Celeste~
He did the same and took a seat on the chair opposite to mine. He was still for a second while he was centring his thoughts. "So, do you have any idea why you may have been brought here today?"
I answered honestly. "No." He took another deep breath, what was with this guy and his dramatics.
"Okay, we have reason to believe you have involvement with the Angels, you're familiar with them I presume?" I had just as much knowledge about the Angels as anyone else, I had no idea why he was questioning me out of all people about this.
"Yeah, just as much as anyone else."
"I see, have you ever interacted with one personally?"
"No, I have not."
"Have you ever met someone who has interacted with them personally?" He said.
"No, I don't think so. Not anyone who didn't interact with them the other day."
"Did any of your peers interact with the angels that day?"
"No, not to my knowledge."
He took a break after this one and looked at his notes on his sheet of paper.
"How well do you know Caspian Raven?"
Caspian? Why was he asking about him, what did he have to do with anything and why is this happening now right after we had that conversation? And most importantly, how the fuck did I answer that? We were meant to be in a fake relationship right now but I didn't know if I should go with that story or the truth about him basically being a stranger.
"I met him after our fight, we have had a couple of conversations after that." I tried to keep my demeanour as calm as possible. It wasn't that I was lying, it just wasn't the whole truth.
"What were the topics of the conversations?" Well that was personal.
"Do I really have to answer that?" He just looked at me from his seat. His hands intertwined and face as hard as steel he spoke once again. "I cannot force you to do anything you do not want to do at this stage, however, it would be in your best interest to give us all the information we want to clear your name."
"Clear my name of what?" It just all wasn't making sense and there were so many other factors to consider. Was this about the fact that first, he had wanted to protect me from the Angels? he was vague and mysterious when speaking about the situation and gave me no idea as to why he absolutely had to aside from the fact that I was heated down. Maybe that was what this was all about.
"We have reason to believe you have had involvement with the Angels." He simply just stated what he had said at the start, it wasn't helpful and his secrecy was just getting me more and more agitated.
"You said that already, what reason do you have to believe that?" It was getting more and more tense as time went on.
"They seem to be very interested in you." He cocked his head to the side as if he was examining me, analysing my facial expression while looking for any signs of deceit. What could they possibly be interested in me for? I haven't done anything spectacular and I definitely wasn't anything special.

"I have no idea why that would be the case."
"Is Caspian a partner of yours of some sort?" Back to the assassin I see.
"That's very personal." He stiffened at my aversion to his digging. He and I both knew that he had no real right to be asking me these questions, that's why he didn't press as much as I could tell he'd wanted to. Who you ended up with was a peek into your social status and a very important thing in this society, especially in this place. I highly doubted I was the only one who had a proposition like this. Fake relationships for publicity happen all the time among the higher-ups, and real relationships could come at any time. Through parental assistance or family ties, this was all very private and he was way out of his mind for thinking that I would give up this information so quickly, especially when he was being so damn cryptic.
"Okay. That will be all for today." I could tell he was irritated as he collected his notes together. "You are not in any immediate trouble, if what you're saying is the truth then you need to stay alert, I highly doubt you will be put in any position to have to defend yourself but still, this angel war isn't over yet."
"Okay." I didn't really know how to respond to that so I just chose the simplest option.
"Oh, and, it's not necessary for you to repeat any of this conversation to anyone." He phrased it as a suggestion but I knew from the darkness behind his voice that it was more of a command. "Come, I'll walk you out." He said those words a little more nicely as he made his way to the door of the room. I followed after him and we made our way back to the corridors we once came from. "Your way out, thank you for your time miss Luxe." He stood within the restricted part of the building and left the door open for me to walk through. I went and couldn't respond back because by the time I had turned around the door shut and disappeared before I got the chance to.
"Fucking hell," I said to myself out loud. Sometimes I forget that this is an actual magic Academy and not just a building.
Now I needed to decide what to do next, I was instructed not to tell anyone about what had happened but there was no way I was going to be blind-sighted if anything suspicious was going on. I needed to know what that was all about and if my involvement with Caspian was causing it. So now I had to find him. Funnily enough through all of our interactions we still hadn't managed to exchange phone numbers, he just spoke to me when he saw me in the corridor or the dining hall.
I checked my phone and it was 10:30 by this time. I was gonna check the hall first to see if our lovely assassin was anywhere to be seen. I walked back to the hall which took a while from the deepest at darkest corners of the academy. When I got there and looked inside I saw a few people, Anastasia was one of them and she was alone this time. She glanced at me but I didn't hold eye contact any longer than I needed to.
Chimen looked as though he had just finished eating and was heading out while Chilisa was nowhere to be seen. A few other randomers were sitting and eating within their friendship groups but there was no Caspian to be seen.
After a few more looks around I called it quits and moved on to the next area. I was gonna go to the gym to see if he was in there like he was a couple of days ago. I didn't wanna go back in there and I hoped I was there late enough to avoid any combat but I had to look for him either way. I turned right and made my way to the training area. He wasn't in the actual gym, it was pretty vacant aside from one or two people, I went Into all of the other rooms as well and he wasn't in them either. The only one left being the combat area. Here we go again.
I walked through the daunting doors of the room and was greeted with a crowd once again. It was a lot smaller than last time but more packed than any other room I had visited at this time. I searched for him among the crowds but there was no Caspian. I gently nudged someone who was in front of me to ask them if they had any idea of his whereabouts, they said he would be fighting again in 3 minutes and that he was in the changing rooms so that was that. I would wait until after he had finished his match to speak to him about what the fuck was going on.
I moved myself further towards the centre ring I knew the star of the show would be inside. "Oh hey it's you from last time, come back for round two?" The man standing with his group of friends joked with me. I laughed it off but nothing was really funny, I barely made it out last time and even though I held my own in the short time, I knew that if It had continued it would not have worked out in my favour.
I had a nice position at the front of the stage, close enough to see all of the action.
