A STARS GIFT
I wish for you not to fear the dark,
As it makes you scared.
So, I take you down to the park,
Even though you glared!
We were lucky to just see a shooting star,
as you nearly missed it.
It was the only one you had seen so far,
As the effect and importance hit.
Seeing a shooting star makes you feel special,

As it is an uncommon sight to see.
As they shoot across the sky, they are beautiful,
Just like you are to me!
Their golden light blurs across the sky,
The distance that they sweep.
Nothing is as fast, even if you try,
It's a one second memory to keep.
The common stars are just as great,
They are always there for you.
As you wish upon one to help your fate,
You could start tomorrow anew.
They shine so lovely and bright,
There are constellations everywhere.
With no telescope, as hard as we might
Even seeing Venus is rare.
They might bring memories or luck,
Night time is not as scary anymore.
They may help you grow tough,
As they may open up a door.
As we both look up to see the stars,
You are not scared, even without light.
I smile as I point up to Mars,
Seeing you overcome your fear is such a sight!
So now little one, do you see,
That night time does have a way?
As being in the dark is the key,
to see stars, as they don't shine during the day.
