror told you, as you see,

And you believed him as you sat.

You became depressed, very very depressed,

All you felt was ugliness.

All this made you in a terrible mess,

You felt no use for makeup, no prettiness.

So it overcome you, took over your mind,

You saw no light, only pain.

Now you become ruthless and unkind,

Soon after, people called you 'insane'.

You agreed, agreed to this stupidness,

Felt nothing, nothing is left to do.

Becoming a slut, no stress on sex,

And one day your spewing in the loo.

Three months later, you know you're pregnant,

You felt rotten, overworked, tired.

This all meant nothing now, nothing is what this meant,

You saw you were never admired.

So you want to end your life,

Get 'it' over with.

You get a big kitchen knife,

There's nothing left to live.

But you see, you lost control,

That guy was stupid, so dumb.

He lost your great soul,

He made the inside beauty go numb.
